[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. This 9kg washer/dryer is like a TARDIS as it is physically no bigger than a standard machine however consumes 9kg of washing. I am a computer scientist by traning and consider myself quite technologically spohisticated, however the Smarthings Wi-Fi aspect seems a solution looking for a problem. To start you have to give the mobile application FULL access to your phone, why does a washing machine need to know my address book contacts, that is intrusive and badly desgined. I got around the issue by installing the applicaiton on my Amazon Fire to test it out. Another thing is if you enable Smarthings even if you turn your machine off, the Wi-Fi is still on and sending data to Samsung? I am wary of the security of Internet of Things devices, so turned the Wi-Fi off. Now for the positives, as a Washing Machine to wash clothes, it is a serious piece of hardware. It is QUIET compared to my old machine and especially on SPIN cycle. The design of the detergent compartment is ingenious, checkout the pictures, no more BLACK bacterial buildup inside your detergent compartment which is a nightmare to clean as it is self-contained and completely removable. Also you can pre-fill a months worh of conditioner and the machine auto-doses so nologer an issue of forgetting to add conditoner. I have never had a dryer before, however it is a godsend know that the weather had changed, and my towels are literally rejuvenated being soft, smelling of conditioner not damp and fluffy. The energy usage of the dryer is not too high either. I would prefer the LCD display to be BIGGER as the lettering is quite small, and I find the user interface not particulary intuitive. Also the machine dis-regards my settings sometimes and a short 1hr30min cotton wash turns into a 3hr30min wash, you can customise the programmes; however I will CONFESS to NOT reading the instruction manual fully :-). It is ad advanced, somewaht complex piece of equipment; however for its purpose of washing clothes CLEAN, it cannot be faulted, so recommended.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. I've been using the machine for a week and have been really impressed with the features that i have used. The larger capacity has been great with the children's clothes and sports kits. The weather has been awful so I have been using the dryer and the cloudy day setting. I have used the delayed end setting a lot - it is great to be able to have your washing all done and waiting for you so it isn't sat in the machine for a long time wet. The 15 minute wash feature has proved to be a life saver twice when my kids forgot to give me t-shirts for clubs that they then needed that day. The auto dose feature for fabric conditioner is great. Just top up the slot and forget about it. I've used the dryer for my towels and they came out really nicely warm and soft. The quieter wash is also a really good feature for washes that i have put on delayed end to finish when I get up in the morning. The only slight niggle that I have had is a slight whining noise when I have put some towels on to wash on a high spin. Machine is level so not sure what causes it and doesn't happen on every wash. That is what dropped it down to 4 stars. Otherwise really great machine that is much better than my old machine. Very sleek design and I love the digital display. I've been using the Smart things app as well and have found this link to the machine really helpful. My Daughter especially loves the music that plays at the end of the cycle. One piece of advice - don't do what my Husband did when installing the machine. We have the plug behind the machine so he plugged it in and turned it on before moving it back into the space. When moving it back he inadvertently pushed the on button and the dial not realising that this set the language as part of the machine set up so, for the first hour we had all of the menu options in Danish. Not being fluent in Danish it took some research on the Samsung support site and some counting of menu options to be able to reset this into English again. Overall though really impressed with the functionality and options on the machine. Really flexible and there is an option for everything and it can all be tweaked for temperature and spin speed. Very pleased so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. I have been using the machine for a couple of weeks and it has been great. The additional capacity has been great. I am able to do fewer washes and with kids and school uniform it has been fantastic. The bubble soak has been great for the white school shirts and polo shirts - the stains have been coming out a lot easier. The machine is quiet, including on the spin cycle generally. We did have a wash with three towels on the highest spin that seemed to be a bit noisy otherwise it is nice and quiet. The quieter wash feature was really quiet compared to my old machine. I have been using the automatic dosing of the fabric conditioner. I really like that you are able to top up the conditioner and forget about it for a few weeks. The same feature is available for washing liquid which I used for a week and just as good. I've used the dryer for some towels and they came out really warm and soft. Given the awful weather I will be using the dryer a lot. There are a lot of options for different cycles and features. I particularly like the delayed end feature and have used this a lot. I like that I can see on the app when the wash is due to finish. It's great to be able to get up in the morning and the wash is all done and waiting for me. The quick wash has come in really handy with forgotten t-shirts and cubs outfits for my son. So far really impressed with the wash, the noise levels and the range of washes available. It's a great washer dryer and I would recommend it to others.

