I never knew I could get so excited about drying my washing, and perfect timing for the colder months. My old machine cost me a fortune, you set the timer and temperature and watched the energy meter spin. This dryer however uses a heat pump, which dries your clothes with a gentle heat and although the drying cycle takes a little longer it is so much cheaper than my old machine. It looks great, I love the colour, the pictures do not do it justice. It has a nice big door to make loading easier and a clever double filter that is very easy to clean and it reminds you to do so every time you switch on. And who knew I needed a light inside my tumble dryer! Nothing gets missed when I empty it now. It has multiple cycles, whether you are doing a couple of shirts, or pile of towels or even just want to “air” some items. It’s very clever and efficient. It senses when the clothes are dry, so what you think may be a 3 hour cycle, finishes in an hour. Towels are so fluffy and soft, and there’s even a wrinkle prevention option to make clothes less creased. This dryer just makes life easier. The App is simple to use and helps you choose the correct cycle, if you need it, although the options are pretty straightforward. You can even link the washer and dryer within the app so that the dryer knows what cycle is required depending on which wash cycle you used, all very clever. I love that the App shows you how much energy the drying cycle used. I can’t believe how little that is. I would highly recommend this dryer, heat pumps are definitely the cheaper option in the long run.

I suggest downloading the full PDF manual. Even then, there were difficulties to resolve. For instance, establishing a Wi-Fi connexion to SmartThings was problematic because the instructions provided were unclear. Similarly, a rack is included which will be useful but the instructions for its use were confusing. I had never come across one before and tried drying clothes on the rack when this was unnecessary. It came away from the housing during a spin and I had to stop the cycle to prevent any damage to the drier. The drier looks stylishly modern and is packed with features. It is quiet running, has a great capacity of up to 9 kg and a choice of left or right door opening. The heat pump drier is more efficient and gentler at drying than condenser or vented alternatives and results in an energy efficiency ranking that is both green and economical in terms of electricity usage. My smart meter supported this, showing no drastic upward surges when using the machine. It is important to remove fluff after every drying and I found the lint box easy to deal with. The same is required of the water container which is located on the front of the drier at a very convenient level. A great improvement on other machines where you empty this at floor level. The control panel is uncluttered, very intuitive and easy to operate. There is a comprehensive list of cycles and additional functions that are accessed by scrolling through the control panel knob. There is a quick dry cycle that takes only 39 minutes as well as much longer, intensive cycles. An anti-wrinkle feature is available to stop clothing creasing. The hygiene care cycle can sanitise a load by eliminating almost all germs and dust mites. My first load produced poor results. I needed to use two additional cycles before the clothing was dry enough. I think I chose the wrong programme. Subsequent loads came out fresh and dry. The SmartThings app was useful because you can control your wash remotely. I have found the auto-cycle link with the washing machine excellent. This allowed the washing machine to recommend the right setting for tumble drying. It is an example of AI at its best, takes the hassle out of tumble-drying clothes and produced brilliant results. There is a learning curve to negotiate when using this appliance to maximum potential soit is worth sticking with it. This is an ultra-modern, intelligent tumble drier that I can thoroughly recommend. It is efficient, economical and impressively quiet in its operations.

Was a bit worried about heat pump dryers taking longer than other types, but as I had to get a new dryer, the lower cost of energy use was a more important factor in my decision. So, on the first use, when the recommended cycle came up with 3 hours, I admit I was a bit disappointed, but actually it finished a lot quicker, and the clothes were dry enough. This was true of the subsequent cycles, usually taking about an hour and half, despite initially coming up with over 3 hours, and that was with fairly full loads. It is also quiet, at least compared to my old dryer, the smart features are a nice to have rather than essential, and the 5 year warranty is also a reassurance, so happy to recommend this one.

I received this tumble dryer from Samsung for product testing purposes. I am really impressed with the efficiency and performance from this dryer. Our last dryer always seemed to heat up the room more than it was actually using heat to dry clothes - sometimes to uncomfortable levels. By contrast, this model manages to dry clothes and other articles in very quick times without the same issues. The generous drum size means that air circulates extremely well, even with larger loads. The smartlink feature is perfect for notifying us on the progress of the dryer as well as making choosing the right programme effortless. Highly recommended.

