I put my dirty clothes in and they come out clean. It uses some water and some electricity, and if you connect the phone software to it, it'll even tell you how much water and electricity it's used. It's quiet and it plays an irritating tune when it finishes a wash cycle. The buttons and display are good. It looks like it would fit in with a modern house, but my house is very old so it looks somewhat anachronistic, however that isn't a problem for me because I don't sit looking at the washing machine all day. Attached for your viewing pleasure is the optional infurating jingle the washing machine plays, which can be heard all over the house. Why someone at Samsung thought this was a good idea, I am not sure, but there we go.

Never known a electrical item play tunes when it has finished a cycle!! Well this washing machine does. Very novel idea. Only real downside, which knocked down to a 4 score, is the silly way it is set up to do delayed starts. Previously with our last washer you would work out how many hours it was before you wanted it to come on and do the wash. Unfortunately with this one you have be a mathematician. You have to add the cycle time on to the time when you want it to start?! In other words you have to work when it will finish and not when you want it to start. Ridiculous idea. Other than that great washing machine with no issues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this as a replacement for a broken machine and didn't realise how noisy the old one was until this one came. Good choice of washes and like the fact the app can tell you how much your chosen wash costs and how much water it uses. So far been much more economical that the older, I paid a little more than others I was looking at but with the 5 years parts and labour warranty worked out cheaper than taking out a 3 year extended warranty with other makes. I couldn't find a spin only option but with a quick google search found that if you power on and hold the spin icon down a few seconds you can and choose at what speed too. So far been a good all round washing machine for a busy family of laundry.

My last Samsung washing machine, 8kg, was purchased on 05/04/2012 and today, 12/09/2025 I purchased a new washing machine, 9kg. New technology in the types of washes and a ‘Clean the Drum’ feature which will be invaluable. I can even link it to my phone to set my washes on! Eager to get myself onto this feature. Short wash of 15 minutes, even shorter than my 8kg model which was about 29 minutes. All this will certainly help with the electricity usage. A ‘bubbles’ wash will certainly add to the performance of this great machine. My daughter has already purchased a Samsung washing machine. Samsung, to me is quality, reliability, new innovations and a great price. What more can a ‘gal’ want in a washing machine.

Our 3rd Samsung washer. First 2 great this one has been updated and more ECO friendly and it has NOT IMPROVED.it We have allergy problems and need extra rinse only cycle to ensure all the soap is out but cannot find one. The previous 2 washers had that facility but not this one. The display is very dim and harder to see.. MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER WARRANTY or you will have same problem we had with our second machine.and even though AO proved the date we bought it was inside the warranty period Samsung stated that I had not registered it and was not covered.

One of the most annoying washing machines I've ever purchased! The touch screen panel, and the child lock features are pointless when they can simply press the off button.. or if you accidentally lean on it with your clothes it turns off! Poor design! Other machines I've had it starts right where it stopped but no, not this one.. you'll be half way, drum full and it's lent on and it turns off.. y9u then have to drain and use the DOWNLOADED spin cycle just to restart again! If I could i'd throw it out the window! And not to mention the socks that gather at the front, get a sock bag if you buy this! They come out dripping wet and often still with detergent on them from being at the door during the cycle! Poor design and wastes water!!

It is a quiet, energy efficient and very effective washer. It has a wide range of programmes shouhld you choose to use them but we've found, that for the 2 of us, the Mixed Load is perfectly adequate - and do remember you can alter the water temperature and spin speed if required. We tend to lower the water temp. from the default 40' setting to 30' - the load of clothes & bedding perfectly cleaned. The only problem is finding the serial number - it wasn't on the door or door surround so we entered the lower number on a QI sticker, near the door.

