Answer
I've got the same problem but mine;s due to having a Service Centre reset my phone after it froze following an earlier upgrade! So now what do I do?!

Why is it since my galaxy s2 software updated,my battery doesn't even last the day now.

Answer
It takes 2-3 cycles of full discharge and recharge for the Operating System to fully optimise the battery, also I would switch off Google Now as this is a major battery killer, I have also found I can get more battery If I move the display brightness slider fully to the left and then tick the "Automatic brightness" box.