I received this washing machine / tumble dryer from Samsung for product testing purposes.’ My previous dryer was also a Samsung, but this is an improvement the single dial is more convenient for use and it is much quieter. Connecting to my phone was easy and great for controlling the dryer and notifying when complete. The design is very nice although I much preferred my old dryer cosmetically with the large smoked glass door. As regards features this dryer has it all and completes all cycles perfectly, particularly the wrinkle free function great for school blouses and shirts. I also like the clean filter notification every time you dry as it gently reminds you to clean the filter after each cycle something my last dryer lacked. The drying tray again is a great feature for trainers and woolen jumpers.The option to plumb or us draining tray is also a great option, I am lucky enough to be able to plumb and stops the hassle of emptying the draining tray. I also like the fact when the clothes are dry the cycle will finish early very energy efficient. Would I recommend yes without a doubt it is another great product from Samsung plus the five year guarantee is a bonus.

I received this tumble dryer from Samsung for product testing purposes. The dryer arrived really well packaged, which was great as this meant the dryer arrived in perfect condition. Once unpacked I had two decision to make, the first being which installation method to choose (whether to plumb in the dryer or to use the condenser) and second which side to have the door open. All of these are fantastic features which makes the tumble dryer even more versatile and appealing to customers. Once installed it was very easy to start using the dryer. The design of the dryer is wonderful and the drum looks really futuristic (pictures below). The interface and ease of selecting the drying cycle makes it so simple to use. I found using the Smart Things app made it even easier as you can select the clothing types and make a custom drying setting. You don’t have to be really tech savvy to use the app either which is great. While using the dryer I have found that clothes seem to dry a lot quicker and smell fresher. I am a massive fan of the Air Fresh setting as it means I don’t have to rewash clothes that I would have in the past and they come out fresh and ready to wear. Samsung have really taken their time in making this tumble dryer and that shows with the build quality and features such as even installing a light in the drum so you never miss an item again. We are a young family with a baby so have lots of little items which would usually have been left behind in our old dryer, this is no longer the case! I really don’t know how I ever lived without this product. Another nifty feature is the shelf that comes with the dryer that’s super easy to use and helps with drying shoes.

After research, I noticed that reverse tumble action is one of the most important function for cloth dryer, so I wanted to buy with that function to minimize wrinkles. However, this doesn't have that and I bought this. The reason is efficient dry (w/ AI function) with moderate humidity would perform better in terms of qualities (clothes damage protection, minimization wrinkles, etc). It perfectly works and well connected with my mobile, so I can get notice when it's done. Also it's value for money. Highly recommend for those who need quality dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this tumble dryer from Samsung for product testing purposes. I’ve been using my new Samsung tumble dryer for 2 weeks now and felt it’s a good time to write my review after putting it through it paces with a number of cycles. Installation and setup was very simple with easy to grip levelling feet, once plugged in and turned on it welcomes you with a demonstration of its features and tells you what all the buttons do via the LCD screen. A nice little feature which may get overlooked is having the option to hinge the door either side of the machine to make it easy loading from your washing machine directly into the tumble dryer if they are next to each other. Paring to the Samsung ‘Smartthings’ app is straight forward (already had a Samsung account) but as soon as I opened the app on my phone it instantly found the tumble dryer and paired. Performance – With our previous tumble dryers they’ve nearly always failed to dry the clothes fully at the end of the cycle even with a humidity sensor built in but the Samsung gets it correct every time and no need to put it on for an extra 15 or 30 mins. Love the drying rack that came with the dryer which can be installed in the middle of the drum to dry shoes or our kids plush toys without them getting beaten up by the motion of the drum. Bonus feature, if you have a compatible Samsung smart washing machine, when paired to this tumble dryer they “talk” to each other and the tumble dryer will automatically create the correct drying cycle based upon what you set the washing machine to, I’ve never had to press a single button on the dryer other than ‘Start’. The best bit is cost to run (If coming from a condenser/vented dryer to a heat pump) – We have gone from using a condenser dryer to the new Samsung dryer which uses heat pump technology, based upon our usage (approx. 4-6 loads a week) it will save us around £100 per year on our energy bill. I was a sceptic at first and thought it was just another marketing tactic but I have an energy monitor on the tumble dryer plug socket which has showed me these savings, so in a way it will pay for itself over the coming years. Overall another great product by Samsung and clearly showing they are leading the way in large kitchen appliance technology.