I received this washer dryer from Samsung for product testing purposes. The washing machine is sleek and looks good in the grey. The digital screen is very subtle and easy to read and operate. I like the fact that when the machine is off you can’t see anything. One of the best bits about this machine is the app integration. At the start I thought I wouldn’t use it, why would anyone need to use an app to select a washing cycle? However, having used the app now I wouldn’t want a machine without it. With previous machines I would just use the same wash cycle regardless of the contents inside - a bog standard eco wash which lasted 2 plus hours. The app with this machine works by filling in a simple recipe: type of wash; level of soiling and finally if a dry is required. When you have all the ingredients in the recipe the app suggest the most appropriate wash setting and then you send this to the machine. This works perfectly, although the annoying bit is you can’t then start the wash; you have to go to the machine to press start. Since using the app my washes have been shorter and more efficient, and I use a much wider variety of wash settings – some I would never of used without the recipe app. If you don’t fancy using the app then the machine itself is easy to use. To select your wash setting you turn the dial until you find the desired setting. There is a wide range to choose from, some being obvious e.g. cotton dry and some more obscure, e.g. hygiene steam. The manual is very limited in the description of the settings, so without the app most people would not know what these are used for. I’ve never really given much thought to the act of adding detergent and softener to the machine each wash but with this machine, someone has very cleverly made this incredibly easy. The drawer has three compartments; softener, detergent and manual. The two compartments at the front are quite large and hold enough liquid detergent and softener for at least 20+ washes depending on the setting you choose. It sounds silly but not having to add this in each time you put a wash on really saves you time. You don’t have to worry about it until the machine tells you that levels are low. If you don’t like this feature or use powder you can still add it in manually with each wash. Another feature I never saw the point of was the addwash door but since having one I have to say that I do use it. It is very handy when you come across a stray sock or a tea towel that needs a quick wash. When in operation the machine is very quiet. I often use a wash and dry setting to wash towels over night and you can’t hear the machine working. The only irritating thing is the end of cycle music. This seems unnecessarily long and I still can’t find a way to turn it off. Like I mentioned earlier the operating manual is very limited and a bit unhelpful. This is at the top of the range and therefore somewhat more expensive than others, however after use I actually feel that these features justify it - especially the app, which is already reducing the amount of time (and therefore electricity) needed for my washing.

Having the opportunity to test it for Samsung couldn't have come at a better time as my last washing decided to break down the weekend before it arrived. This is my second Samsung washing machine and I have noticed that it is a lot quieter and has more washing modes to choose from. I also like handy for a working full- time single parent of a messy 8 year old. There are lots of different modes to choose from including: towels, colours, bedding, delicates and many more. I like the fact that you have the choice of adding a drying mode to your wash to save time. Which is very is also a cloudy day mode to make sure that the washing has been rung out in the machine so that it can dry quicker around the house which is very handy at this time of the year. The only couple of things I would say are a small negative is that it does not have a white wash as well as the colour one and also I am finding it tricky delaying a wash without having a go with the app. Delaying washes on week days helps me as it means I can set a wash to finish when I get home from work. But saying that, I like the fact that the machine weighs the load of washing that you have put in and adjusts the time of the wash as necessary. Liquid tabs are dissolved well and the washing always comes out clean, fresh and not too damp if you need to hang it on the clothes horse. All in all, a great washer dryer that I would recommend.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. I was keen to try out the smart connectivity. The app was easy to download and the functionality makes the machine easy to use. There are no knobs to select on the machine itself, wash/drying cycles are selected by recipe on the app via garment types i.e. jeans, shirts, socks. Smart phone accessibility features work well too. I have used many of the different programs available. In comparison to my previous machine I find the programs quicker and the garments certainly come out feeling softer. This was particularly noticeable after using the drying facility on my towels. One of the features I particularly like is being able to add items once the machine has been switched on such as odd socks which get dropped as you carry clothes to the machine.

I received this washer dryer from Samsung for product testing purposes. We have been using this washer dryer for slightly over a week, it was unpacked and set up by the courier company. It has 9kg washing capacity and 6kg drying capacity. This washer dryer is one of the best I have owned to date, due to its multi-functional features. It has an auto optimal wash feature, where the guesswork is taken out for the user, so the washer dryer works out the rinse time and water required according to the weight of the clothes through 4 sensors. You can wash 2kg of clothes in a quick 15-minute cycle for when you are short on time. On occasion, when clothes need to be ‘squeaky’ clean, there is a hygiene steam cycle where hot steam is released and kills up to 99.9% of bacteria and inactivate allergens. It also has eco-bubble technology which enables the user to wash their clothes at cooler temperatures, thereby saving them on electricity bills. One of the major plus points of this washer dryer is the add-wash feature as there has been numerous times where clothes are forgotten to be put in the washer dryer. It has a small door, so the wash cycle can be paused and forgotten clothing can be put in. So handy! Another major plus point is the smart-control feature of the washer dryer. This is great for users who want to monitor their wash cycle in real time when they are far away for it! The smart control feature can be used by downloading the Samsung Smart things app, which is easy to link to your washer dryer. The washer dryer weighs 81kg, it is well-built and extremely robust. It is efficient, saves space in the home, and has made my laundry routine more convenient. This combo machine is impressive, usually with items that have two separate functions you would expect to compromise on one of them. However, it works perfectly to wash my clothes and dry them thoroughly. Drying times are slightly longer, but it's a minor inconvenience. To offset this, a combo machine can be a convenience if you're heading out and won't be back in time to move your clothes to the dryer. I have had 3 Samsung washer dryers and have only purchased so many as I wanted to change sizes and gave them away to friends as they still worked perfectly. You can’t go wrong with a Samsung washer dryer! I notice they are disappearing though with only 2 or 3 versions in stores. The steam function, bubble shot, and general care of improving the quality of my clothes makes it better than all on the market! The dryer may take longer but it keeps the color and quality of clothes better than any dryer. I hope they don’t stop making them! Sadly I have to sell my current one as it doesn’t fit in my apartment. I need a 60x60 but I have loved this machine, sad to see it go!

