    Hi, after updating my UK Galaxy S4 (I9505) to KitKat 4.4.2, I am no longer able to connect to Glonass satellites. My phone can detect them and locate them but does not appear to connect/make use of them. As you can see in the attached screen shot, this is a quick test using a GPS test app that shows a normal satellite connected but a Glonass satellite detected but won't connect. I am aware of other users facing the same issue. Can you advise if this is a known fault or issue?

    on android 4.4.2, same application with same version is showing GLONASS FIX on HTC ONE, Note 3 and even on S4 GT i9500 but not on my S4 LTE i9505 Ireland version

    Same is the case with my S4 LTE (Ireland-vodaphone ver) After updating from Android 4.3 (XXUEMJ7) to Android 4.4.2 (XXUFNB8) via samsung KIES my S4 wont acquire valid GLONASS fix, the satellites are shown but not used ... i have done master master reset as suggested by samsung support UK but no luck ... :(

    Hi it's not a problem with the app, the phone's GPS is not connecting to Glonass satellites. The app is simply showing that this the case.

    Is there any plan to release the 32gb version in the UK soon? 16gb is not enough for me. I have waited as I do want the S4, but I guess I will soon have to look at an alternative phone.

    The 16Gb S4 has just over 8Gb in reality. How they can even call it 16 is beyond me. APP2SD should be out anytime for the S4 but Samsung are keeping tight lipped over it. Even getting Flak on their Facebook page, for not treating their customers well. As always we in the UK get treated badly, get the inferior models. Selling my S4 to get an HTC ONE, which I should have got in the first place.

As always you can register online at our Samsung UK website to receive up to date news on all our upcoming products and services.     Just want to clarify before I go on a trip around Europe using the Samsung Navigation app. Does the GPS use network data and therefore cost me a lot in data charges or is it free like the tom tom for example?

    Hi, The GPS itself does not use data, however, the applications will require data usage in order to download maps. You may wish to contact your network provider regarding data charges when roaming. Thanks

    Since I updated to 4.3 on my galaxy s4 I can no longer connect to my iPad air via Bluetooth. Worked fine before, any one else experiencing this. I have unpaired the devices and reset both.

Old systems settings can be left on the phone after an update occurs, which is why we usually recommend a full factory reset after updating. If this isn’t done your device may begin to give false readings from system resources, or experience technical problems, which may explain the issue you are having.     The last 2 weeks my phone keeps switching itself off when i try to do anything. When it does the phone gets warm and wont turn on unless i leave it for awhile or plug it into charge. When i try to turn on it switches itself off and the power drops quickly.

    Hi, Please backup your phone using Samsung KIES. Perform a factory reset by pressing Menu > settings > Accounts > Backup and reset > Factory data reset . When this is completed please connect your phone to Samsung KIES and restore your phone. Thanks.
