How to use Private album in Gallery app on the Galaxy devices

With One UI 8.5, Samsung introduces the Private album in the Gallery app, providing users with a simpler way to keep personal media secure and hidden. The Private album is protected by your device's security lock, and screenshots are disabled inside it for added privacy.

Key features of the Private album

  • Secure Access: Unlock with your fingerprint or chosen screen lock method.
  • Media Management: Share, move, or delete files directly from the Private Album.
  • Privacy Protection: Photos and videos are hidden behind your device's security lock.

Note: -

  • Screens and Images are simulated.
  • This feature is available on select Galaxy devices with One UI 8.5

A) Setting up the Private album

Open the Gallery app. Open the Gallery app.

1. Open the Gallery app.

B) Moving photos and videos to the Private album

Open the Gallery app. Open the Gallery app.

Tap on More (three vertical dots). Tap on More (three vertical dots).

Choose Move to private album. Choose Move to private album.
