The overall design, weight, in-hand feel, and ergonomics are fantastic. Both the cover display and the unfolded main screen look amazing and offer an incredible viewing experience. ​If I had to point out a few minor drawbacks, the placement of the heat dissipation feels a bit noticeable during heavy use, and I occasionally experience slight stuttering on a few specific apps. However, these are minor details compared to how good the rest of the phone is. Overall, it is an outstanding device and I highly recommend it.

It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. Videos look fantastic on the inner display, and the anti-reflective screen coating makes a massive difference for visibility. The upgraded faster charging is a welcome quality-of-life improvement, and the cameras are completely sufficient for everyday photos. Most of all, it brought back that genuine sense of excitement for mobile technology that smartphones have lacked for a long time.

Slim and lightweight, fits in your pocket without issue, and unfolds into a mini tablet perfect for consumption. Whether it's videos, music, social media, web-browsing, it's the perfect device. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Z Fold 8 because I am a big fan of the Fold series. However, the phone always seemed really long. So when this version was created, I was super excited because I am a media consumer, and the aspect ratio that you get when you open the phone is truly amazing. I find myself operating on the phone with it closed mostly, and then I'm able to open it for entertainment, which is perfect. It's very lightweight, and I love the faster charging. The only gripe that I have is that the icons rotate and rearrange when you have the phone open and you switch to vertical mode. But other than that, the phone is great.

Because of the wider out screen and the shorter length this phone is perfect as a daily driver. Samsung has been quite stubborn in the long and slimcandy bar style shape foldable which was rendering the outer screen useless as it was too difficult to type on due to the slim form factor. But NOW, the Fold 8 has followed the Pixel fold form factor and voila! It's a powerhouse as the software has always been superb, but now the wider shape allows me to use this without frustration. Kudos to Samsung for finally listening. This phone will dominate the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Fold 8 (wide) is a great new phone in regards to the external screen and internal folding screen. My only negative thought is no 200 megapixel main sensor and no telephoto lens, very disappointing on such a high end phone with such a high cost. As you will learn due to the Fold 8's high volume of sales, many people like larger phones but not necessarily folding ones. I suggest Samsung consider making a larger nonfolding phone, similar to the width of the Fold 8's external screen but also taller. Bring back the old Samsung Mega branding or call it the Samsung Titan. Again, their is a large market for larger phones especially in this day and age.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new Samsung Z Fold 8 for one reason and that is I needed as I get older and my sight gets older I needed something bigger but still pocket size and do a lot of things without opening my phone and this phone has it, it meets all the requirements I need. And as a 25+ years Samsung product owner I love their phones. My previous phones were the Flips and they were perfect I would've went with the Flip 8 but again my eyesight well let's just say I needed a little bigger screen but not too big, and it's still comfortable for 1 hand use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous phone was the Galaxy Z Fold 7 which I loved, but I chose to try the new passport-like form factor with with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and so far I am loving it. It is a bit smaller in total screen size but the new form instantly clicked for my normal phone use, which is primarily video watching and some light mobile gaming. Also with the 7 I found myself immediately rotating the device sideways to get the widest screen possible, whereas with the 8 you are already at the widest possible immediately upon unfolding. I appreciate the lighter weight and I'm also finding the cover screen much more usable than the 7 and a better fit in both my front and back pocket. Recommended.

The Fold 8 does more than fit the bill. I have found that it responds to inputs and requests quickly and the volume is sufficiently loud. I no longer have to worry about the S Pen falling out as it frequently did on my 25 Ultra. I greatly enjoy the folding feature when I am ready either important emails or documents or relaxing with a book from apps. Once it's time to go to work the phone folds down to an easily manageable small size. Overall great job Samsung

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After years of using the previous z fold series (up to 7), I really wanted a new design on the fold. That is why I chose the z fold 8 for its new (at least to the Samsung lineup) passport shaped fold. I have owned it for a few days only but I am already loving it much more than my previous folds. The front screen is much shorter but is easier to use due to its wider screen. Typing and viewing content is much more enjoyable. Additionally, unfolding it is also much more enjoyable due to its aspect ratio. At least for the apps I use, the content feels like it fills up the screen more than the previous folds. Unfortunately, the camera is a downgrade but it's still good enough for my needs.

