Warning : This band is quite heavy, weighing almost 2x the watch 5 40mm. At the watch fixing points it will not angle towards the wrist adequately, resulting in a gap top and bottom and therefore a loose fit on a smaller wrist. These two factors make it uncomfortable. Not worth the extra money.

Finally decided to buy the genuine milanese band as was hard to justify for so long compared to non-genuine bands. Wow wish I had done so from the get go, definitely worth the extra money. High quality materials, the steel mesh blends seamlessly where joining to the metal (problem I had with non-genuine bands, this frayed up and caught on everything). Very sturdy, have read other reviews stating it moves out of adjustment easily however with eagerness to adjust the band without reading the instructions I wasn't able to make it budge, until opening the secondary adjustment locking clasp.. Fits against watch without movement which allows the watch to fit tightly for the hr monitor, however still leaving room as to be not so tight it can be uncomfortable and move around like non-genuine magent only milanese bands. Purchased the 40mm band due to stock availability and can confirm it fits 44mm Watch 5. Slight gap due to circumference differences of watches, however barely noticeable and only at the centre of the curve.

My Milanese band fits my Watch 5 (40mm) perfectly and is easy to adjust. It's comfortable to wear and doesn't cause me to sweat unlike the supplied silicone band. The magnetic clasp is secure and fastens with a satisfying click. I'm surprised by the low ratings. There is a knack in adjusting the size and I suspect that some users may have clamped the band incorrectly (if the clamp remains slightly raised, it hasn't been clamped on a 'purchase point'). I understand that it is easy to buy the wrong band for the exact size/model of watch as well but, with the correct match, I have no complaints. I've been wearing the watch with the Milanese band daily for 7 weeks without any issue. I'd certainly recommend.

This is a good looking and strong band which is totally let down by practical design faults: 1) the adjustable length feature does not grip, so you can get it at the right tightness and put it on and within minutes it's loose again. The catch is also a poor design - it's very hard to put the watch on without catching your skin in the catch and, even if you do, it often catches the skin when you flex your wrist.
