‘I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes.’ It really looks great in this Grey finish and once you have the App called Smart Things installed it is really easy to connect on the Internet to your washing machine .The reason you will want the App is how easy the benefits are of the app menu in helping you choose the best programme for the washing your about to do in the machine .I do love that i can from my smartphone send that recipe to my Washing Machine.A really wonderful and for me useful feature, is the auto dosing for detergent and softener. Also with the option to adjust the dose setting for hard or soft water, which is fairly straightforward and once set up wont need to be adjusted again. This feature linked to the Smart things app on my phone and will monitor the level of liquids in the dosing compartment and notify you when it needs to be filled again. My wife really found this feature so useful. Like others it is worth really worth noting that the washer expects you to use both detergent and softener so if one compartment is not filled up , the washing machine displays a message saying softener and detergent is low .The machine does offer so many different wash cycles that actually impressed me ....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. After years of trying to make sense of all the little hieroglyphics on machines to try and decide what programme to choose, this is a game changer. Gone is the default 44min programme with an extra spin cycle for towels. You run through options such as Baby Care/sanitise with hot wash or Colours/protect using lower temp and the one you choose informs you of the weight limit and estimated run time. That simple. The auto dose system is also great. With no longer trying to work out how much detergent to use with different loads, you just fill it up and the machine does the rest. The 15 minute Quick Wash is a cracker for those times when only THAT blouse/shirt will do and you want it NOW. Linking it to Samsung Smart Things app is simple and opens up plenty more options to custom the wash cycle to suit whatever you want to chuck in the wash. The only minor gripe is that the quick start guide isn't all that comprehensive. The download guide is well worth a good read.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. Love this machine I used the steam function on the towels in the photo, one of them had been badly discoloured as I used it for my hair I cannot now tell which one it was. Fantastic. The remote setting up was so easy to use. I set the machine in the morning with detergent and fabric conditioner, then about an hour before getting home I programmed which cycle I wanted so it had finished just before I arrived home. No washing sitting damp in the machine. Brilliant. You can also see where abouts through the wash cycle you are, how long left on the cycle and turn off the machine when the cycle has finished. The bubble feature was great for tee shirts that had stains on, removed them brilliantly. Add to door is great for the socks that get missed or dropped and you start the machine before you notice. I add our face asks, which I hand-wash to the final rinse and spin. Each cycle can be altered to your own specifications, changing the temperature, how many rinses and spin speed. I changed the rinses to only 2, which was enough. The only irritation is that the machine does not sit flush to the kitchen units, the cupboard next to it the door does not open fully, it does open enough to use the cupboard, so only a minor irritation. Since it is not flush sometimes your clothes touch the controls they can turn the machine on, all I do is set the child lock which is every so simple to do, it not only locks the doors but also the control panel. Love this machine and would definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. After receiving a white machine after we had been promised a silver one. Our initial disappointment quickly dissipated, as the machine looked modern, clean, sharp, and clearly of quality. Initially after switch on, the display happilly beeped at us, a few simly faces appeared, and made no sense at all!!... the installer had inadvertently switched it into German and then left. A bit of frantic web searching and I found out how to switch it to English. All became clear...ish. As its our first 'Smart' washing machine, it was a little daunting, and the instructions weren't particularly clear, however after we figured it out the concept to simply dial the big rotary dial and then hit go became very easy and similar to our previous machine. I absolutely love the automatic dosing system for the liquid. However a funnelled filler may prevent some over spill. The machine has a great 10.5 kg capacity, however many of the programmes tell you you can only fill with much smaller loads.. we found that cloudy day, with a full spin was a good balance of having to wash all the school uniforms and weekly washing quickly. A picky fault with it, after the first wash is that the profile of the door creates a gap between it and the door seal, where escapee socks have a tendancy to gather. Happens quite a few times so they just get wet and not washed or spun. After exploring the connection of the phone to the smartthings Samsung app onto my galaxy s20 phone i finally created a connection. The app was simple and I really love the recipee functions this made choosing the wash programme much easier. It then sends it to the washer and off it goes. You can make final adjustments on the machine itself like increasing the spin if you want. My wife didn't want to look at the app, as unnecessary and scary to her but after a while she will get it. Having the machine for about 2 weeks now, it is now fully integrated into our hectic lifestyle and we are extremely pleased with it. The only negatives have been; Escapee sock collector Initial set up instructions could be clearer

