Linking my Samsung Account to OneDrive

Below are the steps to sync your mobile content to your One Drive account. If you would like to learn more about the OneDrive app and using it on your Galaxy phone check out our guide Using OneDrive on my Samsung device for step-by-step instructions.

Prior to following the below instructions ensure you have successfully signed into your Samsung account on your Galaxy phone or Tab and you're connected to a strong internet connection - either using your Mobile data or via Wi-Fi connection.

Syncing Gallery to OneDrive

1 Open Gallery app icon Gallery app
Head into the Gallery app
2 Tap on three lines
Start with OneDrive
3 Tap on Settings
Agree to permissions then tap onGet started with OneDrive
4 Tap on Sync with OneDrive
Select Connect accounts
5 Read and agree the Privacy Policies by tapping on Continue
Type in email address the tap on Next
6 Tap on Connect
Type in Password
7 Allow the accounts to successfully connect
Connecting accounts
8 Once connected tap on Done
Tap on Done
1 Head into the Gallery app icon Gallery app icon Gallery app
Head into the Gallery app
2 Select Start with OneDrive
Start with OneDrive

If this popup isn't appearing in your Gallery, you can head into Gallery app icon Gallery > tap on three dots icon > Settings > Tap on Cloud sync. Alternatively, you can head into your Settings Cloud and accounts > Samsung Cloud > Tap on Make the move to Microsoft OneDrive.

3 Agree to the Permissions then tap on Connect
Tap on Connect
4 Tap on Connect accounts
Select Connect accounts
5 Either type in an existing Microsoft account to link to your Samsung account then tap on Next or tap on Create one! if your Samsung account isn't an Outlook/ Hotmail email address.
Type in Samsung Account the tap on Next

If you have selected Create one! you will be redirected to create a Microsoft account with your current Samsung account email address, continue to follow the in-app instructions until complete. You will only need to select this option if your Samsung Account isn't one of the following email addresses - @outlook.com @hotmail.com.

6 Type in your Samsung Account Password then select Sign In
Type in Samsung Account Password then tap on Sign in
7 Tap on Accept
Tap on Accept
8 Once your accounts have been connected tap on Next
Select Next
9 Select Done
Tap on Done

Syncing My Files app to OneDrive

1 Head into the My Files app
Head into the My Files app
2 Tap on OneDrive
Tap on OneDrive
3 Enter in your email address then tap on Next
Enter email address then tap on Next
4 Type in your Password then select Sign In
Type in your password then select Sign in
5 Tap on Yes
Tap on yes
6 Once successfully signed in, your My Files data will be synced to your OneDrive
Signed into your OneDrive account
1 Head into the My Files app
Head into the My Files app
2 Tap on OneDrive
Tap on OneDrive
3 Type in your Samsung Account Password then tap Next
Type in Samsung Account Password then tap on Sign in
4 Enter in your Password then select Next
Enter Password the tap on Sign in
5 Read through the popup permissions then tap on Yes
Read through the popup message then tap on Yes
6 Once you have signed in, you will be able to view all the saved content on your OneDrive via the My Files app
You will then be able to view conetnt saved within your OneDrive via the My Files app
