[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impressions when i opened the box was that it looked like a slim and sleak, modern sound bar. It seamlessly connected up to my TV via bluetooth, and instantly sounded better than the rubbish sound you get with modern TV's. The instructions are clear and the sound bar is easy to use. Quite basey at the moment which can almost make the speech sound a little quiet at times so need to figure out the settings on that. Definitely a lot better though and worth the money i feel. It's a great quality sound bar, which I expected from samsung. The sound bar also fits perfectly on our TV stand. Pretty pleased with it overall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I struggled to set up the Samsung S800D soundbar and pair it with my tv even with following the written instructions. Once it was paired, the sound quality was superb. Excellent sound with the ability to adjust the base. I especially liked the 3.12ch Dolby Atmos which filled the whole room with crisp audio. The speakers in my tv and the sound bar worked together to operate as one. It was amazing watching a movie using the Samsung HW-S800D with the wireless Dolby Atmos, you could hear every word and it gave us a new listening experience in our own living room. It has a modern, sleek design which blends well with my television. The subwoofer is not huge, so is fairly inconspicuous. I would recommend this soundbar to friends and family.

The sound is clear and crisp, and the virtual surround feature sounds great, even without the side and rear speakers. The slim and lightweight design allowed me to install it just under the TV on a Full Motion TV Wall Mount, giving it a sleek look. The subwoofer adds extra punch, and since it's wireless, I was able to discreetly hide it inside the bed frame.

We mounted ours on the wall under the TV, which was super easy with the included hardware and sticker for screw placement. The sound quality is excellent, so detailed and balanced! The subwoofer placed to the side of the TV stand is fairly discreet visibly, while still packing a big punch sound wise. We have been thoroughly impressed with the sound quality and aesthetics of our new set up.

I would definitely recommend this system if your looking to improve your sound quality as it submerges quality sound all around. The slim design is also a huge plus as well as the fact that the system can be wireless if you choose. It was simply to set up and there are many settings to set it to your liking. Perfect system to add to your setup. I set mine on a tv stand temporarily, but can’t wait to put it on the wall with the tv for a prefect look.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I like this soundbar. The audio clarity and depth from movies and streaming content is very good. The connectivity with our Samsung TV and the soundstage feature makes a really nice room filling experience. The size of the soundbar is awesome and with a couple of 3D printed stands, it sits up off of the stand below the TV and looks purposeful. The one negative I have with this device is the built-in Alexa. This was something that made me lean towards this particular model and I have to say, it's less than stellar. The response is slow and it doesn't integrate well with the other Echo devices. For example, I have a group of devices that I like to play music on throughout the house. This device is our main one and I cannot integrate it with the Alexa app into this group. It's also on the older version of Echo's software so it has trouble with some of the automations I have set up for lights and outlets. This isn't a big detraction from how good overall the device is though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I decided to purchase this soundbar to replace an old soundbar that was at least 10 years old. The Samsung S800D is the model that I chose because I felt that it was a more advanced model and figured I should upgrade to the best one. What caught my eye is the slim design and how nice it looks. It has features such as wireless connection, Bluetooth connection, and HDMI connection. So, for Bluetooth, it does not have a delay in connection with my Samsung TV, which was nice coming right out of the box. I also decided to connect it via Wi-Fi, and it worked very well. I knocked it down a star because I noticed that in comparison to both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, I decided to connect it directly via HDMI, and ultimately, the sound was far better than Wireless The base sound was very rich via Bluetooth and drowned the Voice in comparison with HDMI connectivity. That is why I knocked it down a star. Overall, I would recommend this soundbar if you want a richer sound since it is a better experience when watching shows or movies. The price point is a bit high and might sway a person to purchase different brands in comparison to this one.