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. First Impressions – The model I choose was in Graphite Grey – the front was very minimal with one large chrome dial and an LCD display. There are a series of buttons that are discrete dimples under the LCD panel. Maybe it was my poorly lite laundry room, but the labels could be hard to see – but as I found out later you are unlikely to use these with the smart app being so useful. The front-loading door felt extremely large and made access to the drum simple and once closed allowed for easy viewing of the wash if needed. Initial Setup – The guide explains you would do best to install the Samsung SmartThings app on your device, I already had this as I own a Samsung phone but understand from the instructions the app can be installed on any android or iOS device. When you turn on the washing machine for the first time, the screen shows the initial setup process. It was extremely easy to follow and within a short time the Washing Machine and my phone were connected. The machine then ran an automatic calibration process, and I was then advised I could then use the machine. I was keen to get started – but soon realised that I needed to set up the automatic dispenser for the detergent and fabric conditioner. As I currently use detergent capsules, I was only able to use the fabric conditioner dispenser. It was amazingly simple there are 2 clearly labelled caps each sealing 2 surprisingly large tanks. I filled the fabric conditioner up to the max line. In the app I set the machine to not attempt to use the detergent tank for now – however I have found the automatic softener dispenser a real improvement and now cant wait to finish my supply of capsules so I can move to the liquid detergent the machine uses. First Use – Having now set up the machine I was ready for my first wash, I opted to use the app as I thought that would be the easiest way and it was. With SmartThings opened; I clicked on the washing machine, and from here choose “Laundry Recipe” option. The app presents with a picture menu of popular washing items, from Jean, shirts, socks and underwear to the not so regular items such as Waterproofs or curtains. You click next and have the choice to advise if the items are heavily, normal or lightly soiled and if they are whites, colours or mixed. Next after this choice your final screen presents itself – advising the type of wash recommended. Send to the machine and press start. Less than a minute from starting the app to starting the wash – amazingly simple. Whilst in use the machine and the app update – both display what the machine is currently doing but more importantly how long is left on the programme. At the end of the wash the machine plays a triumphant melody – you can turn this off – but so far it has been quite nice to hear. Performance – I have now done about 8 washes since having the machine. Only one wash has come out disappointing – they were some clothes I wore rambling and were extremely muddy. With hindsight I should have choose heavily soiled but forgot quite how muddy the clothes were as I had worn them at the start of my holiday a few days earlier, but I think with the right setting one wash would have sufficed. Which leads me to why this machine will be so good for me. I do not consider myself to be big on saving the planet or as my partner would want concerned about reducing the household bills – I think about both but that’s where it normally ends – just a thought – but with the recipe I am noticing that all my washes are using lower temperatures and more economical cycles than when I use to manually set my old machine going and despite these greener settings I can honestly say the clothes are coming out smelling fresher and just as clean if not cleaner. I am sure without the unnecessary hotter washes and my extra doses of conditioner I use to use the clothes should last longer and my energy bills will be less with this machine. Ease of use – I think the app is the easiest way to set the machine going, but I was concerned what if my app broke or heaven forbid my phone did! Could I still use the machine? So, on one wash I decided not to use the app. I am pleased to say that it was easy. You use the dial on the front to move through the various wash options, and then using the dimple buttons beneath the LCD display you can adjust the rinses, temperature etc. But to my surprise the app is not just a gimmick and is indeed a big step forward, the recipe option has proved to be a nice touch and my partner who never used the previous machine has managed to use this machine all thanks to the app! Final Conclusion – At the end of the day this is a Washing Machine or that’s what I thought – but what Samsung have done is to add nice touches that means using the everyday appliance is not only simple and quick it’s also enjoyable. Most importantly the cleaning results are amazing, but for me the Automatic dispenser and the clever app (Both of which I was a little sceptical about having quickly become a must have. (I liken it to when I bought my first car with reversing sensors and will never go back to a car without them) The machine is solid and well built; has even more features that I have not had chance to use or test (for example I cannot wait to try Hygiene Steam soon!) all I can say is I would thoroughly recommend this Samsung Washing Machine.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. This washing machine is really quiet (once I'd adjusted the foot to stop it wobbling while spinning). The front controls are easy to use - we tend to use the same 3 or 4 types of wash, so it's easy to find the ones we want, and adjust slightly when needed. It's really easy to connect to your internet as well (if you want to) and use the SmartThings app to setup 'recipes' for your wash i.e. what items are in your wash, are they white/coloured and are they lightly or heavily soiled. You can then send that recipe to your Washing Machine. My only problem with this is that I then have to go and hit 'Go' on the washing machine itself, i.e. you can't do it from the App at the same time. The auto-dosing is useful too. At he moment we only have the Softener drawer filled, as we currently have pods, but will get washing liquid next shop, so that they can both be automatically dispensed depending on the level you select. I'm assuming when either runs out that my App will tell me before it washes, but we've only done 6 washes with it so far, so haven't found that out yet.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. When we received this machine, it was a nice surprise to see how well it fit into the space our old Samsung machine was in. It had many similar features like Ecobubble and time delay, but this new machine takes it all to a new level. I'll start with practicality. The auto-dosing of the washes is a huge time saver as it avoids having to worry about how much you're putting in and then adjusting all the measurements for the liquid concentration and even for accounting for hard water. Basically, the machine dose this all for you and you can keep a track of usage on the SmartThings app (it used to show me weekly usage, but more on the app later). It did seem to use a lot more detergent than we used to use, but that probably explains why we weren't washing clothes so thoroughly (and this is also a 10.5kg machine, compared to our old 9kg one and it makes a huge difference in terms of what we fit in). The only issue we could see with this was that if we wanted to change both the detergent and softener (like for our baby vs adult colour or sportswear) you can't do that, so we are currently sticking to the same conditioner for all washes as you can still use a different detergent by choosing to use the manual feed rather than auto-dose. You can disable each setting too though, so you can just wash with a wool detergent or not use conditioner on a certain wash. The amount you can load in each setting is also nicely picked out in the screen display, so you know that you can't put say 10kg of clothes in a quick wash or 5kg in a wool one, so this avoids getting half washed items out. It also meant that when we did a wool wash with some large cushion covers, they cleaned really well at home, so we didn't need to take them to the dry cleaners! Overall, as a washing machine, I found our washes came out feeling a little softer (possibly from a better wash and dosing) and even found that they were less chances of finding any damage on the more "fragile" items - although we've only done about a dozen washes in the last two weeks. Towels were where we noticed the most difference and I expect that the steam part of the cycle gives an extra softness to them by fluffing them up (as well as killing bacteria, etc.). The benefit of having the system automatically rank your most used washes first is already starting to show and I'm sure in time it will be able to learn other settings if we set them as favourites. This does mean it's not as bad as I expected from removing the options from around the dial as on the old machine. The extra features such as time delay are good to see, although the child lock feature is a little less obvious than I'd like (our old system just needed two buttons pressed at the same time whereas here you need to go into a menu - not too hard, but not as quick). Given that one of the perks of this machine is the app and wifi connectivity, I tested this out and use it a fair bit now. The wifi worked first time for us (which was really nice to see) and the app comes up with new things each few times I use it (although I do find it impossible to find some of the old info it showed me before, so I'll need more time to delve into this). Firstly, the app allows you to fine tune the time delay to finish at almost an exact minute (very useful to have it done during our economy 7 electricity times and ready for us in the morning, but not too early!). Our old system only allowed us to set it to hours in advance (so we'd be waiting to set in just before half past the hour each time), but although this is the same on the new machine itself, you can use the app to change the minutes too. The biggest benefit here is also that the machine does a weighing in at the point you start the delayed wash. Our old machine would allow us to delay the end to the morning, but often it was done an hour earlier as it would start when the full cycle time remained and so if we'd part filled the machine it wouldn't realise and the cycle would just end early, leaving wet clothes in the machine until we woke up. This is a much better system on the new machine. Here the app also helps by allowing you to keep an eye on the time left (especially useful I imagine when we're allowed to go out of the house to see friends again) and also to run another rinse and spin if you're going to be out for a long time after the machine is finished (avoiding that damp odour on the clothes). One interesting feature on the app is the ability to pick a laundry "recipe" where you pick what you have put in and it recommends the best setting. I have second guessed it a bit so far, but I think it'll be interesting to try it for a few days and see if it makes much difference to the washes or if it's just a gimmick. It can also tell you when you need to buy more detergent or conditioner if you input on the app how much you have stocked in the cupboard, so that's a nice feature given that it will learn your use patterns over time. Choosing settings on the app and sending it to the machine is also a very fast way to set the machine, but I think there are a few things that I still feel the app needs better control over (like setting the delay before you send the instructions to the washer or even allowing child lock or no softener choices to be controlled from the app). Finally, I would love to see the ability to turn the machine on from the app as otherwise you need to be by the machine to turn it on before you set it, so if you have for some reason gone out and want to run the cycle you left in the machine, you can't. I wonder if this is a safety feature to ensure you see what's in there before you set it, but I'm not sure how often you'll have closed the door with the wrong items in there. So as a conclusion, I have to say I really enjoyed getting to know the new features of this machine and having some of the smart functions really has made a difference. At the end of the day, it's a washing machine, so on top of washing clothes properly, everything is just bells and whistles, but in my opinion, these machine has some really nice ones and I look forward to new features that can be added in the future (I don't know if software updates can make this one better or if they'll have to come on new machines). If you want a higher end machine with a huge capacity, then this is definitely one of the ones I'd recommend as it's got everything the competition does and then some more. Oh and one last thing, this machine was so much quieter than our old one, so that was a huge bonus when it's on when we're in the kitchen.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. I love the sleek look of the machine. It's very easy to use with a touch button to switch on and off and has a large display. Selecting the wash cycle you want is easy enough by turning the dial. The add to the wash feature is great if you forget to add something but you can't use it on a hot wash which I suppose makes sense as steam burns are not pleasant. I haven't used all the different wash cycles but I am sure I will get round to it. The spin cycle is so quiet so I don't mind having it going whilst working. It plays a tune at the end of the cycle which I find amusing. It's a great machine with many features and is a great addition to my kitchen. I love my machine and would definitely recommend it.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes and I'm absolutely delighted with it. The first thing I noticed when setting the device up is how quietly it runs. When we first turned it on and did the calibration the drum was spinning so quietly you could hardly hear it. The setup of the "smart" features was easy, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the number of settings and options available for the device in the SmartThings app, having it pop up on your phone when a wash finishes is great feature for us as it reminds us to empty the machine so the clothes are not left damp. Since we recieved the machine we have mostly been using the quick wash settings my wife loves that she can get the kids washing done in 15 to 20 minutes with the clothes coming out looking nice and clean. As my wife is a nurse she is also making use of the Steam Wash function for her uniform to help kill any germs the fabric may have picked up during her shift. The auto dispenser is a great feature that we have used since the machine arrived (you fill one tank with detergent and the other with softener) the machine automatically dispenses the right amount for the wash (you can lower or increase the amounts dispensed in the app) The machine itself looks great, it's quiet, it's smart, energy efficient (you can also see energy usage in the app) and it's a great addition to our home.