It has a lot of washing functions such as for delicates, wools, colours, towels etc and there’s even an option for a cloudy day with a powerful spin for this rainy winter season. The only disadvantage from this is since you wash and dry in one machine, you cannot use the washer and dryer at the same time unlike when you have a separate washer and dryer. Overall, we love this machine and we’re really happy with this. Hoping this would last more than a decade just like the other Samsung washing machines that we had before.

Very disappointing. Bought this 3 months ago and it leaves a lot to be desired. The self cleaning drawer is not really self cleaning. I have to take it out from time to time and rinse it thoroughly from any residue. The drying mechanism is very rigid, it won’t let you adjust drying temperature. The clothes come out smelling burnt. The smart things app is just too simple. It won’t let you turn on the washing remotely. You still have to press the button on the machine. What’s more, if the door is locked for some reason, the app won’t inform you what the reason is. Not satisfied at all.

Avoid Samsung laundry products. As you'll read in some of these reviews you'll likely have more issues than cheaper products. On our top of the range washer dryer the auto dosing stopped working within 2 years and then at just over 3 years the drums stopped spinning. Having spoken to customer services and escalated to the highest level there is absolutely ZERO support beyond their warranty period. And their authorised repair company then charges 50% more than a local company just to come and look at it. Lesson Learned. Never buying a Samsung laundry product again. Please avoid!

Pros: I love the smart functions, auto dosing, and that you can wash and then dry without taking the clothes out. Cons: I sent the the first machine I had back because there was dents and cracks. I’ve had the second one less than a year and there are cracks again at the top. The front of the drawer is coming off too. It gets blocked easily and regularly, so I would advise anyone purchasing to put small items in mesh bags before washing. I’ve had to unblock the filter on a regular basis, whereas I’ve never had to do that once before with my old washing machines. Recently, I was not able to get the blockage out and had to pay for someone to come out, which was expensive. Overall, I’m just not happy with this purchase, and after contacting Samsung, they refuse to do anything about it. I could have bought a machine half the price from a different brand and had better function and quality. I’ve had more trouble with this machine than any I’ve ever had before, which were significantly cheaper and older. I would not purchase this again, and do not recommend it. I expected more for my money.

I bought this washer a little over a year ago. It is crap. The smart functions don’t do anything. My machine “detects that it needs another cycle” even when I put two socks in to test it. It leaks water everywhere. I had it repaired and the issues is still occurring. Samsung isn’t refunding me. Making me get it repaired AGAIN before they consider a refund. Now stuck with a yellow stained washer due to a fault that I could not have prevented. SO unhappy! Hoping it faults again so I can get rid of the thing! I’m sure it will. Smart wash and dry takes about 7 hours.

I have had this machine for 4 months and it looks fantastic. The only issues is that it doesn't work. It constantly stops at the end of the cycle stating there is a water supply issue (when there is nothing wrong with the supply) and it doesn't dry clothes (actually makes them more wet than they would be in a drying cycle). If you want something nice to look at then buy the machine, however if you actually have the intention of washing and drying clothes then i'd suggest alternative options.

The Auto Dose feature is great, you can set the machine for use in a hard water area so it gives the correct dose of conditioner and detergent, although you can turn this off if you want to use pods. Love this washing machine. For the longest time I wanted a Washer Dryer Combo machine. They are a great for my lifestyle and this model fits in well with my setup! I have purchased this washing machine more than 2 years (pre COVID) and it has served me and my 80yo mom well so far! I have hooked up to the Google Home system and it definitely helps with our daily routines! I tend to use the Dry setting regularly + Finish Time setting. So now I can finally have washed + dry clothes when I get clothes ready to be packed away. The dryer function really dries the fabric same as a loose standing dryer does, it’s absolutely amazing! Note: Washer Dryer Combos are not really suitable for large families, but if you single + one other and in an apartment and space is at a premium I would highly recommend this washing machine!