I was a bit hesitant to add a sound bar to my space at first since I worried that it would look too clunky, but this soundbar is unbelievably slim and sleek, and looks wonderful! It's definitely the smallest soundbar I've owned. But even though the soundbar is slim, it still has amazing audio with booming sound. I also have never used Samsung's Q-Symphony before, but wow was it incredible - the soundbar connects to the TV speakers, playing sound from both to create a very immersive, surround sound experience. I kept switching between the TV speakers only and then Q-Symphony to compare, and it really is no contest - It really kicked the audio up to a whole other level. I also love how easily the soundbar connects to other devices. It has built in Chromecast that I use every single day to play music, and it connects so quickly and effortlessly. It can also connect via wifi and bluetooth, so there are plenty of options to get connected. And the best part - I have a Samsung Frame TV and used to be disappointed that I couldn't play music while having artwork displayed, but this soundbar has been the perfect solution. I can now cast my music to the soundbar and keep my artwork up - it definitely elevates the space!

Its size is just perfect, not too big, not too small, making it ideal for any space. I really enjoyed playing around with different sound modes. The features that I most enjoy are Standard and DTS virtual; the sounds are crystal clear, it makes you feel fully immersed. I found that Surround and Game mode are very similar, in the way the sounds were portrayed. Surround was perfect for an action movie. Having played a few games with the new speaker, I noticed that I was really engulfed in the gameplay. This definitely enhanced the entire experience. I found the voice amplifier to be pretty cool. It absolutely brought out and emphasized the voice from the music. This speaker brings out another element from the voice that would otherwise not be seen or noticed on other speakers. What I love most is how easy it is to use and connect to other devices. It’s nice to have an app to control the speaker and changes its features from your mobile device. Connecting it to our TV was simple and quick. It was just as easy to switch to phones whenever I needed. Overall, if you're looking for a speaker that delivers great sound, is easy to use, and plays well with others, this is definitely worth checking out.

The soundbar is so thin compared to the Older Samsung soundbar I was replacing ,with out the back speakers I was worried that it would be missing a ton of power and sound compared to my old soundbar "wow was I wrong". Once the new soundbar was mounted under my Samsung Frame TV I was amazed on how thin it was on the wall. The soundbar connected to the Samsung smartThings app very easy and just needed a quick update. It also sets itself up with the adaptive sound feature and adapts to your room. Once it was updated, I was connected to the tv I turned on StarWars Asoka and my god the sound from the little soundbar just blew me away, with the dolby atoms. With the Q-Symphony option it uses the speakers on my tv at the same time "I think this is only works with Select Samsung tv's" this help fill the room with even more surround sound. The soundbar came with a micro Hdmi to standard Hdmi cable to attach to your tv so nothing extra to buy " this is a great extra" you can also connect the sound bar via bluetooth or your home wireless. Once it was connected to my Wireless network and SmartThings it seamlessly connected to most of the tech in my home and can easily stream music right to it. It also has Alexa built in just had to connect via the Smarthings app it also works with Google home/Apple airplay and chromecast. When I connected to my X box I used the game mode and the sound it creates in the room is a game changer. In my short time with this soundbar I truly have been amazed by it the most difficult part was mounting the bar on the wall and that only to 25 minutes and I just wanted to make sure it was dead center and even on the wall. But just how easy it was to connect to the tv and my other devices and the crazy amount of base and sound that come out of such a small package still is just amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From a background perspective, I have had at least a half a dozen soundbara over the years. This model, however, is my favorite. Visitors to my house are always perplexed about where the wonderful sound is coming from. Certainly it can't be coming from that slim soundbar, especially the bass. I have the wireless bass hidden under a nearby end table, so it's not easily seen. And since it's wireless, there are no wires giving away its location. You can tweak its sound, which includes amplifying voices, if so desired. And don't let is small form factor deceive you, it can get quite loud. As I said in the beginning of this review, it is easily my favorite soundbar.

