How do I turn international data roaming on or off on my Samsung Galaxy device?

Data roaming is when your phone uses a mobile network that is not owned by your provider to send and receive data. A common example of when this happens is when you are abroad. Your provider may charge you extra for data roaming.

Please note: It is possible that your device will use data roaming in your home country; however, this is rare.

Turning data roaming on or off

1 Swipe up on the home screen to access your apps.
2 Tap “Settings”.
Tap to enter Settings menu
3 Tap “Connections”.
Tap to enter Connections menu
4 Tap “Mobile Networks”.
Tap to enter Mobile Networks menu
5 Tap the switch to turn “Data Roaming” on or off.

Please note: If Mobile Data is switched off, the Data Roaming switch will be greyed out as your device will not be using mobile data.
