Galaxy Tab S9 I Tab S9+ I Tab S9 Ultra

First off , I am a Samsung fan with phone, TV, tablet rtc all being Samsung. The sound and display quality on this S9 + are typically superb BUT I must say the battery performace is very disappointing ( and yes I have all the save and protect features turned on).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've previously owned all iterations of the S8 series tablets from Samsung, so knew that for me the sweetspot was the + variant in terms of screen size and portability. So when the new S9 range became available I knew exactly which version I needed in my life. The S9+ is a real improvement on the S8+, the screen seems clearer, sounds is more basy and the thing just flies with all applications. I've even found that the included S-Pen even attached more firmly, which was sometimes a weak point on the S8+. The tablet feels like a quality piece of hardware, with the fit and finish being perfect. All this needs is a keyboard case and you have a ready made laptop replacement. Battery life has been excellent so far, only needing a charge every few days even with prolonged use. I can highly recommend the S9+, when compared to the smaller S9 it has the bigger and better AMOLED screen and the in screen fingerprint sensor. When compared with the bigger S9 Ultra, the S9+ loses nothing in terms of spec. In my opinion it is just a more portable and manageable size.

Great device, excellent screen & speakers for viewing film and listening to music, very happy with it. Only gripe, face unlock can be a bit hit and miss. Though that could be me!

It's ok. A bit awkward to use and slow, but ok. Only really useful for people what want to jot things down with a pen or watch TV. Very expensive though.

Excellent device. Screen is very high quality and the sound it surprisingly good for the size. Its very quick and responsive. Impressed with it.

Having all my rech supplied by Samsung. I can honestly say that the S9÷ is definitely a great piece of tech .