Terrific sound from such a small unit. Setup was fast and easy. Crazy how slim this thing is, almost disappears and unnoticeable. Wireless connection with the subwoofer is seamless and simple. Currently using it paired with a frame tv. Very pleased with the system. Cable length for the power cable could have been a bit longer for my particular installation, surprised it was as short as it was. Also odd decision to have the cable connection run outward from the rear side rather than toward the center, meaning you have to curve them around to get them back to the center of the device for routing to tv and power.

This soundbar does not have that problem and has many different settings so you can pick how you want the sound to be from gaming, theater, etc. This Samsung sound bar is also slim which makes it look great with our tv setup. Watching a movie is like being in a theater. We was so happy with this system that we decided to get another one for the bedroom tv, I would highly recommend this Samsung system to anyone who is looking to upgrade there sound system.

Apesar do som ser bom para o tamanho da sounbar, não recomendo a compra deste produto, devido à péssima conexão da sounbar com a rede Wi-Fi. A HW S800D se desconecta do Wi-Fi todo santo dia, mesmo o app Smartthings mostrando que ela está conectada à mesma rede da TV (uma Samsung The Frame 65"). De vez em quando funciona dar um reset na soundbar, mas na grande maioria das vezes não dá certo. No menu da TV é no Smartthings nem aparece a opção de Wi-Fi para a soundbar. No controle remoto da sounbar, quando se muda a conexão para Wi-Fi o som sai pelos alto-falantes da TV. Desanimador e decepcionante...

As a result, it not only looks great just about anywhere, but sounds much much bigger. After adding this device to my SmartThings app, the Soundbar seamlessly/wirelessly connected to my Samsung OLED TV. The sound quality is amazing, with almost any feature you can think of (i.e. Dolby atmos, voice amplifier and enhancement, adaptive sound, etc.). The bass that the subwoofer provides is spectacular. It truly feels like an immersive theatre experience when watching movies and shows. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality soundbar addition to their home.

We chose the Samsung HW-S800D (3.1.2 channel setup) with the goal of high quality theater-like sound in mind. I’m a pretty big fan of Dolby Atmos’ capabilities, so that alone was a big selling point for me. Set up wasn’t too easy or too hard. The instructions could’ve been illustrated a bit better. The subwoofer didn’t automatically pair with the soundbar like the instructions said it would to, and my wife had to do the manual pairing process a few times to get it to stick. It was worth it though (wife agrees) with how nice the 3.1.2ch setup is. Genuinely great quality for the price.

I am glad to say that I was wrong with my first impression. While incredibly thin, this soundbar produced amazing sound and bass with the included subwoofer. Everything from music to movies to TV shows to video games sounds great! Setting it up with the smart things app is very simple and love how the app can provide updates for the soundbar. You can also control the soundbar and change settings in the app which is way easier than using the remote to adjust its settings. Overall this soundbar is incredible and it's all done in an insanely thin design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the look of this product as soon as it came out of the box and was excited to get it set up. It looks quality which is nothing less than I'd expect from the Samsung brand. I got it all set up then was dismayed to find my TV did not have a suitable bluetooth setting and I therefore needed an HDMI lead to connect, which it didn't come with. So had to wait a few days for that to be delivered. Once it was up and running I was immediately impressed by the sound quality from such a slim soundbar. Although it's slim, it is quite long so doesnt fit on top of our unit with the other things we have on it (broadband router, photos, generic satelllite TV box....) so I wall-mounted the soundbar. Whilst slightly tricky to make sure the bracket holes are in the right place and level (there is a template but it was concertina-folded in with the screws so I didn't find it until I'd already made my own!). Brackets allow for thin wires to go behind the soundbar but I have one cable which is slightly too thick, so that's slightly annoying. I've also used the soundbar to play music via bluetooth from my phone, and the sound is equally impressive. I've not noticed much output from the subwoofer, only occasionally, so I'm still testing whether it the location I have it in, or whether it's just the programs we're watching! Overall I'm impressed with the product and would recommend it, I'd just appreciate it coming with a cable to connect to the TV!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sound bar has an excellent design a super thin sleek look that could be mistaken as part of the tv as it blends in so well. The sub is also a very small well designed I love the fact you dont need to directly plug these woofers to the sound bar to match up. I ended up putting this behind our sofa to get that rumble effect like in the theaters and it worked well for that. The stand out feature for this set definitely has to be the slim profile of the sound bar it is able to still recreate DTS and dolby atmos (quite well in fact) for the size of the sound bar. Although with beautiful design comes with sacrifices like a loss in some of the deeper lows associated with thicker bigger bodied sound bars and smaller speaker sizes overall. This presents less than ideal sound quality for some types of music and sounds on the movies but for the sleek look these sacrifices i think are okay. The sound loud enough and very clear in the mids I have no issue hearing vocals and talking on tv shows or movies and it rarely drowns out any sounds. I can definitely hear individual sound tracks clearly which i was very surprised. There does seem to be some digital processing within the soundbars software but it seems to be quite good for watching tv shows and movie so i dont really mind it. We do get to areas where the sacrifices are too great for me in this part of the review. There is no full size hdmi and instead the soundbar outputs from a mini HDMI port with a associated micro usb for "service". both of these ports seem very outdated for 2024 and are in desparate need of an update even with the sleek design i feel this type of IO is not useful for most consumers even if samsung provides a cable for the HDMI port. Another minus is that due to the small size a power block is neeed to fully power the sound bar making it another item most people will need to find a place to hide, and thus diminishes the sleekness of the sound bar.

