Why Samsung refrigerator temperature display is blinking?

Please follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

If the door has been left open for long periods of time and the fridge or freezer doors do not close properly, the display LED will begin to blink. It will auto stop blinking after closing the door.

Please note that in some models, if the door is left open it beeps 2-5 minutes to remind you and the display LED starts blinking. After this it will stop and the display LED will have turned off. You need to lock the door and restart the refrigerator.

When your refrigerator display blinks, check the power cable. It may be loose or not properly connected.

If the power cord is properly plugged in, you may have to check your home circuit with a local electrician.

The control panel may blink when the temperature inside the refrigerator is abnormally high. It will automatically stop blinking as the temperature comes down.

The temperature may increase when a door is left open or the refrigerator recovers from a recent power failure. As long as refrigerator is working properly, there is nothing to do other than wait for it to cool down. This can take up to 2–4 hours.

The display will show the following error codes.

71 – When the freezer temperature is abnormally high or the freezer door is open for a certain period of time, the freezer temperature will increase and the freezer display LED will blink.

72 – When the refrigerator temperature is abnormally high or the door is open for a certain period of time, the refrigerator temperature will increase and display LED will blink.

73 – When the flex zone temperature is abnormally high or the flex zone door is open for a certain period of time, the flex zone temperature will increase and the flex zone display LED will blink.

Error codes 81,82,83,84,85 or 86 may appear after a power failure. Indicating that the refrigerator has not restarted correctly after the power failure.

So in that case, switch off the refrigerator, wait for a minute and then restart it again to check.