Firstly it looks huge, but is actually a standard size but the drum is massive, there are so many great programmes, just turn the button to scroll through, then you get to choose extra functions such as the fantastic eco bubble soaking programme, which, when you wash a football teams kits, it is a game changer, it send bubbles through the fabric to lift the stains, and it really does work! I love the auto dose function for both detergent and fabric conditioner, it saves time in a morning not having to mess around with that, and you can set it to add as much or little as you want. The machine is so quiet, even on a full speed spin you hardly hear it. It literally has every programme you could need, and then some... the smart app is great, really easy to set up to the network and its great that I can keep track of how long my washing will take etc... moving onto the negatives, and unfortunately it does have a few, though thankfully, minor ones, I'm being very picky.... the smart app requires the machine to be physically switched on, so it seems I'm unable to start the machine washing just from the app, I need to physically switch on the machine first, making the app a bit redundant in that sense.. (Unless I'm just using it wrong!) I also noticed that the laundry seems very creased when it comes out of the machine, I thought with the bigger drum this would not happen, no problem for me as I tumble dry most things, but you will definitely have to iron if line drying. Another really small but very annoying thing is is plays a tune at the end of the wash, and it's quite loud and quite long, which when you have shift workers trying to sleep it is a bit annoying, I had hoped to be able to either change it to just a beep or turn it off altogether. Its well made, looks great and I do love it overall. The usual hugh quality you would expect from Samsung.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. Our previous washing machine was also a Samsung and was very good, but this one is even more impressive. It is remarkably quiet. In the programme list there is a “silent” wash, but given how quiet it is on a normal wash, I can’t see this being necessary. We’ve washed several loads of normal clothes or towels and all have come out as clean and fresh as I have come to expect with a Samsung washing machine. We’ve yet to try some of the other programmes, such as hygiene steam or drum clean, but I look forward to doing so in the future. One new feature which I particularly like is the Auto Dose feature. We had already switched to liquid detergent and the ability to load up the dispensers with detergent and fabric softener and leave the machine to figure out what it needs each time is fantastic. It’s less fiddly and I’m sure it will be more efficient and therefore more economic and more environmentally friendly. Being set in our ways, we initially manually set it, which is very easy, using the dial to select the washing programme. My only niggle was that if you don’t press the start button for a couple of seconds and just quickly press it, it remains on hold, which caught both me and my husband out first-time round. We then decided to try using the app and found it pleasantly easy to set up and use. The app quickly found the washing machine and took you through the steps where you choose the types of things you are washing and level of soiling, so that it can recommend a washing programme, which it then sends to the washing machine. We’ll have to see which method (manual or using the app) we prefer over time, but both are very easy to use. Apart from the initial hiccup in pressing the start button, I only have a couple of other niggles: - The dial for choosing the programme is very clear, but the power button and start button on the machine are very faint and could be hard to see in low light. It would be good if they were more visible. - machine does not have the manual door catch that our previous one did, so it can be quite hard to pull open. Overall, I am very impressed with this washing machine. It continues the high standard of wash quality with added features that I find very useful. As I said earlier, it is remarkably quiet and I believe it will be even more energy efficient and environmentally friendly than our previous machine.