I have it syned up with my Samsung TV and love it. It was easy to setup, and really makes me enjoy streaming television shows. I use it for video streaming for movies and for video games primarly. I love how it makes it sound 3D and so much better than just having sound from the TV. The subwoofer also works great and you can feel it in your chest when the bass drops! I would also like to mention I love how light the soundbar is, and how little space it takes up! Take a look at the picture - it's a tiny size, but really performs when it comes to the sound quality. I would definitely recommend this soundbar - you can't beat it for the price and for the quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, the "Ultra-Slim Design" truly is ultra-slim. I haven't seen any soundbar this slim, ever. Aesthetically, it's a very nice design and looks really great under my 65" OLED. It's also lightweight. The Subwoofer also has a nice design and is heavy. It fits nicely anywhere you place it and is not ugly where you want to hide it behind furniture. I like how they did not cover the subwoofers with mesh. With it being so slim, and mounted under my TV, I don't get the full effects of Dolby Atmos from the up-firing speakers. This is more of a placement issue on my end, but something to be aware of. Also, the control buttons are on top of the unit as well, so once mounted like I have, it's impossible to access the controls. I would say this design is more for placement on a table/entertainment stand, slightly in front of the TV, or above, which you can use the mounting brackets for or a universal soundbar attachment. Sound-wise, the output is great. It is slightly quieter than my previous soundbar in the mid-range, but that's most likely attributed to how slim the main soundbar is. You would need more surface area on the speakers in order to push this range. That's basic physics. Dolby Atmos works as intended when placed ahead of the TV. The sound modes for SpaceFit, Adaptive, and Game Mode are also nice options. Especially the active voice amplifier, it's nice to be able to hear dialogue at normal volumes. Instead of cranking it up just to hear spoken words, and then being assaulted by sound effects and explosions later. IYKYK. I'm curious to see if Samsung has any add-ons for additional speakers as well. I did sync it to my SmartThings App, but that was only because of my mounting situation. I need to be able to access settings and that was difficult to do with the top mounted controls I mentioned earlier. The app itself had all the options displayed nicely and even had options for updating the software on the Soundbar. They even had more equalizer settings if you truly wanted to adjust. I wish they had more default sound options to choose from though. All in all, this is a great soundbar. It's solid and appears to be well built. It's the best compromise for design and quality among others I've used. It's truly plug and play, and setting up eArc was seamless. I would consider it one of the better home theater options you can get, before diving into separate components.