Our washing machine had been on its way out for a long time and finally gave up hope. We have open plan living so I was keen to get a quieter machine that can handle the day to day life loads (baby, outdoorsy husband and two dogs). This machine has been absolutely incredible and we could not be happier with it. It's spin cycle is quiet, it's features are exactly what we need and the eco bubble feature is brilliant! For the price and next-day delivery, this washing machine is an absolute steal! I'd recommend it to anyone who isn’t too picky. It’s got a lovely design, and the controls are super easy to use. The installation? A breeze – swapped out the old one in about 5 minutes flat. At 1400rpm, it's whisper-quiet – though the water pump does have a bit of a grumble. But honestly, the washing results are fab. The only downside is that some of the smaller bits occasionally get stuck under the glass – poor things don’t get a proper wash!

I've only just started using my machine and I love it. Lots of good cycles to use PLUS the fact I can use the smart technology to dowload and use the SPIN only option as there is only rinse and spin. It is extremely quiet and plays a lovely little tune to tell you when it's done, also on the app you can see the progress of the cycle. I've yet to use the bubble wash feature but am excited to try it soon. easy to install, easy to use , I have downloaded the user manual which helps a lot to see the functions on the control panel.

First delivery of this washing machine arrived with dent in metalwork at the back. They could put some protective packing around this area. Machine is a lot quieter than my previous Samsung. Seems good so far, hopefully will last as long as the old one (which development a PCB fault after nearly 10 years) Not sure I will use the WiFi function, as it looks like you need to have the Samsung app and account to do so. This machine has touch sensitive buttons, hopefully these will be durable and last a long time.

At first, I was very pleased with this washing machine. It performed well, was easy to use, and handled loads efficiently. However, after just one month of use, it developed a fault where it stopped spinning. This was frustrating, but after some troubleshooting, the issue was resolved through analysis and recalibration. Unfortunately, not long after fixing that problem, water began leaking from underneath the machine. This has become a significant concern, as it not only affects the washing process but also risks damaging my flooring. Given these recurring issues so early in its lifespan, I’m quite disappointed. I expected better reliability and durability. I will now have to explore repair options again, but I wouldn’t recommend this machine unless these faults are addressed.

This is an eerily quiet machine! I replaced my old Samsung washer (much loved) with this one and I'm impressed, the only noise it makes when it's washing is the sound of the clothes and water on the door. It has a much shorter cotton wash then my last model and the clothes are coming out nice and clean. Happy there's still a tune when the wash ends and it now also lets me know the wash has finished on my phone. It's a large capacity, it looks nice and hopefully we'll save some money with the A rating.

Included documentation is not comprehensive enough e.g. it does not say what the symbols on screen represent or what cycle setting buttons do. Serial number is needed for registering guarantee but it is on rear of machine. Not good if technician has installed machine and left. Especially if you have broken your hip. But wait it's a smart device. I'll ask Samsung help. No matches to my query. The number is in the app. Download app. Register. Add machine. Tap on washer. Then tap three doors on top right of screen. Then tap on information and it's there. Clear as mud? And finally this review form asks did I receive an incentive. I did not but the drop down menu only had one choice "yes". Overall actual machine is great but the app and documentation needed serious work.

Generally a good washer that does everything you would want most likely. The "Eco 40-60" cycle is a bit weird and non-intuitive: it is intended for washing anything that you would usually wash at 40 or 60 but actually washes it at 28 degrees. Not really a problem and good for the environment which is a bonus, but I would prefer to know what temperature I am washing at when I choose my cycle. (This is an EU directive I believe so not completely Samsung's fault) Hardly a big issue really.

Replaced an old german model washer with this A-Rated new 5 Series Samsung. One week in and several washes completed and I'm really happy with the performance, efficiency and features. Wifi control and alerts to let me know when the washing is done.Our smart meter no longer breaks a sweat when this new washer is running in Eco mode and there are plenty of other wash settings for different loads and fabrics. The 9Kg drum is plenty big enough for us, (4 adults). All told, its a great machine.

