How to listen to music using Spotify Tap in your Samsung Music Studio
The Spotify Tap feature, introduced for the first time in the Wi-Fi speaker industry, allows users to start music playback instantly by pressing the Spotify Tap button, without using a mobile device. This guide covers how to set up and use the Spotify Tap feature on your WiFi Speaker.
Supported models
Spotify Tap is supported on the following models:
- WiFi Speaker (HW-LS70H/LS71H, HW-LS50H/LS51H)
Setting up Spotify Tap
You can configure the Wi-Fi speaker to connect directly to the Spotify app or other music service apps.
Before you start
- The Spotify app must be installed on your mobile device.
- You must be logged in to your Spotify account.
- The WiFi Speaker must be registered in the Samsung Sound app.
Step 1. Launch the Samsung Sound app on your mobile device.
Instant Music Play Options:
- Spotify Tap: Sets a shortcut to the Spotify app. You must play music once in the Spotify app to complete the shortcut setup.
- Play/Pause: Sets a shortcut to other music service apps.
Step 5. Press the ♪ button on the Wi-Fi speaker to enjoy music playback.

- Press once -> Play/Pause
- Press twice in a row -> Play recommended tracks based on your preferences
Other music service apps
- Press once -> Play/Pause
- Press twice in a row -> Play next track
If Spotify Tap is not working
If the Spotify Tap feature is not working properly, check the following:
- Make sure you are logged in to the Spotify app.
- Make sure the Instant Music Play option is set to Spotify Tap in the Samsung Sound app.
- Make sure the WiFi Speaker is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure you have played music at least once in the Spotify app.
- Make sure the WiFi Speaker software is up to date.