Firsy Impressions: The soundbar itself was thin and sleek and weightless. Coming from a sound system that had me bogged with wires and multiple speakers I was positive the Samsung soundbar wouldn't deliver half of what I wad used to. Boy was I wrong. The sounbar itself delivered sound quality better than theaters and the subwoofer that pairs with it offered a ground shaking, blow your mind effect that had my jaw unhinged. How could something so small offer such amazing clarity and sound. It took watching shows and movies to a whole new level. Sound: 10 out of 10 superb! Bass: ground breaking. Literally. I live the deep bass tones I got from the subwoofer. The best sound quality in any piece of equipment I've ever had. Setup: this is where things got tricky. I followed the instructions to the tee because that's the kind of person I am. However once it said to pair up with the smart things app it left me hanging from there to figure out how to pair the soundbar to my TV. Personally I am a tech freak and was able to navigate till I found what I needed to pair the two. However it was nowhere near as basic and simple as I was expecting it to be and those who are not entirely tech or audio savvy may find themselves frustrated. Extras: Other neat features were that rhe soundbar can easily pair with Alexa so I could play songs through alexa on it with a sound and bass I had never heard before. Honestly the speaker paired with alexa easier than it did with my Samsung 2024 Frame TV. Overall: personally I love it. The HW-S800D 3.1.2ch Soundbar with Wireless Dolby Atmos delivered a higher quality set than I was even expecting. Sound quality is pin drop stunning, and your ears will be picking up on things you'd never heard before. The subwoofer is phenomenal and once you figure out how to navigate through the settings you'll have a fantastic time figuring out what works best for your room and fine tuning the sound to your liking. I didn't set my soundbar up in the conventional way because I hate wires and this soundbar has them. With my Samsung Frame TV I simply hid the bar underneath the table in which my TV sits allowing it to be almost invisible and wire free. Recommended- absolutley. Even with the small hiccups i had setting and pairing the soundbar up to my TV it was well worth it.

Narrowed it down to a faulty HDMI out on the soundbar. Spoke to Samsung help line and they agreed that the product was faulty. Took it back to "The Good Guys" who exchanged it for a new one, connected it up at home and worked perfectly. Needed a very low soundbar to fit with my decor. Live in a unit so don't need loudness (although it has that) but looking for good sound with a bit of base from the woofer. Excellent product and very happy with the advice from Samsung help line.

The smaller, low profile footprint of the soundbar is great, but I’m unfortunately very underwhelmed by the performance of the product. Based on the product info online and various reviews online, I was expecting “bigger” sound. Especially for the price. A few issues: WiFi connectivity is not great. I can get it to connect, but it won’t stay connected. I want to use the Q Symphony feature, but it won’t stay connected. I’ve switched to Bluetooth. Second, the SOUND: it’s clear, it’s better than the TV, but I was really hoping for fuller, bigger sound - better, punchier bass. I’ve tried adjusting settings but even after doing that, the results are lackluster. The subwoofer is on the smaller side and the drivers on the soundbar are small due to the smaller profile, so I guess I should have known better.

We considered many options including headphones, but none seemed to fit our needs like a soundbar. We chose the Samsung HW-S80D because the reviews on the sound quality were outstanding, the slim design complements our decor, and the value provided by this Samsung device just pushed us to make this purchase. We have been very pleased with our soundbar. With Samsung,s Voice Amplifier feature dialogue is clear and understandable, music is crisp, and the quality is superb. Surprisingly, this relatively small speaker system can easily fill the room with undistorted sound, thanks to the Spacefit Sound feature. I recommend the Samsung HW-S80D to my family and friends, and I highly recommend it to you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having previously owned various soundbars and bookshelf speakers, I can attest to the significant improvement a subwoofer makes. While the included subwoofer is compact, the soundbar itself seamlessly integrates with the TV, virtually disappearing from view. In terms of audio quality, I genuinely believe it rivals my former Sonos Arc and other setups I've experienced. A key advantage for me is that, unlike the Sonos, this soundbar doesn't obstruct the lower edge of the screen. I appreciate products that blend into the environment rather than drawing attention to themselves. I have encountered occasional connectivity hiccups. For instance, when switching from direct Spotify listening to the TV, I sometimes need to power cycle the soundbar via the app to establish a connection, and the same goes for the reverse. I've attempted several resets to no avail, and while it's not a constant problem, it's a peculiar glitch. Nevertheless, given all its positives, I really have no complaints. I highly recommend it.