My first impression of the washing machine was its appearance - it is pleasing to the eye and conveys quality and style. I initially thought the design would dominate the kitchen, but once installed the sleek and simple design that blends in nicely. The uncluttered control panel features is very easy to use, despite the huge range of washing options. A rotating dial has a pleasing and quality feel to it and is used to cycle through the main options. I liked the fact that physical buttons are replaced with touch sensitive buttons which means less areas for dirt to get stuck and makes it super-easy to wipe clean. The smart display panel shows all the key information for each washing option, and you can easily control specific items of your wash cycle. For example, you can use the dial to select the 'synthetics' option and this displays the temperature, speed and stages of the wash cycle. You can either proceed to press 'start' or customise the wash, by easily adjusting elements such as the temperature or adding extra stages such as the bubble soak for a deeper clean at lower temperatures. I was also able to connect the washing machine to my phone, which allows you to control the washing machine from anywhere. This could be helpful if you want to set the washing machine to finish in time for you to come home. Even without using your phone, you can set a timer on the washing machine. The washing machine has lots of features, too many to list here, but one of the most useful is a handy hatch to drop in small items mid way through the wash. However, our favourite feature of the washing machine was how quiet it is! Unless we were in the same room as the washing machine, we could not tell that it was going through its spin cycle because of how quiet it is. This is particularly helpful when working at home, or when setting the washing machine to run at night, as we have a cheaper tariff at night time. The only thing we don't like is the chime when the wash ends, but this is easily turned off so not a problem at all really. Brilliant washing machine, with solid eco-credentials, that is by far the best we have owned to date. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. This is a 'smart' washer and whilst the internet and app add some useful features, the most important thing for me is -does this washer wash well? It does - all my clothes have been washed and rinsed well. Connection to the wifi network was straightforward and has been without problem. Some programmes take longer than I would like, but the programmable element does allow for some adjustment to the temperature and spin speed - which is useful and as I would expect for a quality washer. There is a useful 15 minute quick wash cycle and, as expected, a delay start time option. It is worth noting though that many of the pre-set programmes have a maximum capacity which is lower than the 10kg capacity of the washer (eg. Activewear has a max capacity of 2kg, which is not that much). This washer is highly energy efficient and doesn't lose any quality in washing capability through being more energy efficient. Seeing as it's located in my kitchen (where we eat) - its quietness was really noticeable and appreciated - even at the fastest spin, this washer is much quieter than my previous one, which is a real plus. A useful feature is the auto dosing -for detergent and softener, with the option to adjust the dose setting for hard or soft water, which is fairly straightforward (once you've read the manual) and once done won't need to be adjusted again. This feature links to the Smart things app, which will monitor the level of liquids in the dosing compartment and notify you when it needs re-filling. I've found this more useful than I expected - however, it is worth noting that the washer expects you to use both detergent and softener - if one compartment is not filled, the washed displays a message saying 'detergent / softener is low' -so I felt I had to start using softener, though i don't normally bother. The app also has a handy 'laundry recipe' feature - something I've preferred to scrolling through the menu of wash cycles. this allows you to select the content of the wash e.g towels, identify whether coloured or white, and how soiled they are. you can then get the recommended was cycle and send it to the washer. Pretty useful, though the temp, rinses and spin speed selected can't be changed. Another useful feature, is the ability to add 'my favourite washes' to the smart things app. In this way you can chose a preset cycle and adjust the settings (to a degree), saving them with your own name. You can then send this to the washer and set the washer going. Many of the cycles are for specific clothing types, but i generally only do 3 wash types - so i wont use a lot of the features, which has been pretty much the case with all the washers i've had. This is a good washer, which washes well and is energy efficient. It has lots of added extras should you wish to use them and now I have washer that doesn't beep all the time, because i've disabled the 'tune' to tell you its finished and just get a silent notification on my phone - a much better option, I find.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. The washing machine has a sleek design and, in silver, blends in well with the worktops and cabinets in our kitchen. Using the washing machine is simple. The control panel consists of an easy to read LCD display with the main dial for rotating through the preset cycles and individual buttons to alter the wash temperature, number of rinses and spin-speed. Activating additional functions (including prewash, bubble soak and delay end) requires some extra navigation through menus and can take some getting used to. However, I prefer this to having explicit buttons for these functions as it means the machine is better to look at and means it does not stand out in the kitchen. As you would expect, this machine washes well. There is a wide variety of preset cycles, including fast washes, all of which run quieter than our previous machine. Clothes come out of the wash clean and smelling fresh. I have had no faults during my use so far. An additional feature I particularly liked is the Bubble Soak which, as you may expect, allows you to soak your washing in bubbles for 30 minutes before the wash. I found this great for clothes with stains and meant I no longer had to soak them in the sink before washing them. An advantage with this machine over our previous model is the AddWash door. As our laundry basket and washing machine are on different floors, there is often a rouge item of clothing found on the stairs after I’ve started a cycle. The ability to add these items (or fabric conditioner) into the wash through this door is a useful feature to have. This machine is excellent with regards to hygiene and cleaning. One problem we have had with washing machines in the past is dirt build-up. Fortunately, this machine will remind you every 40 washes to complete a Drum Clean cycle to prevent this from happening. We also have a dog who likes to get muddy. Having the hygiene steam setting has been great for ensuring anything he brings into the house is removed from his bed and jacket. It also provides us with peace of mind when washing our clothes afterwards. One of the standout features of this washing machine is the ability to interact and control it remotely from your phone over, via Samsung’s SmartThings app. Setting this up requires connecting the washing machine to your WiFi network, which is a simple process. The app can be used to select a cycle or recommend “Laundry Recipes”, based on what is in your load. Simply select the items you are washing, indicate what their colour is and how soiled they are, and the recommended cycle is sent to the machine ready to start. I think this is an excellent way to explore the different cycles available on the machine and find the right cycle to use for those who may not be the best at doing laundry. You can also use the app to start a load when you are out of the house, so it will be ready for when you get home. Due to lockdown restrictions at the time of review, I am yet to use this feature, but I can see how useful it could be. I particularly like that if your cycle finishes before you get home, it will rinse and spin your washing to prevent your washing from smelling. It is also helpful to receive a notification on your phone when the cycle is complete. I would recommend this washing machine based on its excellent performance and quality of life features. My only dislike is how long the completed cycle melody plays for.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. We are very pleased with this washing machine. It is a substantial improvment over our old one. It runs very quietly and cleans brilliantly. It looks sleek and stylish and fits in well with our kitchen. The minimalist display and smartphone link work brilliantly and it has encouraged us to actually use the appropraite washing cycles instead of the previous 2 settings that we used. It is very economical and the self cleaning features bring a lot of reasssurance over the long term use of the machine. It can take a family sized washing load without problems and the automated dispensers for fabric softner and detergent are a good time saver and make sure we are not overusing product. Finally power on and end cycles are accompanied by a cheerful tune to help take the drudgery out of washing.