It is amazing. I feel that way every time I pick it up, unfold it, fold it...etc. Bizarre to be so enamored with a phone, but it is what it is. Muscle memory made the switch from the Fold 7 a lot harder than I had anticipated. Harder, but worth the transition. I love the form factor. The form factor, coupled with the build quality, make this device a no brainer. The software and specs are the usual top notch Samsung throws out with new releases. Thank you, Samsung. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the original pixel fold, which I think had the best form factor out of any phones I've used. But that was years ago. Anyways had the fold 7, beautiful phone, but you'd literally get maybe .5 inch extra to view videos on the big screen. I chose the fat fold 8 this time and am so happy. I've used this phones inside screen more in the last week then I did on the fold 7 in the last 6 months. Some issues I gripe with is it doesn't have flex mode and the camera got bumped down. Also some apps do NOT work well on front screen. However it is still much more usable for me. Also Samsung went so cheap this time. No storage upgrade, complicated bonus discount that literally removed itself from my cart.

I was a little skeptical at first as to how I would feel about it, but after only having it for a day so far, I am already IN LOVE WITH THIS PHONE! The new form factor is perfect for having a nice and compact device when i just need basic functionality and yet still having the larger inner display when i want it. I have larger hands so I can perfectly reach the whole front screen and it's amazingly comfy to hold. So glad I took a chance and tried it out!

It is definitely an adjustment, but I am slowly enjoying the size and utilizing the various apps and watching of videos. I suspect the industry will slowly catch up with changing formatting of data on apps to support this size. I notice some oddities with apps, but again, I think those will clear up as the phone is introduced into the population and becomes more used. I am coming from the Z Fold 6, and this phone is a fresh update on that format.

My Galaxy Fold 6 was a great phone but with a case it was bulky and heavy. The Fold 8 is fabulous. It is so light and I love the new size. Its a bit of an adjustment but one I am happy to make. There are a few quirks with the screen (with different apps) that I'm getting used to but I am so glad I chose to go ahead and splurge on this phone. I love the speed and responsiveness. I've only had it a couple days and between kids and work haven't gotten alot of time to try all the features. But that's my plan for the weekend. If you are on the fence, I encourage the purchase. Its definitely worth it.

Now that I've had the phone for several days, my gut feeling has been affirmed. It's an awesome phone for my daily needs, which involve browsing, gaming, reading, and multi-tasking. I love the portable form factor of the phone and the fact that the cover screen is more than enough to do pretty much anything. When it's not, you can seamlessly transfer to the larger, inner display. I love using multiple apps side by side on the inner display, and I hope more apps optimize to fit the Fold 8's aspect ratio soon. I haven't been able to put my phone down for a while, and that means something coming from someone who has a tablet, PC, and e-reader on hand. I keep reaching for the Fold 8 instead!

I love the fact that the external screen gives the the smaller form factor I enjoy but pairs it with a great use of folding screen tech to unveil a larger than normal screen inside. It gives me the joy of a small phone, the utility of a larger phone and reduces the downsides of both. I'm already loving getting deeper into the software to customize things exactly how I like and for the first time I'm excited to see what might be in the future.

Well, the new Z Fold8 has addressed that problem with its more 4:3 aspevt ratio that also allows for a more enjoyable viewing experience with the native landscape orientation. All this and the phone is still thinner and has a larger battery capacity than my previous Z Fold6. Looking forward to putting this phone through its paces to discover if it can stand the test of time. If it all works out, Samsung has a real winner on their hands.

This is a great phone for me to use for running my business (restaurant) I can access multiple apps or files simultaneously if I can't get to my office PC. I also love the samsung Dex feature on all galaxy phones because I have PC access on any monitor that I can plug into. This is great for work. The new wide fold is great for watching any type of video, i use it more than my samsung tablet because of convenience. Im glad I chelose this phone!

The Z Fold 8 was the first folding phone to really catch my attention and I'm glad I jumped on the pre order. I love this form factor of a short wide display and the features that come with it. I've pondered over the larger fold 8 ultra and it's predecessors but holding it in hand it had a few down sides that never made me pull the trigger, but hands down the passport size of the Fold 8 just felt right. I might replace my S26 ultra for the larger Z Fold 8 ultra since I am enjoying this smaller version so much. I'd say if you consume a ton of content the ZFold 8 is perfect, if you want to do more bussiness related stuff I would get the Fold 8 ultra, either way samsung makes a great product.

I've always liked the Z Fold lineup, but it was just too big for my hand and pocket. Reaching the notification bar with one hand was always a struggle. When Samsung released the passport-sized Z Fold 8, I was all in. I got mine on 8/4/26, and I absolutely love it! It's the perfect size for one-handed use, fits comfortably in my front pocket, and finally gives me the Fold experience I've been waiting for. Thank you, Samsung, for making a smaller Z Fold. With the excellent trade in values, I chose to trade in my S26 Ultra and I am not regretting it. The Z Fold 8 is the best phone I ever bought! The size for me just makes sense. I have a small phone and a small tablet and they are both the right size. The fold crease is almost gone and I really dont even see it. Phone is light and bright. Customization is almost endless, I love this phone!

