Terms & Conditions
The “CITIBANK SAMSUNG PAY CREDIT CARD ONLINE ACQUISITION CAMPAIGN” (“Campaign”) will run from 16 January 2020 to 1 March 2020(“Campaign Period”). Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn Bhd (“Samsung”) shall reserve the right to shorten or extend or cancel the Campaign at its sole discretion without any prior notice.
The Samsung Rewards Points redemption (“Points Redemption”) will run from 16th January 2020 to 31st July 2020 on a first come first served basis. One winner of Samsung Galaxy Buds will be announced by 24th September 2020.
1. The Applicant whose application has been submitted during the Campaign Period will be approved by Citibank before 30 April 2020 (“Successful Applicant”).
2. ONE(1) winner of Samsung Galaxy Buds among successful applicants will be announced by 30 April 2020 (“Successful Applicant”).
3. This Points Redemption is open to Successful Applicant who has received email from Citibank Berhad with instruction on how to redeem the Points Redemption.
4. The Successful Applicant must own a Samsung Galaxy device which is compatible with Samsung Pay and more info can be found at www.samsung.com/my/samsungpay/.
5. Successful Applicant shall be a resident of Malaysia, had attained the age of 21 years at the time of making application to apply Citibank card.
How to Redeem
1. Points Redemption is through the Samsung Pay App during the Redemption Period only.
2. To redeem the points , each Successful Applicant shall abide to the following steps:
Step 1: Click into Citibank Samsung Pay Credit Card Online Acquisition Campaign banner in Samsung Pay app
Step 2: Click into “Input Code”
Step 3: Accept the terms and conditions and press confirm button to proceed.
Step 4: Paste the received code from Citibank email into the blank column.
Step 5: The 6,000 worth of Samsung Rewards Point will be deposited to the user Samsung Account immediately.
3. One (1) time redemption per valid Samsung Account per Successful Applicant only.
4. Successful Applicant has to redeem the voucher code within the redemption period (before 31st July 2020) and obligated to follow the proper instructions on how to redeem the Samsung Rewards Point.
Winner Selection and Delivery of Prize
Extension of Samsung Rewards Redemption Date: 31st July 2020
Winner Selection & Delivery of Prize:
1. Upon successful redemption on the voucher code by the Successful Applicant within the redemption period (16th January 2020 to 31st July 2020) on Samsung Pay. The details of the Successful Applicant will be registered in the computer system created by Samsung and winner will be selected from the pool of successful applicant who has successfully redeemed the voucher code from 16th January 2020 to 31st July 2020 on Samsung Pay.
2. Winner is required to reply the correct answer based on the question given by Samsung via email (before 27th August 2020 11:59pm). Late submission of answer will not be entertained and Samsung reserves the final right to forfeit the winner if the answer is incorrect and reselect the winner.
3. Samsung will verify the answer given by the winner and the winner will be asked to provide personal details such as, full name, shipping address, contact number and etc via email provided the submitted answer by the selected winner is correct. Winner is required to provide the correct personal details before 10th September 2020 via email. Samsung reserves the final right to forfeit the winner and reselect new winner if the selected winner failed to provide the correct personal details to Samsung before 10rd September 2020
4. Samsung reserves the right to appoint a third party (3rd) party vendor or service provider to handle the fulfilment or making available of the Prizes and delivery of the Prize(s) to you. By providing your personal information including name, delivery address, contact numbers, email address and other information to Samsung, Samsung can use and/or disclose to such third party (3rd) party vendor or service provider for the purposes of delivery service.
5. Winner announcement will be made by 24th September 2020.
6. Samsung shall not be held responsible for lost deliveries resulting from wrong information entered by Winners
7. Samsung does not undertake any responsibility or obligation to ensure that any prize will be delivered to any prize winner. To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, Samsung disclaims all warranties and representations of any of any kind, express or implied, including any representation that any prize shall be delivered or transferred to the winner(s). Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by the law, Samsung (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of this contest, including but not limited to, where arising out of the following:
i. Any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Samsung’s control);
ii. Any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference;
iii. Any claim or prize(s) that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by Samsung) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Samsung;
iv. Any variation to the prize(s) value to that stated in these Terms & Conditions;
v. Any tax liability incurred by a Participant; or
vi. Use or claim of the prize(s).
8. Any prize not won or unclaimed after 25th October 2020 will be forfeited, it will thereafter be deemed to have lapsed unconditionally and irrevocably. The winner whose prize has been forfeited or unclaimed is not entitled to any payment or compensation from Samsung notwithstanding non-receipt of notification.
Liability and Responsibility
1. By participating in this the Campaign, Successful Applicant agrees to release and hold Samsung and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, advertising, promotion, and fulfilment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the the activation campaign or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the product, or travel to or from collection of gift, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
2. Citibank Berhad (“Citibank”) or Samsung will not reimburse, compensate or otherwise be held responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged on the redemption code.
3. Samsung Rewards Points is not exchangeable, refund, turn into cash or transferable.
4. Samsung shall not be responsible for any inaccurate details provided by the Successful Applicant to claim their Samsung Rewards if any and reserves the right to disqualify the Successful Applicant in the event of violation of any of the Terms and Conditions.
5. Samsung has the absolute right to disqualify/remove any submission by the Successful Applicant that is fraudulent, dishonest or malicious towards any party or has potential adverse impact to the Points redemption and/or Samsung’s brand and reputation.
6. Except where expressly provided herein, Successful Applicant shall bear his/her own costs and expenses incurred and/or arising from his/her participation in the Points Redemption including transportation, accommodation sustenance and any other costs in relation to the collection of gift(s), and no reimbursement may be sought from Samsung and/or the sponsors.
Terms of Participation
1. By Participating in this Campaign, the Successful Applicant is deemed to have unconditionally agreed to and accepted these Terms & Conditions stated herein and Citibank Samsung Pay Credit Card Online Acquisition Campaign Terms & Conditions at https://www.citibank.com.my/english/promo/samsungpay/pdf/samsungTnC.pdf.
2. The Successful Applicant acknowledged that the Samsung Rewards Points can only be redeemed and used by the Successful Applicant only.
3. The Successful Applicant understand there will be one (1) time redemption only and to be redeemed within one (1) month from the date the Applicant receive the email from Citibank with instructions on how to redeem the Samsung Rewards Point, failing which Samsung shall not be liable for any late submission or any loss or damage incur.
4. One time redemption code is not allowed to transfer to or used by any other person. If the Rewards Points are awarded to and received by any persons who are not the Successful Applicant, Samsung has the right to disqualify or suspend such persons from enjoying the Rewards Points and/or redeeming or using the Rewards Points. Samsung shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the Successful Applicant as a result of such act.
5. Samsung reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
6. In case of any dispute howsoever caused in connection to or arising out of this Campaign, Samsung reserves the right to make the final decision.
7. Each Successful Applicant agrees that Samsung may, for a reasonable period of time, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or making phone calls to the Successful Applicant
8. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia and disputes directly or indirectly arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
