Protect your privacy during repairs with Maintenance mode

Maintenance mode protects your privacy while someone else is using your phone, such as when you are sending it for repairs. This new privacy feature blocks access to your data for peace of mind while it is out of sight. It's easy to enable and lock down your sensitive data in just a few steps. Just one more way Samsung makes life simple and secure.

How to set up Maintenance mode

Go to Settings. Go to Settings.

Step 1. Go to Settings.

Step 2. Find 'Battery and device care'.

Step 3. Scroll down and choose 'Maintenance mode'.

Step 4. Click 'Turn On' to activate maintenane mode.

Step 5.Choose 'Restart'.

Please note: Once Maintenance mode is active your personal data cannot be accessed, and only pre-installed apps are available.

How to exit Maintenance mode

1. Swipe down to open the notification panel at the top of the screen. and tap 'Tap here to exit'.

2. Click 'Exit'.

3. Tap 'Restart' and confirm your identity and then reboot.

When your phone finishes restarting, your data returns to normal with no traces of repair left.