I have the 2024 75" Frame TV and wanted something with a low profile that could blend in like the TV. This low profile soundbar not only achieves that asthetic goal but also greatly enhances the sound profile when using the TV. It's sound is full and produces a surprisingly surround-esque profile that makes movies and music significantly better. The included subwoofer is equally low profile and adds a great low end without overpowering. As for the connectivity and features, this bar excells there too. It connects seamlessly to the TV with Q-Symphony without any wires and I don't see any desernable lag between the picture and audio. The Q-Symphony feature is also fantastic because I was also able to connect my Frame Speakers to the TV and soundbar to create a truly immersive sound. This also includes Chromecast and Alexa support which gave me even more flexibility to use this and other Frame Speakers in my house for whole home audio setups. I couldn't be happier with this soundbar.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I have to acknowledge is how incredibly thin this soundbar is. After reading the description I knew it would be thin but I still am in awe at how slim it truly is. It fits perfectly in front of my slim TV and doesn't block off any of the picture like normal, thick soundbars would. Now onto the sound. I am still amazed at how such great sound can come out of such a thin soundbar. Dialog is crystal clear, base is incredible with the help of the decently small subwoofer, and background noise blends in well. I'm usually against using settings that auto adjust based on what's being played, but the adaptive sound setting seems to work really well at controlling Dialog and background noise levels depending on what's being watched. Music sounds great also when streaming from my phone. No cut-outs and everything sounds crystal clear. I can't put into words how thin this soundbar is and how crazy it is that it sounds as good as it does with how small it is. I never thought to ever try a Samsung soundbar, but am extremely happy I did.

It took me quite a while to configure and find the optimum settings for both the TV and Soundbar and best location for the subwoofer. Although it's very easy to put together, it does require some reading and experimentation. Once that was achieved, the result was extremely satisfying. The 10 Channels deliver exceptional clarity, multi-directional deep sound and the rich bass I was hoping for. I have the soundbar connected via HMDI (ARC) --the subwoofer is connected wirelessly. Dolby ATMOS and Q Symphony further enhance the experience, the latter utilising the TV's internal speakers as well, as long as the TV is also a relatively recent Samsung model. Best controlled via the Smart Things app which does pick it up as soon as it is on but also via Bixby/Alexa and remote control. Instant connection with Galaxy devices via Bluetooth offers seamless streaming of one's music library for a ground-breaking sound. The soundbar is extremely slim and sleek looking, so it easily fits in front of a TV without obscuring the screen but it's also very long so make sure it fits your particular space arrangements. I'm very pleased, indeed!

My tv is hung from the wall, and this soundbar works perfectly for my situation where I have the soundbar hung under my tv using a soundbar mount that connects to the back of the tv. My only gripe would be when I needed to do a firmware update... Out of the box I was getting hardly any bass from the woofer. I called support and they suggested updating to the latest firmware which did fix the problem, this is something that I thought I had already done through the SmartThings App. However the latest firmware update SmartThings was not recognizing, Samsung sort this out! This also happened on my previous Samsung soundbar. Next problem was this soundbar comes with a USB-A port, who does that! Luckily I still had a usb-a drive lying around in the back of a drawer however then I realized there is absolutely no way that ANY USB drive is going to fit where they have placed this usb port, totally dumb design, I had to purchase a USB extension cable that would connect from my usb drive to the port in the corner of the soundbar. Whoever designed that should be fired, such a dumb design that you cannot directly plug a usb drive to the port because of the corner that it is placed in, and a USB-A port as well.

