What is Quick Connect and how do I use it?

Please note: Quick Connect is not available on newer devices running Nougat and above. If you are looking for support on screen mirroring using Quick Connect on a newer model, we recommend using Smart View instead. You can find Smart View by pulling down the notifications panel and tapping the Smart View icon.

Quick Connect

The Quick Connect feature on Samsung smartphones and tablets running Android Marshmallow and below allows you to easily search and connect using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to find other mobile devices, smart TVs and or streaming devices such as Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV stick.

You can use Quick Connect to share content such as images, videos, and audio.

If you are connecting to a TV, it needs to be capable of supporting Wi-Fi connections, and will need to have this enabled in order for Quick Connect to detect it. Click here for steps on preparing your Smart TV for mirroring. If you are attempting to connect to a non-Samsung TV, please refer to the manual or manufacturer's website to determine how to prepare that device for connection.

Please note that the screens below are illustrative. They may appear slightly different depending on your device, operating system or theme.

To connect to Quick Connect:

1 From any screen, slide your finger down from the top of the screen to pull down the notification bar.

On newer models and operating systems, you may need to slide your finger down twice to see the full details of the notification bar.