I have the machine for 1 year now. Very happy with it but the last 2 washes I selected 0 spin because I had wool jumpers. Two times the jumpers have destroyed. I have never seen anything like this. They shrank so much that the sleeves melted, you cannot pass the hand between them. The machine went to max speed to make this. It is unbelievable…

After studying the comprehensive manual and setting up the machine for water hardness etc we printed off the pages the various settings and went for it. Very impressed on how quiet the machine was even when spinning. Our first few washes were a combination of coloured loads and white so we used the dispense ball for the 2 different liquid detergents, but we have now filled the auto dose with the colour detergent and will disable the auto dose feature when doing a whites wash. So far impressed that the dispense rates for both detergent and conditioner are set to our requirements. Washing performance and the condition of the clothes after spinning is very good. Never thought that we would be doing our washing 'online' but the App is great. Sending the correct wash program to the device and monitoring progress is so easy. I prefer to use the App rather than the program selector on the machine. Another great feature is the delay function where you set the finish time so you can be sure that you get it right first time and the washing is ready when you wanted it. Although this is in our utility room, it would not look out of place in full view as it has a sleek modern look.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes and we are really happy with it. Overall, it is quiet, very easy to use and looks great. Best Features: Smart app - to my surprise I have been using the SmartThings app to program each wash, rather than the onboard controls, due to its simplicity and customisation options. It may seem daunting at first, but I adapted very quickly. The 'recipe' function (in-app) allows you to select multiple types of items in your load and provides you with the best setting to use. Auto Dose - I wasn't sure about using this initially but I love it! You just fill the two tanks with your detergent and softener and the machine automatically dispenses the amount required for your wash. The machine tells you when they need refilling. Pre-set cycles allow you to change the temperature, number of rinses and spin speed to your liking. When starting a wash the machine performs a scan of the load and adjusts the cycle accordingly, usually resulting in a shorter duration than originally quoted (by the machine). Quick 15-minute wash, great if you have kids. Up to 90 degree wash. App shows energy use, number of cycles and counts down to when a drum clean is required. The only (very minor) negative points so far: Despite being able to select all cycle options using the app, the confirmation of the wash is still performed using the start button on the machine. The app only sends the 'instruction' to the machine. There is a happy tune that plays at the end of a cycle but it goes on forever! Other options would have been good but it can be turned off and the app also alerts you at the end of a wash. In summary, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this machine.

