Galaxy Tab S4: Use the S Pen in Text Input Boxes

To Set Up a Screen Lock Navigate to Apps screen → Touch Settings → Touch Advanced features → Touch S Pen → Touch slider → Hover the S Pen over a text field → Touch Handwrite icon → Use the space provided for writing

1 From a Home screen, swipe up or down to access the Apps screen

3 Touch Advanced features
4 Touch S Pen

Note: Direct pen input is on by default.

5 To turn Direct pen input on or off, touch the slider

6 Hover the S Pen over a text field until the Handwriting icon displays, and then touch the Handwrite icon.
7 To write an entry by hand using the S Pen, use the space provided in the window. While writing, your entries are converted into text.

Note: To edit the converted text, use the Space, Delete, and Enter icons. To change the position of the cursor, drag the pointer below the cursor to the desired position for editing. To draw images, touch Drawing mode. Touch Done when finished.