It’s a smart machine and its efficiency is rated good and as excellent capacity. With low running noise. It’s early days with this machine but I would make the following observationsI. 1) Installtion. I am not a novice at this and in any case all the plumbing was already there. The removeal of the transit bolts was not easy with the tool provided but I had other meatier options. However, it wasn’t immediately clear if it was just the bolt that should be removed or the rubber& plastic items as well. This was because the first 2 I tried were difficult to release but the 3 can away as one piece. One of them was exrememely difficult to remove. 2) our limited use of the machine suggests it works well but I would have preferred more explanation on programme times in the booklet. And if it’s possible to get a simple spin only cycle.

The washing machine itself is fantastic and I’m really happy I made the purchase. However, it isn’t entirely user friendly. The guides that come with it don’t fully explain the functions - there is no stand alone spin cycle and I had to visit a few forums to work out how to activate. This could be explained/included in the user manual, which I don’t find to be particularly helpful compared to others. Especially as this is my first ‘smart’ washing machine.

I absolutely love using my new Series 5 AI Energy washing machine. From loading to settings this machine has my needs covered with all its features. My washing cycles have been greatly reduced without any detriment to how clean my laundry is. From heavily soiled sports kits to delicate garments this machine has out performed my previous washer. Heavier loads such as duvets, towels and bedding have also benefited - I can’t recommend this enough!

For an elderly technophobe online app and warranty registration is far too tedious and demanding of data. Being compelled to submit a review in order to gain additional three years warranty is not appreciated. The machine should have come with a "book of words" explaining functions and meaning of all the symbols, including bubbles. Fortunately the appliance will function with manual programming - no need for "Smart" operation, except for nerds.

We bought this to replace a 12 year old workhorse. I have only used it a couple of times so far however I like the features and flexibility of the settings, also the online manual gives indicative information as to energy efficiency. The wireless connection means I can monitor energy use which is great for experimenting and I'm hoping that we can be more energy efficient. The extended 5 year warranty is a plus. Great all round so far.

I replaced a 20 year old bosch washer that you turned a dial then pressed a proper button to start . this one you have to mess about , display is poor , the start button is hard to see and the machine makes a silly tune when wash finishes and flashing lights when it is washing . manual is all about installation and fault finding and not about operating washer. don't know if other washers are better but I prefer my old one

It says 9kg on the product but the drum is smaller than my older model, which was an 8kg model. My older model had a spin and hand wash option, which this model sadly does not have. Also, the program buttons are more complicated than the older model and the length of the programs are much longer. It could have had some shorter cycles. The only positive thing is the spin which does not make noise while spinning.

Love that I can put my washing on from my phone, my phone will also tell me when my washing is finished if I’m out. Also great for people new to washing as it will tell you what sort of wash setting your clothes/towels/bedding needs! Handy one for my boyfriend! This is a great piece of kit which allows you to tailor each wash to your specific needs, cleans items on a cooler or fast wash and is easy to use! The washer is easy to use if you’ve had a Samsung washer before if you haven’t then it can be abit fiddly. Ol thing is to register for the 5 years warranty it doesn’t tell you how to do it and on Samsung online only gives yut 2 years warranty you have to google how to get the 5 years warranty online. I only now no how to do it as I have got stung by Samsung before with a tumble dryer

Easy to understand the controls and with a great 9kg capacity which dwarfed our old machines. Nicely designed so looks at home where it's situated. So quiet that we had to check it was actually starting the wash and the spin noise was minimal too. With renowned Samsung reliability, this should give us many years of service and the 5 year warranty was a bonus. Highly recommended.

I have only had this a few days and I am still trying to figure it out. A small booklet was supplied that explains the settings on the dial however, there is nothing to explain the control panel or features of the machine itself. I wasted a lot of time online trying to look up this information. Who supplies a washing machine without a user manual? I still haven't worked it out.

