What is a Lock Screen in Samsung Smart Phones?

Lock Screen is a feature in Smartphones developed to protect the privacy of a user. It gives an option of unlocking the screen of your phone for more efficient and restricted use. The Lock Screen appears when you press (don't hold) the power button on your Samsung handset, as shown below.