Purchased less than a year ago. It's on its way to Samsung for repair. It stopped working altogether about a month ago. I have it paired with a Samsung 65 OLED TV for reference. Working with Samsung support; first they had me go through all the troubleshooting steps with no luck. Waited a week for them to send me a new remote (USB-C chargeable, which I have for the TV and I find both are terribly unreliable). Got the new remote...no luck in anything. Today I sent the soundbar, remote and all cords and power supply to them. With any luck, maybe I'll get a working unit back. Terribly disappointed, as I got rid of a spectacular soundbar from another vendor to get one that matched the TV/vendor and is much slimmer in size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sound bar and woofer were surprisingly easy to set up and connect. It is a wireless system so it only has a power cord with each speaker. There is a type-C cord included but we didn't use it. The sound is super clear, I can hear background voices and birds chirping and even wind blowing and the bass has been a game changer. I have the woofer sitting across from my tv because I didn't care for the look of a speaker right next to my fireplace and the sound is still amazing with zero issues, also you can add rear speakers if you needed to expand in the future. There is a setting for every type of program and game, I've only used half of them because I like the way it sounds most of the time. I love the remote, it has settings you can use without having to navigate away from your program and find the audio settings on the tv, and similar to the TV remote, it's rechargeable. The sound bar is so slim you can barely see it, that's the only reason I bought an external sound system. I hated the old style that took up the whole mantel and looked super ugly, this one is white so it blends in beautifully and it's so lightweight I mounted it on the wall with tape. I was certain I would be returning it but I really love it and I'm so glad I purchased this system. It's really made a huge difference in my tv viewing experience.

I connected via eArc HDMI port on my TV and immediately when to watch Vikings on Netflix and was blown away by how immersive it was - it really felt like I was in the cinema! Versus TV audio this is a must but also versus a soundbar without Dolby Atmos or 5.1ch (with additional speakers) it also makes such a difference!

From the initial unboxing the setup was straight forward and intuitive. I was able to quickly place and run cabling for the soundbar. From unboxing to audio test was about 10 minutes. Connecting to a Samsung tv the soundbar was immediately detected which streamlined the process. I even swapped to Bluetooth and back as a test. Our plan was to set the bar on our entertainment center with the tv mounted above. The low profile really makes the aesthetic work, and the included cabling made for a no hassle run that looks clean. The sound is awesome, it's been used for general viewing, movies, gaming, and music. Our house is an open living to kitchen/dining concept and the audio at 50-70% is more than enough for the approximately 500 sq ft. I've played with the setting profiles on the bar along with the Q-symphony, Spacefit, game mode, and adaptive sound and each really bring the sound profiles forward for what they are intended. Adaptive is great at night when others are sleeping, the q-symphony adds a whole different dynamic to the experience, and Spacefit helped overall with the shape of the space we were using it in. I highly recommend this bar for anyone looking to take the plunge into the soundbar world as I now have no intentions of ever going back!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The soundbar is stunningly slim and the wireless functionality makes it incredibly easy to install - simply turning the sub and soundbar on allowed for immediate pairing, and our Samsung TV had zero issues finding and connecting to the setup right away. They operate together seamlessly, and the sound is clear and crisp. The sub is strong, and has a smaller imprint than my last setup, and the bluetooth functionality works quickly with my iPhone when necessary. My only gripes are minor -- when changing the sound settings, I wish the light bars would indicate the level that the setting is at, as opposed to scrolling past the display panel with each adjustment -- it's more difficult to know where in the scale you are operating relative to the min and max's. The woofer is also an exposed panel, which I wish was covered simply for aesthetic purposes. Also unfortunately for apple users, the incorporation of Samsung Smart Things app isn't as compatible or easy to use as I'd like, so I've decided not to utilize any of the features associated with app usage. Overall, our family is thrilled to have a beautiful new soundbar to replace our older one that did not work as seamlessly with our TV. Now that it's all in the Samsung family, it complements each other very well! No wires to run back through the walls, and while we typically preferred HDMI connection, we have found no latency or sound issues with any of the components. Very happy the wire-free option works well.

