Entry Rules

Eligibility and Categories

  • The competition has Primary, Secondary and Tertiary categories and welcomes students from locally registered schools and tertiary institutions in Hong Kong.
  • Teams must have 2 to 5 students. Primary and Secondary members must attend the same school; Tertiary members must attend the same institution.
  • Primary and Secondary teams must appoint a teacher as the main contact for registration, submissions and event updates. Tertiary teams may register directly.

Submission Requirements

All entries must follow the competition theme and be submitted through the designated platform by the deadline. Late or incomplete entries may not be considered.

  • Stage 1 - Concept Submission: Simply write a "Concept Proposal" and submit it by email as a PDF. The content should clearly define the target community, the observed social pain point, the chosen challenge theme, the initial solution approach, and the intended AI application. No physical prototype is required at this stage.
  • Stage 2 - Shortlisted & Prototype Development: After the workshops, the 36 shortlisted teams submit an updated proposal (PPT converted to PDF), prototype photos or supporting materials, and a 3-minute introduction video.
  • Stage 3 - Final Showcase & Grand Pitch: The 18 winning teams will bring prototypes to a Final Showcase. The 9 finalists must deliver a live pitch and face a situational challenge from the judges.
