Galaxy TAB S4: Manage Location Services

Navigate to Apps screen > Tap Settings >Tap Connections > Tap Location > Tap slider > Tap Locating method > Choose the desired locating method > Tap Google Location History > Tap Home > To open the Quick settings panel, using two fingers, swipe down from the top of the screen > Tap Location icon

 

Pictorial representation of the above settings are as follows:

 

1 From a Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen.
2 Tap Settings.
3 Tap Connections.
4 Tap Location.
5 To turn on Location, Tap the slider.
6 To select the accuracy level of your locating method, Tap Locating method.
7 Choose the desired locating method. For this example, choose High accuracy.
8 Tap Google Location History.Note: The RECENT LOCATION REQUEST section displays apps that have requested access to your location.
9 Location History stores a history of your location data. To return to the Home screen, Tap Home.
10 You can also turn Location on or off via the Quick settings panel. To open the Quick settings panel, using two fingers, swipe down from the top of the screen.
11 To turn off location, Tap the Location icon.

 

Note:  Location settings let you choose how your tablet determines your location. Setting up your location lets your tablet use advanced features like Smart Lock (which bypasses a secure lock when in a trusted location) and the My Places widget.
