How to Set a lock on your Samsung Galaxy Watch

Setting a lock on your Samsung Galaxy Watch helps keep your data secure and prevents others from accessing your watch without permission. You can choose between a pattern, PIN, or no lock at all, depending on your preference.

The screen lock can be set to Pattern, PIN, or None.

  • Pattern: Connect four or more dots to create a pattern.
  • PIN: Use four or more digits, excluding consecutive or repeated numbers.
  • None: No screen lock is set.

Step 1. Open Settings > Tap Security and privacy.

Step 2. Tap Lock type.

Step 3. Tap Pattern, PIN, or None, depending on which lock method you wish to use.

Step 4. To set a PIN, Tap PIN > Tap Set PIN.

Step 5. Enter PIN number > Tap the right-arrow icon.

Step 6. Enter PIN number again > Tap the right-arrow icon.

Note:

  • When a screen lock is set, your Galaxy Watch will automatically lock when you remove the watch or restart it.
  • If you have forgotten your pattern or PIN, you will need to factory reset your Galaxy Watch. Keep in mind that a factory reset will delete all data stored on your watch.