The primary criteria by which I judge a washing machine is how well it cleans clothes. Everything else (and this machine has a fair amount of 'everything else') is secondary. So let me start with that aspect. It cleans clothes just as well as I expect from a good washing machine. Moving onto the 'everything else'. The 10kg capacity comes in handy for a family, fewer washes each week, whilst also having programs that can do a quick wash on smaller loads. The auto dispense feature is simple to use and unlike some machines I've seen doesn't require the use of proprietary cartridges. Just open up the compartment lid and fill up the detergent and conditioner. The only gripe was that the initial setup of this was complicated by the need to change the settings on the machine so that it knew I was using the super concentrated liquids so needed to tell the machine to use less than the default. The washing machine has support for the SmartThings app, but that doesn't appear to include changing settings like this. Finding the setting on the washing machine's menu system needed the help of the manual. With manual in hand it was simple enough. Having experience the auto dosing, I do wonder if I'd ever go back to machine where you need to pour the liquids with each wash. The convenience of letting the machine measure out how much liquid to use is great. Noise - a washing machine spinning at 1400 RPM is never going to be quiet, so with that in mind I would say it's quiet enough. With the door closed for the room the machine is in, you don't really notice the machine doing its thing. Features - one simple, yet cool, feature is the ability to customise what programs are available on the wash programs menu. There are quite a number of programs available, so the ability to hide those programs we don't use or need helps simplify future operation. The SmartThings app also has a guide that will help you select a program if you need the help. You select what type of clothes you want to wash, how dirty they are and it recommends which program to run. I'm not entirely sure who this feature is aimed at because I would expect most users familiar with a washing machine and the need to do laundry on a regular basis will know what program they need to use for what they are washing. The app also monitors the program and lets you know when the wash is finished - useful if your machine is out of sight (& sound) meaning you miss the chimes at the end.

The quickdrive feature does not appear on the additional function menu as part of the additional functions like preeash,buble soak etc . The quickdrive function does not exist in additional function menu. The technical support are not able to verify this but the machine i purchased from the seller and samsung website says this model WW80T854DBH and the manual says it supports it.

We bought this brand new and within the first month it was leaking from the door. We noticed clothes were getting caught between the door and the seal whilst they were washing. Samsung have not helped at all. We have sent photos as requested when it happens. They now require videos of it leaking like we haven’t got anything better to do like be at work! The washer is less than 3 months old now and from week 3 we have had nothing but hassle with it. Do not waste you’re money on this item and don’t bother trying to get help through Samsung on it as you will just be pushed away! I have never had any issue with any other washer owned, nothing but issues with the one!

However, even as tech savvy household, setting up the SmartThings app was unnecessarily laborious—constantly having to log back into the account, not connecting to the washing machine. The issue is that it isn't as instantaneous as you'd expect. The same with registering for the 5-year warranty, not as simple as it could—and should—be. Of course, once you've got past the tedious steps: WiFi control is a breeze, and the guarantee is great for peace of mind. Great product long term, tedious set-up short term.

Although there is included a printed a set of instructions for just the basics you really need to look at the on-line documentation to get to use all the features eq. timer set.. This may not be to all people's liking as there is still a preference for a printed maual so you can add your own notes etc. Pehaps this should be an option. Have used some of the wash cycles and so far please with results. I like the idea of adding small pieces of laundry during the wash cycle itself.

The main issue with auto dosing is that the dosing drawer gets mouldy very quickly. I either leave it open (spoiling the look of the machine) or take it out completely to air the machine and the drawer. This is really disappointing. Also, like other, the auto dosing is erratic and we have had washing loads which come out smelling like they have not had any detergent on them. The actual programmes are OK and it is quiet and spins well, cloudy day being a good cycle. But would I buy another self dosing machine - NO. The reason it uses less detergent is that sometimes it doesn't put any detergent in the machine!

The Auto-dose is a luxurious feature - fill the drawer with detergent, and the machine dispenses the right amount for up to 16 washes. Multiple programmes including Delicate Wash, Hand Wash, 15 minute Quick Wash, and Wool Programme. The app is great for monitoring energy use, and delaying the wash end time. I love love this washing machine, it just zipps throught washing with ease. Just add your washing, pick your load settings and it will do the rest. the weight of the wash is calculated then the correct amount of detergent is automatically added along with conditioner. amazed 👏 not only that it's quiet through the ENTIRE wash, even my dishwasher is louder and that's not even that noisy.

Why, in this day and age, doesn’t it have a delay timer function? I want to run it during off-peak hours but it’s not possible unless I stay up to 1am to press the start button manually or start the app. Wouldn’t have bought it if we knew this. And that awful tune when the cycle has finished- whose idea was that??? Might have to sell the flippin’ machine just because of that. Oh, and the app is also awful, not user-friendly and doesn’t have a delay start function on it. Really can’t think of anything good about this machine and am hoping it breaks soon so I can get rid of it. Finally, I have used a brand new email for this review so let’s see how much spam I get as a result. Bet it is loads.

I really like my new machine , having purchased cheap machines in the past , which unfortunately didn’t last long, I went all out for this one. It leaked from the door from day one , I had a new seal fitted, it still leaked, so had a new door fitted, it still leaked, this process was very long winded, 11months later numerous videos and emails , phone calls ,engineer visits, I got a new machine . Love the features on the machine and washing comes out clean , it’s great at removing stains. I have given it a four because it was really hard work getting any help from customer service

Worked great for 4 months, then a drum paddle/ lifter fell off. Of course, I have the warranty, but this was worthless as Samsung insisted it would be a chargeable repair. I've fixed many an appliance myself so have just ordered the spare part, but Samsung's paddle design is terrible. It requires the removal of a hose to access the screw that secures the paddle to the drum, where every other manufacturer have a simple clip in attachment method. I am never getting Samsung again, as a) their service to not repair this under warranty is awful (the fact it failed so soon after purchase is terrible) and b) that to repair it myself is a tedious task because of their design. Beware if you're thinking of purchasing!