I'm upgrading from the 24 ultra and I've never had a flip or fold and wasn't sure what to expect but so far so good. I'm using the outer screen a lot more than I thought I would as the wider screen is actually super useful for what I mostly use my phone for which is reading books, browsing the web, and playing mindless games with friends. I occasionally use the larger inner screen but honestly not asuch as I thought I might. That might change in the future as I've only had the phone a few days but the outer screen is like 90% perfect for what I need. If they made the galaxy s ultra 27 a bar phone, a little shorter than it currently is, and the width of the fold 8,that's probably make me upgrade right away just because of the other ultra features that the fold 8 doesn't have.

I also had the Z Flip 7 and although I really liked it the front cover couldn't do enough for me. I read a lot of books and wanted a screen big enough that I wouldn't need my Kindle or Kobo readers. This is perfect. I actually enjoy reading on the front screen and social media works very well also. I don't like big cases so a very thin Aramid case keeps the phone very sleek and sexy. Having never been a big camera guy, I think what's in the phone is fine although I have learned some new tricks from watching reviews on YouTube. Overall I think Samsung knocked this one out of the park.

When I received the phone and took it out of the box and realized how small it was I had some fear. Once I got the phone running and realized how much fun it was to use I totally forgot about my Galaxy Ultra 24. The fold is very smart and intuitive and holding it in your hand is quite an experience. I really think Samsung knocked it out of the park ,if you have any hesitation don't.This phone will make you fall in love with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the main reason I choose the z fold 8 is really the new form factor. the older folds were too skinny but samsung got it right this time with a wider design. the 5.5 inch cover screen feels like a normal phone, so texting one handed is way better. when you open it, the 7.6 inch screen is amazing for multitasking or playing games. it's crazy light at just 201 grams so it doesn't weigh my pocket down. plus the screen is super bright outside. the cameras aren't a huge upgrade but the new 50mp ultrawide takes solid pictures. the 4800mah battery easily lasts me all day. I just put a clear case on it to protect it without ruining that super thin 4.5mm profile. honestly I think I made the right call going with this one.

So far I love everything about the phone and the experience. I find my self using the outside screen most of the time but browsing on the larger screen inside is quite a treat. I am looking forward to more app support and visual updates to make wallpapers my dynamic and perhaps allow 5 icons side by side on the front. The pistachio color is my favorite and the silicon cover has very comfortable.

As a college student studying Youth Development Programming and working as a Paraeducator, I am constantly juggling coursework, schedules, and daily tasks. Having that large main display lets me split-screen documents, keep track of plans, and manage my day effortlessly without feeling cramped. Outside of work and school, coaching basketball and staying active keeps me on the move, so having a device that transitions so easily from productivity to streaming and handheld gaming on the go is huge. The hardware quality is top tier, making it a complete upgrade for both my daily routines and my downtime.

The trade off for 100MP camera vs the novel shape/size of the phone concerned me at first but I am extremely happy with my choice. Fold 8 feels more natural to hold with its passport shape and the front screen is more usable. It also fits in pockets more comfortably; absolutely loving the small form it has when folded. I've only had it for a day and the battery life is noticeably improved. Phone super snappy. The "wide" fold 8 is a hit.

The phone just looks good without even exploring its capabilities. The front screen is the perfect and fo most things without unfolding. The phone is very light even with added cover. I normally use my fold for videos and reading while commuting to work. Opening the phone is a fantastic experience, but the best feature is watching videos. I am finding myself watching videos unfold. The phone uses every inch of real estate.

Websites and apps look perfect with the screen size and aspect ratio. The main front display is perfect for any task i need to get done quickly. The keyboard on the main display in my opinion is perfect for me and takes me back to the BlackBerry phone days. The cameras are very good and will give you clear and plenty of detail in any pictures day or night. Hardware performance and battery life have been great so far with the bonus of the faster charging speed. Phone has been great for the last week of using it. It's becoming my most favorite phone I've ever owned. I would recommend it to anyone really as it cover pretty much all use cases.

Cameras are better than expected coming from previous ultra and Note phones. Battery is impressive. Only gripes are the camera bump is big and unbalanced and have not found a case for it yet that is really comfortable to use. Mostly due to the razor thin bezels on the front screen. I'd choose this over any other phone on the market right now. Loving it so far!
