What is OMH Technology in Samsung CDMA phones?
Open Market Handsets (OMH) is an initiative led by the CDMA Development Group (CDG) to increase device variety and offer new channels and distribution within the CDMA ecosystem. With OMH enabled handsets, you can choose any CDMA operator, voice + SMS service of your choice. It is to be noted that the first commercial OMH handset was launched by Samsung.

Benefits of OMH Technology :
● Just by sliding in the OMH SIM card in your device, all the network settings gets activated automatically unlike the lengthy process of calling the operator, getting the parameters, entering them manually and then finally using the data service.
● The OMH SIM cards and OMH handsets can be easily recognised by the trademark OMH logo, like a gem (
) as shown above.
● The OMH SIM card and the service will not carry any additional cost with it.
● It creates opportunities for new, OEM -hosted services and also supports basic voice and SMS in Samsung CDMA Phones.
