    When making a phone call people on the other end can't hear very well or say the call is muffled. Why is this and how can it be solved? I've only had the phone about a week and every time I call someone everyone says the same thing that the call is muffled and they can't hear me properly (I don't get this problem with my old phone - a different make).

    During a call hit the menu key and turn OFF noise reduction. :-) This fixes it.

    I have exactly the same problem. I replaced the phone cover for a Samsung cover and still have an echo when people call me and muffled when I answer. Frustrating!

    I have the same issue with a Samsung case fitted, (it does not cover either the top or bottom mic's) However when I take the case off, the issues goes away completely. There are two theories, 1) The microphones are not seated correctly and therefore when you put a case on the phone, it forces the sound around the inside of the phone, causing the echo for the person on the other end. 2) It is a faulty UI board GH59-10949A which requires replacing.

    I had the same problem. Turned out to be caused by the way i held the phone to my ear, my hand cupped the phone and covered the tiny hole on bottom for the microphone. Now im aware of it i dont have that problem now.

    Generally this issue would be caused by a case or other object obstructing or blocking the microphone at the base of the device. If this is not what is causing your issue you can do the following, while in a call go to Tools and select Noise reduction.

    the only place it will not work on 3G that I know of is T-mobile in the USA. T-Mobile uses the only frequency that the phone does not support. However, the phone fully works on AT&T's 3G (HSPA+) network in the USA.

    Recently my phone's battery duration has decreased dramatically, lasting no more than six hours before crashing. When it does shut itself down, it will not start up again once plugged in to the charger. Today, I turned it off to conserve the battery power and now it will not switch on again at all and will not recharge when plugged in. I am not sure whether this is simply a battery problem, i.e. the battery itself has worn out, or whether it is another fault altogether.

    It takes 2-3 cycles of full discharge and recharge for the Operating System to fully optimise the battery, also I would switch off Google Now as this is a major battery killer, I have also found I can get more battery If I move the display brightness slider fully to the left and then tick the "Automatic brightness" box.     Could you please tell me why it is that my son has the same phone as me and last week he got the latest version of 4.1.2 Jelly Bean updatednto his Samsung Galaxy S2 and when I try it keeps coming back no updates available. We are both on the same tariff which is Tesco Mobile O2. I am quite disappointment that I can not get this. Could you please tell me why I am not getting the download to my mobile.

    Screen says memory full, when I look there seems to be plenty of space on there. I've moved everything I can to the sd card and deleted as much as I can also. Ive cleaned the cach etc.....Help appreciated

    No need to restore the phone AT ALL! open the phone dial and type in: *#9900# and another screen will show up. Click on Delete Dumpstate/logcat and scroll down and click on Exit. Give it a minute and your low mem warning will go away. The reason for this low mem is some applications conflict with others or they leave a huge log constantly.

    Go into task manager , from top options select 'downloaded'. You will see all the apps you have downloaded with option to uninstall

    Hi, This is an issue we are unaware of. Could you please check that your settings are entered correctly. Alternatively please uninstall and reinstall the app. It may be just a corrupt file that this will fix. Lastly you can try and download from a different source.