My notes: - Tracking on my phone in the app: seeing the cost and times it runs, picking custom cycles and knowing how long it has is amazing. Only thing is why won't it stay on remote connect when a cycle finishes so I can set a dry cycle separately.. - Drying time can be long (6+ hours) but for 2 people we don't mind. We set it over night or when we leave the house and there is shorter options but that fully dries them. - The weighing feature is good it seems to finish early if there is less clothes - Fairly quiet I don't find it too noisy or bothersome - Size is great for 2 people we wash work clothes 1-2 x week, towels/bedding 1x week and other clothes 2xweek and this is perfect for us.

Just after a weeks I bought it, turn out it was sold with a factory fault. It leaks water when you run drum cleaning feature and you do not get to run it before the first 40 washes done. So you won't get it replaced if you do not run drum cleaning within the 15 days of purchased. And Samsung Gulf is not even replacing it. The brand do not have the global service quality in the region. Samsung will come with headache if you purchase it in the Region.

The advertised features although detailed do not reflect the difficulty in managing the product where standard settings might need changing. SmartThings WiFi option is not intuitive and once one mobile device has been used to set it up on the WiFi I have not found a method of adding the machine to a second mobile device. Cotton Drying cycle seems to add some water during the cycle and have not obtained documentation on the cycle details.

You can set your wash cycle using your Smartphone App makes washing fun and set various settings and you just send your setting with one button. Clothes are washed very well and the spin cycle takes out most of the water. Highly recommend Samsung washing machines.

Works great! So convenient having a combo washer dryer as I can set and forget. There are lots of different washing cycles. I use the 39min super speed wash cycle and add drying for a total of 3h. There is also a quick wash 15min one which comes in handy. It adds in the detergent and softener on its own and also can self clean.

Nice looking machine but dry cycle performance is poor, not to mention the dry cycle getting stuck in a loop at 1min remaining. Evem a tumed 60min drying cycle will extend out to 75 or 90min. That and the add garment door endlessly leaking whem a bit of lint ends up in the seals mid cycle.

Very quiet even on the fast spin. The only think I'd say is more instructions needed on the initial setup as I had to Google how to use the touch screen and wasn't sure how to follow the learn about your machine prompts (though skip meant skip the whole lot)

The autodose system is an absolutely boon and I am now using far less liquids than my old manual dose machine

We have had this washing machine for almost 2 years and it has served us well so far! We have it hooked up to our google home system and it helps so much to keep track of the washing! We use the dry setting regularly! Have found it great for cloth nappies.

So quiet, I use the AI wash mostly and tend to dry outside. On the odd occasion I use the dryer it's amazing. I love the auto dose, Everything about this washer dryer seems to make my life easier. A lover of smart things this also gets a thumbs up!

I usually use Oxy white powder to make wash whiter, but you are unable to add powder to this machine. The drying cycle can take up to 6 hours which is rather long

So far a complete failure. Loads of programmes which mean you can't control the simple matter of washing clothes. First day and three washes in it has gone wrong. Error code that there is no water supply. No problem with water supply.

This washer is perfect if you are looking to save space but the performance of the dryer is at best average. If you have space to stack a washer and dryer or accommodate side by side, you are better off buying separate appliances.

Constantly pauses, unreliable, noisy & door latch loose. Hadn’t lasted 3 years. Lots of problems, Samsung very unhelpful despite pause thing being a common problem with online feedback. Would be great if it worked!

This washer Dryer has a build-in detergent and softener container which make it very user friendly. No need to fill detergent and softener every time I wash clothes. Overall very happy with the machone.

Like everyone I was abit sceptical at first of purchasing a washer/dryer combo but after doing lots of research and reading all the good and bad reviews and im absolutely happy that i went through with my purchase I have found the washer to dryer capacity quite decent and so far everytime it has completely dried my clothes once it's finished. I have 4 people in my household including 2 little kids and found this has been an absolute life saver being able to set and forget. Yes it does take 3 hrs to wash and dry which is quite normal when you consider most wash cycles are around an hr anyway and most dry cycles are over an hr too. So for me 3 hrs is quite reasonable to complete both. It has lots of great functions and is extremely easy to operate. Love the add wash feature for any little bits you forget The wifi feature is amazing in prescribing a wash cycle for you. And have to love the auto dosing feature which is fantastic as my hubby would always put the wrong detergent in the wrong compartment and completely overload it with detergent. Now there's no need to worry as I just fill it up weekly and it's good to go. So if your thinking about a washer/dryer just do it you will not regret it, my only regret is I didn't get it sooner
