How do I remove a file from Private mode on my Samsung Galaxy S5?

To remove an item from Private mode on your Galaxy S5 follow the steps below.
Note: in this example a photo will be removed from Private mode in the Gallery app. The same steps apply broadly, but not identically, to other files accessed in other locations (such as videos in My Files).

From the Home screen touch Apps.

Touch Gallery (you may need to swipe left or right first to locate it).

Open the Gallery application and then tap on the Menu icon at the top-right corner.

Tap Select.

Tap on the photo you wish to remove from Private mode.

Tap the Menu icon again at the top-right corner.

Tap Remove from Private.

Tap on the folder in which the picture is located. The picture will be removed from Private mode.