It is easy to keep clean, which is important if like me it is kept in the utility room and you have dogs. There are numerous programmes which cover all washing needs. Would advise to read the handbook found online to get more detail about them. Previously with other machines I have used only 1 or 2 programmes. With this I have used several depending on the type of load. The weight of load is assessed by the machine and the length of the wash and spin cycle are adjusted accordingly. Also, if using the auto dose the amount of detergent and softener are tailored to the load. When switching on the machine it advises if either of these need topped. Most importantly the machine washes the clothes well. Stains have been removed without the need for further treatment. When the cycle is finished the machine plays a short tune or as I was told by a child "the washing machine is singing to you." It is highlighted on your phone if using the SmartThings app. Very happy with this washing machine!

I love the machine it's quiet and I feel the clothes are clean. BUT I feel ripped off. I purchased this washer predominately for the 9kg load capacity, and I was hopeful that big capacity would result in less loads across the week However, 9 kgs is only available for 4 of 11 cycles - for instance bedding cycle max load 2kg, towels max load 4kgs, shirts 2kgs, outdoor wear 2kgs etc etc. OK I have 4 cycles that accommodate 9kg, and I will mainly be using the Cloudy Day cycle which is 9kg , but Hotpoint offered far more full load cycles and for far less money.

I’m really enjoying the auto dose, filling up occasionally instead of adding detergent etc every time. The main thing I’m finding frustrating is not having a decent instruction book for any problems I do have eg how to set the machine to account for the concentration of the softener, my clothes don’t seem to have any fragrance so I’m not sure it’s working right! Also, I thought the AI only worked if you chose it but I’ve set the program before but the machine has overruled me for some reason. My 1hr 27min cycle has gone to 3 hrs, machines are taking over!!

Fab washing machine for size of drum, auto dosing system, hygiene steam, and ability to check in on the wash and where it’s at on the app. Connecting the machine to the internet and the app was a bit frustrating, clear concise are needed, and in the end I stumbled onto the solution, but since then, it’s been a breeze to use. The auto dose system ( like loading the dishwasher with salt and rinse aid) has made clothes feel fresher as the correct dose is being used each time. The machine weighs the washing in the drum and doses accordingly. Love it!

Very impressed so far with the ease of installation and setup and the ease of use. The machine has plenty of options (probably more than really required) to cover pretty much any item of fabric you are washing. First batch of items we have ran through it we have been very impressed. WiFi was easy to setup, not sure it’s really needed but useful to have a phone alert for a finished wash cycle. Overall we have been very impressed so far, this machine has been a large step up for us as we usually take the budget option route with washers, however this washer did not exactly break the bank purchasing on a good deal via Samsung. If all continues well with this machine we will definitely consider a more improved model from Samsung next time.

I'm extremely happy with this purchase. From the first load, when I opened the door and could visually see how clean the clothes were and the hint of fragrance that wasn't over washed out I knew I'd made the right choice. It's very simple to set up and use, has many options to choose from and tailor to your requirements. You can download the app and get real time notifications if you desire, the machine is modern and sleek but most of all my teenage daughter now washes her clothes not me so I'm winning all over. I couldn't be happier.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. This washing machine is intuitive and easy to use. You can fill with washing liquid and softener and it’ll auto dose each wash depending on how dirty you tell it it is. The one knob just sets the wash to what you want and then you can tweak the settings [temperature, spin cycle etc] if you need to. The timer on it tells you how each setting affects the overall wash time, and that counts down throughout the wash so you can see how long before it’s finished.

Love my washing machine. It has a decent amount of functions and love that it connects to my phone so it lets me know when it's finished. It's in our garage so I forget that it's been on. I also like the bubble soak function for that bit extra. All the programmes can be adjusted for temperature, number of rinses and spin speed. The auto dose function is very convenient. We use cloth nappies and the baby care programme is perfect for these. Love the 5 year warranty, this is one of the main reasons I bought it. The only cons I can give it are - small items like socks get stuck in the door - the auto dose regularly says the softener is low when it's not (opening and closing the drawer clears this message) - I press buttons when I lean on it

I haven’t figured out how to adjust the soap concentration levels (something I read should be possible to do) but I set the level of detergent used to ‘medium’ and it seems to be doing ok and not overdoing on the detergent anyway. As other reviewers noted the washing comes up quite dry. Overall loving this machine and I’ve never been more excited to do laundry!

I am really impressed with this washing machine. The noise level I very low. There are many programmes preset from which you can choose from which is handy. I love the auto dose function. I no longer need to mess around with detergent and fabric softeners. I fill up the compartments and the machine works out how much to use each time! How convenient.!! I have purchased awasher WW80T534DAW About 8 months ago, and I’ve been using the auto dispense for the detergent and also the conditioner. The detergent was low so filled it up checked the conditioner and was still full. The draw is not dispensing conditioner, so emptied it cleaned it out refilled, placed on a rinse/spin still not working, made sure it was on in the settings, both set too high on wash and rinse. still not working Its a faulty washer and a lot of people have the same issue with it Do Not Purchase.