Extremely energy efficient with 9-star energy rating. It comes with AI cycle work well with Smart things. It calculates what the machine requires time, and it is handy the machine recognises optimum times to allow best drying times for those who prefer to iron shirts. The machine come with water container, I tried it took about 3 loads to fill up the tank. The dryer works quiet, and it come with lighting inside the tumble. The last thing, it helps a lot for my wife. especially she is doing lots of Ironing clothes and she is very happy with this dryer.

The tumble dryer looks very good, quiet when running and doesn’t use a lot of electricity. Most drying is done with only 0.8-1.5kW of power used which means that it’s cheap enough not to worry about using it. Helps to keep the house dry by not hanging clothes. The integration with smart things is brilliant and having a washing machine from the same family means that we only having to open the washing machine and switch on the dryer and it knows what program to use. Highly recommend it to anyone. However do keep in mind that it’s not easy or cheap to find someone to repair it, however the extra expense pays for itself in energy savings as opposed to a standard condenser dryer

It’s still only been a couple of days and so far I have only tried 2 different cycles of which this product has numerous. I’ve set up Smarter things App which took a minute. It’s worked well on both cycles so far. It’s quieter than my previous dryer. It did however not come with a manual of the control panel settings and what button does what it only came with a Heat pump Dryer booklet which this information is not included. So far so good

I have only had my dryer for one day, but it looks amazing and is really quiet. There is a bit of a smell at the moment, but Will at Samsung assured me that this was normal and that it would go away. Have used it to dry my swimming towel and it was great for that. The only thing I will say is that it is deeper than than the 600 indicated on the website, as they do not include the door which sticks out a bit further.

It takes some getting used to (compared to condenser tumble dryers) but the heat pump technology is awesome! On its own merits, I would probably rate it 9 to 9.5 out of 10: it’s amazing technology, and it definitely works; I can’t vouch for the energy savings claims made about them, as I didn’t do a proper before-and-after comparison myself, but I don’t have any reasons to doubt them. The only thing to keep in mind about them is that every so often (about once a month) you have to clean the heat exchanger (remove the accumulated lint, etc. to prevent it from impacting its performance) … it’s not a big job, but quite awkward on ours as the heat exchanger is at the bottom of the unit.

I decided on a Samsung dryer after much research and picked the series 9 has it ticked all the boxes for me, so far it's been a great choice cheap to run, quiet and most things come out dry. It's faster than I expected after reading reviews about the extended drying times of heat pump dryers and to be honest it's not much different than our old vented dryer. Once you choose a program it may say 3 hours to dry but it adjust the time using moisture sensor and rarely takes long than 1 hour. If there's one negative it does tangle duvet covers so you need to occasionally stop the cycle and unravel but that was the same with our old dryer. With the 5 year guarantee I would recommend this dryer.

I was excited to change my old vented dryer to a Samsung heat pump. The first few cycles were great as the dryer is quiet and efficient. However the problem started when I dried bedding. It just rolls into a ball and middle stays damp. You have to keep pulling sheets out every 15 minutes to untangle the ball and then resuming the cycle. I've tried drying the sheets separately but this doesn't work. My very old Hotpoint dryer used to switch between a forward and reverse cycle which stopped this from happening. It's a shame this offering from Samsung has failed on such a simple but vital point.