What a machine! Increased drum size so you can fit more washing into a single load, the spin rate is unbelievable so the washing is already fairly dry when the cycle is finished and not the mention the noise (or should i say lack of noise!) - we only realize the machine is done when the catchy song plays when the cycle is finished. Fully recommended, what a purchase

Absolutely love this washing machine - it's so quiet you can barely notice it's on - thank goodness there's an app for that you can load the washing, switch on the programme when you leave work and washing will be ready for when you get back and it'll notify you too washing is also great, large drum, no need to spin after (like with my old washing machine)

Our previous Samsung washing machine lasted 7 or 8 years with no issues so didn't hesitate to buy another. Got a great black Friday deal which meant it was significantly cheaper too. Once again feels quality, very quiet and simple to use, only issue is it doesn't seem to spin dry the clothes as well as our previous machine even though the spin speed is the same.

Noise level isn't as quiet as I'd hoped from reading other reviews. Maybe that's because I live in a first floor flat so it's not on a hard ground floor? I definitely couldn't do washing overnight.Just a few queries...... The spin speed is only 800 on the quick wash and clothes don't feel dry enough. Is there any way to change the speed to spin faster?? Or is there an option to just spin clothes instead of rinse and spin? Last gripe, I replaced my old machine as clothes had begun to lose the nice just washed smells despite using detergent, unstoppables and fabric softener. I had hoped my washing would come out smelling lovely again as it used to, with this new machine, but alas they don't? I have tried various wash cycles but none of them have left us with our clothes smelling great again as they did before. Do you have any ideas why this is???

Bought to replace a similar model which was 10 years old and the motor had failed. Unfortunately, this was 2 weeks after the 10yr warranty on the motor expired so I'm hoping that this one with 20yr warranty will have a much long lifespan! Good size capacity drum and quiet to run. Different programmes and energy effficient which is important to me.

Great machine, but the manual they supply doesn't give you even half the info you need - download the full manual. And the serial number for your extended warranty is under the QR code on the sticker on the front - except it's not named Serial Number and they don't tell you online where to find it. And you don't need the App to use the machine.

Washes well, and is quiet but has a design flaw. Washing a load with small items such as socks and thongs, especially sneaker socks, the socks/thongs get lodged on the seal next to the door, don't move and end up not being washed. A solution might be to put them in a laundry bag but shouldn't be necessary with a machine of this quality.

Too early to tell but of the first weeks washing clothes feel fresher. Wifi an advantage in programming but having to push delay button for quite a long time to register is a bit of a pain compared to our old ISE delay button. Would be nice to know how much power it uses each wash through Smart Things app like Fridge Freezer does

I used my Samsung machine for the first time yesterday, so far so good. It was simple to set up. The display is clear and the dials make it easy to understand the purpose of different settings. The little song it plays when switched on is a charming and useful feature (I was impressed that for people who may not be able to see the display, the sounds vary.) Mostly, I was amazed by how quiet it washes. I used the eco setting and don't know about the other settings are yet, but wow! Working from home, we could only do laundry at weekends (our last machine was so loud) but the Samsung changes things. I'm looking forward to being able to do laundry whenever I want and hang it on the line when the weather allows. The only disappointment we've had is we aren't able to use the smart things app as it's incompatible with the browser on our android phones. Other than that, I'm loving this washing machine. My husband says it's so quiet he could fall asleep to it!

The Washing Machine is let down by Samsung not providing pictures with operation instructions on what is happening on the touch screen. My wife is 89 years old. Also there is absolutely NO indication of spin speed when on a wash cycle, on the entire large display screen. However the induction motor is very quiet indeed

Good size, many programs to choose from. Easy to use. We went from one Samsung washing machine to this one so most of the functions were similar, if not better. This machine replaced my previous Samsung with which I was very happy. Unfortunately this machine does not have a spin cycle only a rinse and spin. In order to protect the environment I would washing for example 40c wash with different spin speeds at 800 then spin the cottons without having to rinse them again.

