What is Philips Hue?

Philips Hue is personal wireless LED lighting. Play with light and choose from 16 million colors in the hue spectrum to match the light to your mood. The possibilities are up to your imagination.

• Turn lights on and off when a door is opened

• Turn lights on when motion is detected

• Set the mood by changing the colors of your lights at the right moment

• And much more

Turn on a Hue light when motion is detected

1 On the home screen, tap on the Menu icon (three vertical bars on the left)
Tap Menu
2 Tap Automations
Tap Automations
3 Tap + icon
Tap + icon
4 Add one of the recommended or create a custom automation
Add one of the recommended or create a custom automation

Create a Custom Automation

5 Tap + icon under IF column to add Conditions

a. Based on a device status
Add Conditions
6 Tap Based on device status
Based on a device status
7 Choose the Motion Sensor
8 Tap Motion Sensor
9 Tap Motion > Next
10 Tap the + icon under THEN column
11 Choose your Hue Light
12 Tap On (configure color/dimmer level if applicable and desired)
13 Tap Done twice, then Save to save the Automation