Dan antara ciri penting mesin pengering ni, tak menyebabkan ruangan mesin menjadi panas bila beroperasi. Ciri ini yang saya paling tekankan kalau nak beli mesin pengering baju. Yang lagi bagus sebab mesin pengering ni boleh disambung dengan apps Smartthing. Jadi saya boleh tengok berapa lama lagi mesin pengering ni beroperasi tanpa perlu melihat di mesin pengering tersebut. Hasil keringan juga memang mantap. Tak menyesal beli. Memang kalau kawan-kawan nak beli pengering yang harga berpatutan tapi mantap, belilah mesin pengering ni.

I have had no issues with this tumble dryer. It’s been efficient in terms of the electricity as it senses when the washing is dry and reduces the drying time accordingly. The filter is very easy to clean and the water drawer is capacious and easy to empty. The drum is of a good size and the app makes it easy to control. The only downsides for me are that 1) I wish there was a ‘manual’ control. The dryer seems to be too automated in certain circumstances. It would be a good idea to be able to extend the drying time if things aren’t quite dry enough, for example; 2) A timer function on the dryer/app would be helpful to set it running at night for example, or when there’s lower price electricity.

Really disappointed with this tumble dryer. I specifically wanted a dryer with a bed linen programme so that my bed linen would dry properly and not get tangled. The so called bedding programme on this dryer does not have a reverse tumble so everything ends up in a ball and doesn’t dry evenly. This has been an expensive mistake.

Very frustrating experiencing the same drying issues as a customer below. Really terrible at drying bedding. I’ve had my sheets/duvet on for 4 HOURS now and they’re still not dry, which is ridiculous. I’ve just given up my old hot point dryer which was years old and I could wash/dry my bedding in 2hrs and then get it back on my bed. It’s 9pm and I’m still waiting for my duvet to dry. Why isn’t this tumble dryer hot?? It’s just barely warm. It rolls the duvet into a tight ball which won’t dry. There is almost no temperature control. I’m extremely disappointed with this machine.

Got both dryer and washer — got them pulled out/repaired almost twice within warranty. That’s how low samsung models in terms of quality. Heater — in less than 2 years of usage (rarely for kid’s clothes only) this most expensive part has to be changed. When pulled out, we found out the repair person changed some original parts of our unit and changed to old parts maybe also taken from other broken units. That’s how we found out we could not trust samsung to cover any warranty and have the units pulled out. Might as well ask the repair man to do it at home in front of ua watching.

DON'T BUY THIS. It's a complete failure of design. The heat exchanger is impossible to clean as instructed, the fins are so flimsy they move the moment you touch them with the brush you're asked to use. Lint gets caked on and you can't remove it. I wish I had checked before buying this because the chat sites are full of users complaining about how impossible it is to clean the heat exchanger. The troubleshooting section in the booklet even tells you that you can't expect the waistbands for your trousers to be dry. What's the point of buying a dryer if your clothes come out damp?

This is a really clever machine that uses heat pump technology to dry clothes rather than conventional method. Which takes a little longer but better less harsh on your clothes and much cheaper to run. You can choose your cycle by twisting the dial or using the app, really straightforward either way. I’ve found that there are lots of little extras like the wrinkle prevention, and warm air dry. My wife loves the light inside , so you never leave anything behind. I didn’t need to external vent this as it has a tank for collecting the water. I keep forgetting to clean the filter after use but it reminds you when you turn on anyway. It has a clever sensor that adjusts the time needed to dry the load , so you think it will take a while and then it’s suddenly finished. The washing comes out nice and soft and dry, towels are like new. Pleasantly surprised how good it is. Would recommend to anyone who wants an economical way to dry clothes. It has a sensor that reduces the time if the clothes

I have been holding off buying a heat pump dryer to replace the good old trusty Simpson dryer. Finally bit the bullet because I got sick of leaving the door open to run the dryer. Anyway, this heat pump dryer has exceed my expectations! So many reviews say they don't dry properly and take too long, however I havent found that at all! A load of towels drys within 2 hours.. almost the same as running the good old Simpson on half heat. The app works great and it's nice to see how much energy the dryer is using. Similar in noise level to a normal dryer. Plenty of different settings that I'll continue to learn how to use. I'll be even more impressed if it can live as along as the dryer it replaces. Definitely recommend!

