Ad-hoc connection is connecting two or more devices without any access point or router in the vicinity, Also called as Peer to peer connection as all the users need to be within a defined and small area and all of them needs to use the same kind of mode,in this case - Ad-hoc. To connect by Ad-hoc, one should always use the same SSID and needs to connect through the same channel. The primary requirement for creating a Ad-hoc is presence of Wireless LAN( wifi )in your device. Few advantages of this kind of network is , It is quick to connect and Cost effectiveness.
