How do I move music, images, videos and other media to the SD card in my Galaxy device?

My Files app

Most Galaxy smartphones give you the option to use an SD card as additional storage. This is an easy and affordable way of increasing the storage capacity of your smartphone, allowing you to carry more of your important music, images and videos in your pocket.

By default, your files will be saved to the internal storage of your device but you can easily move them onto your SD card. Photos and videos can be set to save automatically to your SD card but other file types have to be moved manually. Find out more about setting the default storage for photos and videos as the SD card.

Please note: the steps to move files to your SD card are different depending on your device and operating system. Follow the steps that look like your device