Extremely versatile. I love classic dex and I love the overall experience I have been having with OneUI.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as the delivery arrived I could tell that it would be an improvement on the competitor tablet that I was using, predominantly for work. It is lightweight! For a 12.4 inch tablet it is so light and easy to handle. Straight out of the box it powered up with a simple push of a button and immediately showed off its Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen. As a Samsung user I found it so easy to set up and link to my other devices - phone, earbuds and watch. As soon as my daughter heard the start up ping, she was straight over and shouting for her cartoons. Netflix installed and logged on in seconds, Paddington streaming and Daddy's playtime with his new toy over! Day 1 of actually getting to play properly now all the fun Office apps have been installed. So intuitive and easy to use for work. Using the pen to mark up documents and make notes is so simple with the inbuilt apps and Onenote. One amazing trick I have learnt.... the tablet can be used as a second screen for my windows laptop!! I had been umming and ahhing about buying a second screen in my cramped home office - the Samsung tablet has removed the need to do this. I can use it as a screen extension when handling multiple documents and spreadsheets. More reviews to follow, especially as I am away for two weeks and the tablet will be used for work, entertainment and hobbies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an amazing Tablet the S9+ is! My previous Tablet was a Galaxy Tab S2 so I was well overdue an upgrade and this certainly doesn't disappoint. On unboxing the Tablet I was immediately impressed with how thin and light it was considering its size. Build quality feels exceptional although I always think a device like this should come with a screen protector and basic case to protect your investment in case of any mishaps! I had a little trouble transferring some data and settings from another device but once I'd update the tablet and got the Smart Switch app everything got sorted. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of wireless data transfer with all my pictures and videos transferred in what seemed like seconds rather than minutes. I love the S Pen for writing quick notes and accurate selections on screen. I tried it with a room design app and it made things so much easier than using finger. Everything I've tried using the tablet for had run super smoothly with no lag or delays. This is a breath of fresh air compared to the traditional laptop I usually use for Web browsing etc. And now on to the best pert, the screen! Watching films and programmes is incredible. The screen is extremely vivid and vibrant whilst also having excellent blacks. It makes me want to use the tablet rather than my TV! Sound quality is also brilliant for such a small and thin device. I'm thorough impressed with Samsung's latest offering and wish I'd made the jump to a newer model sooner. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just managed to have a real good play with the S9+ and it’s fantastic. I was initially a little worried by the size, but it’s so light despite the screen being enormous (12.4”). It’s basically the same weight as my old 10” with the case and it’s well balanced, so extended use with one hand is not an issue either. I also can’t believe how much it can do. The multitasking is smooth even with loads of apps open, DeX (for use like a laptop with external mouse and keyboard) and even the ability to use it as an external screen for the PC (even wirelessly!!) are all easy to access and most importantly, actually work well. I got the 5G variant and with its enormous battery, it could even act as the family router when travelling, where I previously had to use a dedicated device. The ability to replace my laptop for leisure travel, where I previously had to take one with me, as well as the 3 year warranty, 5 years of updates, included stylus, and even a free 12 months of Disney plus really help to justify the price, which let’s be honest, is not cheap, but easily justified given what is included. The 120Hz screen and improved S-Pen mean that lag when writing is completely imperceptible and scrolling, games, movies are all silky smooth and look gorgeous on the AMOLED screen. With the adaptive refresh rate, it’ll easily last a whole day on a single charge too. Haptic feedback is also great to have (my previous one didn’t), so I immediately noticed it. It’s nice and strong too. Construction is solid and feels great in the hand. It’s apparently waterproof too, which is added peace of mind. Overall, a fantastic device that’ll last me while!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive this as I have a tablet by the same brand and it has lasted over 7 years and has never missed a beat, so the expectation on this one was huge to say the least. No pressure son! It arrived around lunch time (and I bought the optional extra slim keyboard to make it easier) and it certainly didn't disappoint. To start with, the box was very thin so you knew the device would be as well! It comes with the S Pen and charging cable, plus the SIM removal tool if you opted for the cellular option. It was easy to set up, it was charged to around 60% so I can turn it on and start the process. Sign into my Google account, sign into my Samsung account, restore from the backup I had created earlier (from my old device) and within maybe 30 mins, it was good to go! I used it for work all afternoon, and sent emails, used the web, joined a few Teams meetings (a couple of people said the camera quality was exceptional) so its for work purposes for sure! It is light enough that it can fit in my laptop bag and once my 5G SIM card arrives tomorrow, I'll be able to work from wherever I ger WiFi or 4G/5G. Next, I plan to stream some programmes and I think based on the size of the screen (12.4") and the quality of the pictures, it will be a decent experience. The S Pen really compliments and proves that its in the zone and really means business. It has the usual features you would expect from a device of this price. Now, I'd normally right something negative so show its not all bright lights and big hair, but I genuinely can't think of any downsides to this as of yet. It's a class device comfortably at home either working or for leisure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as the S9+ arrived I was amazed at how light it was. I have last year's S8 and this model is only marginally heavier given the size difference! The screen really comes to life and you can especially notice the difference that the Dynamic Amoled HDR10+ screen makes compared to the older TFT10 LCD when watching content that has darker scenes! In terms of intial setup this was a breeze! A simple QR code scan from my existing galaxy device and all my accounts and data were copied over within minutes. I popped a 5g SIM in, that got recognised automatically and after as quick reboot I receive fairly decent download/upload speeds (albeit these are more reliant on the carrier and not the tablet itself). Performance is extremely snappy, and I love love love the fact that Samsung allows you to remove whatever apps you don't want/ or need! That being said bloatware was very minimal, and I only removed a couple of preinstalled apps that I dont have any use for. OneUI 5.1 was preinstalled, but I got a couple of small updates that brought it up to date. These were very quick to apply and I've not had any app glitches/or os crashes. It seems very stable to me out of the box. The cameras on the device are very good, certainly a lot better than any other tablets I've used over the years. I can certainly see myself using this for video calls with family, and potentially work meetings when I'm travelling. Battery life is still something I'm testing and will become more apparent with continued usage but so far it's been exceptional. I received it with roughly 67% charge, and I watched over 1 hour of video content on Netflix and literally lost maybe 2-3% whilst using Bluetooth headphones. The stereo speakers are very good! You can achieve decent levels of loudness that is more than enough to cater for a fairly large living room without distortion and decent bass! Clearly not a replacement for a proper sound system but much better than many mobile Bluetooth speakers and existing tablets. One thing I'm having to adjust to now is having an indisplay fingerprint reader rather than having one built into the power button like on my previous tab S8. It's not of major concern as setup and recognition of the fingerprint is fast. I've not had any instances where it hasn't recognised my fingerprint yet in both daylight and lowlight. In conclusion I'm really happy with my purchase decision and look forward to using this tablet going forward!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm absolutely thrilled with my new Galaxy Tab S9+! As an owner and user of many Samsung devices, I'm generally a fan of what they offer but this Tab S9+ has given me a few pleasant surprises that will ensure it remains one of my main day to day devices. The AMOLED screen is absolutely gorgeous - crisp and bright, it's perfect for streaming shows & movies or just looking at your own photos on a bigger screen. Size for me is perfect - just inside the goldilocks zone of not too big and not too small. The other models (Tab S9 & Tab S9 Ultra) are almost identical on the inside but with different sized displays so that's more of a personal preference. I've always been a fan of optional MicroSD storage, which the Tab s9+ offers - however with 512GB of internal storage it really doesn't feel like I need it. I can load this thing up with Movies & TV for when I'm on the go, and the 5G capabilities mean that I'm not tethered to a wifi point to make the most of the tablet. The device itself is so thin and light. The S pen is pretty cool, but not something I would personally use on a day to day basis. Now, some of the unexpected things I'm loving about the tablet. I'm able to use it as a second screen with my laptop, which is something that I have wanted to do with my tablet for aaages. In the past this involved installing 3rd party software or using hardware adapters (also with 3rd party software!) but now it's baked in to the OS and recognised natively on Windows. I usually work in a multi-monitor environment, so this is invaluable for working away from the office. I'm not usually impressed by the battery life of tablets I've owned in the past (including Samsung's own), but this thing easily lasts me all day - which is a nice surprise. I find myself charging it every couple of days (or just topping it up) with some medium use throughout the day, music playing for longer periods and plenty of standby. The in-screen fingerprint reader is really handy for unlocking the device (text input can be a bit of a pain depending on how you’re using/holding it) and it's great to see this included. All of this, however, comes at a hefty price tag - this is not an inexpensive purchase! There are many other (cheaper) options on the market. However, none of these come even close to what Samsung have are offering in terms of top of the line software and hardware in the Galaxy Tab S9+. Having made that jump, I can happily say I'm entirely satisfied with my purchase.