Connecting it to the SmartThings app let's me tell it exactly what's in a load so it can select the best settings. It's really quiet, and the Add Wash door is very, very handy. The only thing I don't like is the chime it plays when the was is finished. It's so long and boring. I wish I could customise it. But that has no impact on how great the machine does it's job :)

Then after trapping a compression top/sleeve in the door and watching every item coil up before I destroyed (so I thought) the door seal and watched the machine empty on the floor. It was a simple fix! (Not by me)! so it made choosing the next machine easier....same make just a different model...like us all a few days without a machine the washing builds up so it was busy the first few days and I tried to use different cycles. Auto dose is great (which can be turned off) the app was easy to set up on my phone and has been good to look through the different washing options. The extra rinsing is new to me but easy to change. It's quieter than my last machine too.

Please take my apologies for grammar mistake I made it in the review below. I didn't received this washing machine from anyone for review. I bought by my own money and I really regret it. Firstly, the Washing machine is not in standard deep so it is sticking out from under the worktop quite badly. You've probably need the American style kitchen for it size. Secondly, the machine is very inconsistent and never actually wash our laundry properly. Regardless of what program have been used, the laundry is soiled or not rinsed properly and stained with the white marks along them. Thirdly, the washing machine is leaking water from the front door from the day one. Lastly, the "child lock" is working on all buttons except the power on/off button so your child or you accidently can power off the washing in the middle of the program running.

Very pleased so far with this washing machine. It is easy to use; the controls are simple and intuitive. The app is easy to use and I really like the feature where you can choose what items you are washing and it will recommend which program to use! The auto dose feature is handy as now we just put the detergent in and don't need to top it up with each wash until the machine notifies us it's running low. The clothes are washed well and the spin does a good job of drying them. The other thing I'm really impressed with is how quiet it is. My older machine was really loud, particularly in it's final spin, but this machine is so quiet that I can't really hear it. We have it in a separate utility room, but it's so quiet that if it was in the kitchen I don't think we'd even notice it when it's on. Overall we're very pleased so far with this purchase!

Also quiet and the available options can all be customised through the Smart Things App. So pleased with it we eventually went for the matching Tumble Dryer to go along with it. The upfront cost is worth it with knowing my monthly bills will be kept minimal in this energy crisis. Definitely been converted to Samsung!

It looks great, really modern and premium, it is packed full of very useful programmes and features, there seems to be a programme for every type of wash, it's really easy to use, just turn the dial to get to the wash you want then the next step is to add a feature, things like pre wash and bubble soak or adjusting the auto dose amounts. The touch controls are really quick to use, the display is clear and bright and it has loud clear tones to indicate the end of wash, it even sings a little tune. Laundry comes out of the machine damp, so an efficient spin cycle, there is quite a lot of creasing though, you can use the smart things app to control the machine, and send wash instructions to the machine but the machine needs to be turned on first. All in all a great machine, very roomy and super quiet.

I bought this machine to replace mine as it broke. Love how quiet it is through the spin cycle, it was very easy to instal and connect to the internet. My only things really are that the cycles are long and I wish they did it in black other that that love my new machine. The auto dose feature is really good as I don’t have to remember to add liquid can fill it up and it lasts around a month on 3 washes a week.

Good drum size for med/large family. The auto dose feature is great I now save so much £ on detergent and softener. Drying time is cut in half as spin rpm is fantastic. Machine is quiet up until the jingle at the end of a cycle. Overall good washing machine. The ultimate test is how long it would last for as I had my last machine for nearly 14yrs however I’m happy with my purchase.

I don't recommend buying this machine unless you are happy to wait for 3 hours for a typical cycle to be finished. All of the cycles are long due to the way in which it senses the load. After much research, it appears that you are unable to turn this off. 3 hours is absurd for a daily wash. Only positive is that the machine is quieter than previous washing machines.

The machine is absolutely fine, I have used three programmes and it washes well. The continuous "happy song" at the end of the programme - which is a default and cannot be turned off !!!!! - is terrifying my two cats and annoying me. I am not happy with this sound, it is very intrusive and very, very, loud. (I have complained to Samsung about this.)

This is by far the best washing machine I’ve had. I love everything about it. It looks great and is so easy to use. I love the auto dose function. It means I can top up the softener and detergent and my daughter can easily put a load on whilst I’m at work. Infact she actually enjoys doing the washing. It is her chosen chore since we got this machine. She possibly likes having a dance to very long tune it plays at the end. She actually sent me a tik tok of someone dancing to it. The main thing is though it washes and spins really well ,is quiet when on, has loads of different settings and I particularly like the fact it tells you the weight each setting is for. The other great feature is it tells you when a drum clean is required having had this for only a couple of months used pretty much everyday I’ve already done a drum clean. I have to say my old machine was lucky to get one once a year. It actually has a drum clean setting aswel so it’s very easy to do. I would honestly recommend this to anyone. Well worth the money.

Likes: yet to be determined re. issues but Samsung Chat support team very helpful - and my wife likes it - and it's she who will be using it after all! Dislikes: machine exceptionally heavy to manoeuvre for install with compound feet which make moving into position extremely difficult. Drain hose for plumbing-in to waste system exceptionally short and brittle/inflexible, so had to rearrange utility room appliances layout to get this done (previous machine - Siemens - had long flexible hose which made it much easier). Location of serial number for registration of product for extended warranty not obvious and not where documentation says it is (inside load door faceplate) so had to contact Samsung support - it's on a very small QR code on upper left of front casing along with the Smart Things sticker! Settings take a bit of getting used to (set up for each cycle type). Haven't been able to get WiFi set up yet - if continuing issue may well be time to contact Samsung support again! Early days (3 days in) so have said would recommend, but only just!

You can set the cycle to end just as you're coming home, so that it's ready for you to finish exactly when you need it to. Once you get used to the App you can make your own washing process. Change the spin speed, extra rinse, you are in control. But you have to be logged in to your Samsung account for the App to work. My clothes have never been better.
I recommended this product.