Ordered this samsung washing machine. But the cold water feed pipe was leaking when atattached. Realised next day . Woke up to massive pussdle. Massive samsung supporter. But makes me question if it is worth ever going with a samsung again. Was gonna get a matching fridge freezer. But I think I will leave it.

My new Samsung washing machine arrived this morning. It's a replacement for the previous Samsung that we had for nearly 9 years. Machine is now on the 2nd load and working well. Will take a bit of getting used to the new controls but works perfectly. Also got a five year warranty [online] so that was a bonus

Really helpful that it has an app, can control the wash on my phone. Easy to register device, extended 5 year warranty included. Quiet machine, even with a large load. Lots of helpful features. Displays the time each wash will take, at which temperature and spin rate. Good size machine. Easy to use.

This is the second Samsung washing machine I've bought and again happy with my purchase. Easy to operate and machine is quiet on the spin and has a useful sound when finished the cycle. Only negative is that I preferred the previous machine all white front rather than the black trim around the window.

Early Days but all seems good. Only one slight observation, machine is a 9kg machine . Only a few programmes actually recommend 9k . Some as low as 2kgof washing. This may be the same in other machines/brands so do your research better than I did. Overall though a good value machine . Very Quiet

The quietest machine I've owned. Helpful that there's the digital display to give you an accurate time to how long the cycle will take instead of guessing as I had to do with previous machines from other manufacturers. Also helpful that once the cycle is finished, the machine switches itself off.

So far so good. I found the serial number hard to locate. It is under the QR code, which is on the front of the machine. You can customise the temperature of washes, which I found out about after I put my favourite scarf on a cold wash to find it had shrunk. Otherwise, it is a good solid machine.

We purchased this maching to replace a verually identiacal machine which was over 10 years old and had been fault free. Damaged the seal and surround by accidentally leaving some wood screws in a pocket. Iexpect it would have had another few years fault free so we had to replace like for like.

Purchased this to replace BEKO which had broken down after only 15 months. I like the app control, it's very quiet compared with my last machine and gets clothes very dry when spinning. All in all pretty good but there are a couple of app features which I can't work out how to use, hence 4 *

You can’t do a spin only, it doesn’t go back to the last program (which my old Samsung did both) so you have to reprogram every time you use it which is a pain, when you change the temperature, rinse, spin speed the display is very faint not very good for people with poor eye sight

My Indesit machine died after 8 years drum bearings went, my sister has a dearer version of this model and it's so quiet so is this one, it's A rated and you can connect it to your phone to start a loaded wash or check how long is left, also has a drum wash program :-)

Bought an eco bubble 8kg over 10 years ago. Eventually the motor bearing had gone. Plus I think the card was going too. Decided on another samsung. This updated version is better than the old one by a mile. Plus motor parts are guaranteed for 20 years even better.

Cracking washing machine. It washes and sings a song when it’s finished. The happiest washing machine alive. I’ve no idea why I want it connected to Wi-Fi, maybe I can share to the socials when I’m doing ma whites. But it does what is supposed to too, with joy.

I have only had it for two days. So far so good. But I had to get someone to pull the machine out, which was too heavy for me to move, to see the serial number on the rear so I could register it to obtain the 5-year warranty. The label on the front was missing.

Series 5 seems to be the current entry level of the washing machine range but this feels anything but entry level. Modern design and technology, quiet direct drive motor, lots of washing modes and easy to use. A great upgrade to our previous machine!

Had other samsung products and have been great, this appears OK. But had trouble finding the serial number, which isn't on the door but on the back, also its leaking from the door after having it for less than a week. Not what I expected from samsung.

Don't need to wash every day now I have a machine with a 9kg capacity. Replaced 7kg. Also very quiet compared to previous Samsung. Very happy with purchase 2 weeks in. Like the selection of washes, we often use Mixed Load which is only 66 minutes.

Clothes do not smell fresh like fabric conditioner after being washed. I have tried different settings and had an engineer our but they still don't smell fresh. Don't waste your money on this washing machine if you like fresh smelling clothes.
