How to use Stretch Font on the Lock screen on Galaxy devices
Stretch Font is a feature that automatically adjusts the length of the numbers to fit the background image of the Lock screen. Since the clock is adjusted so that it won't cover the subjects in the photo, you can decorate your Lock screen in a more stylish way.
What is Stretch Font for?
- Recognizes the subjects in the Wallpaper image.
- Adjusts the vertical length of the clock numbers to make them blend seamlessly with the background image.
When can the Stretch effect be applied?
- If the background image is a photo selected from Gallery
- If there is a subject such as people, animals, or objects in the photo.
- (One UI 8.0) Photos with people or animals.
- (One UI 8.5) Will be applied to images where outlines are recognized.
- If the outline of the subject is relatively clear.
- If a clock style that supports Stretch Font is selected.
- The Stretch effect works with only 2 styles from the Clock list.
Here's how to set it up!
Settings > Wallpaper and style > Lock screen > Clock > Font and color > Second font
① Choose a photo you like from the Gallery and set it as the background.
② Select Stretch Font and a clock style from the Font and color list.
③ Adjust the clock color, thickness, and location as you desire, and you're done!
Recommended for those who
- Decorate their Lock screen with photos.
- Have felt disappointed when the clock covers the subject.
- Prefer an automatically adjusted UI over simple customization.
With Stretch Clock, create a Lock screen where photos and the clock blend seamlessly.