Our household loves striving to create the best soundscapes and experiences we can, as we digest a LOT of media. We selected the Samsung HW-S800D (3.1.2 channel setup) knowing that this best carries theater-like sound throughout the large room this lives in. What really sold us was the form factor AND usage of Dolby Atmos, which is largely why the 3.1.2 channel setup sounds as good as it does. Setup was NOT as easy as expected (or as the instructions tried to convince us it was). The subwoofer did not automatically pair with the soundbar like the instructions alluded to, and I had to do the manual pairing process thrice to finally get them to pair. I believe the issue was that the soundbar was trying to download/install a software update after I got it set up on my wifi and in my Smart Things app. I say “I believe”, since there was no indication that this software update was being attempted until after each timeI rebooted the soundbar while following the instructions under troubleshooting the subwoofer. I do like that the Smart Things app integration (and wifi integration for that matter) was optional. It added additional steps to my setup since I understand and appreciate the integrations it provides my household, but I love that it was not mandatory for the folks who may not care. Overall, as frustrating as the setup was for a few moments, the sound quality is immaculate and worth the fuss ten times over.

I live in a smaller apartment, and the sound is perfect for my living room. Connected to my Samsung Q90F TV with Q-Symphony, the sound fills the room. Deep bass, and clear highs. Either, music or watching TV, it was the perfect choice. It connected seamlessly with my TV using HDMI/Arc. Playing video games is another plus. I haven't heard my games this clearly using other soundbars. This soundbar was a definite upgrade from my lower tier Samsung sound bar and subwoofer.

We did a lot of research and found the Samsung S-series bar to be what we were looking for. Great sound quality where you can hear every word, even whispers at any volume. But in those movies where there are car crashes or explosions you can feel the vibrations and feel like you are actually there. I am very pleased with my Samsung sound bar. It has brought a whole new enjoyment to our movie watching experience.

I am able to turn off subtitles on my TV and just listen to the dialogue without having subtitles to watch. When I upgraded my TV to a Samsung Frame, I decided to stay with Samsung for the soundbar rather than use my existing soundbar. The wireless feature works flawlessly and it's nice to have fewer wires to worry about and try and hide. The sound of such a low profile exceeds anything that I have used. Installation and setup was easy. I am very happy with this soundbar and my new Frame TV.

My old soundbar bit the bullet so I replaced it with this ultra slim HW-S800D. I needed a slim soundbar to sit below the TV which is wall mounted a little too low and my old soundbar would partially block the lower part of the screen. This ultra slim soundbar is perfect! The sound is crystal clear, the bass is deep and powerful. While I was at it, I upgraded my TV to a QN90D. These two work in perfect "Symphony", i.e. Q-Symphony mode. Very spacial sound. I highly recommend the HW-S800D, especially when paired with a new Samsung Neo QLED TV!

It is very thin and discreet in size that it doesn't give away my 65" "Painting" as a TV. The installation is flawless. I use the TV+Soundbar settings (Q-Symphony) and Adaptive sound. It was a total game changer. I experimented with Twisters, Top Gun Maverick movies to test the Dolby Atmos. Its was GOOD. The small subwoofer shows its weakness in a big room. But what can you expect from a 9" woofer. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

The system was well packaged in the box, and was easy to unpack. Configuation was easy and the SmartThings App offers great ability to customise the settings of the system. My only complaint is that it didnt come with a Micro HDMI Cable, however, I did have one already for another device so had to rob that for a while!

I do praise Samsung for the woofer that the Slim Soundbar comes with, it really impacts movies with a BANG! For living in a town home area the Samsung Slim really fills up the room with its up firing speakers! If your wanting to get this soundbar, the Q-symphony experience also adds an amazing taste. It looks aesthetically pleasing in a medium sized living room!