So far unused but I had a Samsung heat pump dryer before so know the drying times etc. Quick and easy set up for smart things, it even connected it to the Wifi through the app so no pushing numerous buttons on the App. App seems easy to use, bit annoying you need to hit start on the machine, but figure this is a safety feature (never ever use a dryer if your not in the house). Previous dryer didnt have a favourites feature which as we use the same setting for everything other than delicates, is a bonus. As everything Samsung the price is higher than others but I've found them more durable than other makers. Only down is the manual provided could be more complete, shouldnt have to go to the web to see how all the settings work.

This dryer has been nothing but a blessing in our home. For a heat pump dryer the drying times are great and the sensors inside ensure that if there is no moisture in my clothing the machine will shorten the drying time and/or shut off when clothes are dry. The Smarthings connectivity also allows me to monitor my electricity and usage of the dryer itself which is really handy with these electricity price hikes lately. I mostly always use the Mixed Load setting and it states that my clothes will dry in around 3 hours but I'll be honest, a full load 8kg is usually finishes in around 2 hours which is great. This machine is an all-round amazing product and both my partner and I are glad we purchased to help with our drying and laundry loads.

I’ve had this dryer over a year and overall for the majority of small items and regular sized towels it works well, but for bedding the performance is very poor. The dryer does not reverse tumble! It runs continuously in one direction and as a result when you try and dry large items such as bedding the sheets and duvet end up rolling into a tight ball. Unless you have time to stop the dryer 3 or 4 times during to cycle empty the contents and untangle everything then the centre of the ball will never dry. You end up putting the bedding on multiple times which is very inefficient and time consuming. I couldn’t recommend the product and wouldnt buy another Samsung based on this design. I would definitely look for one that has reverse action tumble.

I had heard mixed reviews - in general - about Heat Pump dryers - so was a tad anxious. However, things couldn't be better. The Samsung has been a joy. If I was to fault something, I find if I have a towel in the mix with normal washing that the drying can be a bit inconsistent - but expect that would happen with any dryer. Also I think it’s just a bit complicated menu wise when you want to put it only only a certain number of minutes - I’m not sure if I’ve actually found that menu item yet.

ITs smart feature measures the load and dries as required. No need for exhaust and doesnt steam up the laundry room. The large water container gets all the water from cloths and easy to dispose the water after drying. Its very quite for a dryer. Quick dry option is really useful for less load drying. AirWash gives cloths a plesent smell and fell. I do airwash the cloths after sun drying it. With my previous dryer, i can feel that the cloths get very dry and cloths were losing its tenderness. With this smart dryer, it just dries to the right limit and cloths feel fresh and retains the newly washed smell. Overall i am happy to have bought this dryer and its a good invesment.

The dryer is easy to use and works efficiently. Filter and dehumidifier filter are easy to clean using provided tool. The problem is the Smart Things App it just wants to download a device controller but says it can’t and to try later. I’ve been trying for a couple of days, but there is over a years worth of complaints once you search on line. I would recommend to a friend who didn’t want the tech features, but why pay extra for stuff that doesn’t work?

with recent wet and cold weather, the dryer is a lifesaver! Good capacity, relatively quiet and cheap to run. Use it daily and after 10 months of use - only positive feedback. The only odd thing - looks like it doesn't have a scheduled/delayed start option, neither from the menu nor the app (?!) . I can live without it, but this is very strange for a "smart" device in 2022. Would be good to have a "shoes" program too or be able to create it manually.

Product is really quiet and dries clothes, although need to add some extra time as waist bands of joggers still tend to be a little damp when the ai function says it's time to remove clothes. Smart things only works with 2.4hz wifi so I'm unable to connect as my router is only single band and set to 5hz. Love the fact it drains straight into waste pipe so saves me having to empty the water tank after every use.

Sheets end up in a ball still wet every time. I have to take them out several times during a cycle to untangle them. I have tried all the tips recommended on the forum, nothing works. It seems to be a common problem unfortunately. Gutted that I paid so much for a machine that barely does its job. I was excited for the energy saving but sometimes I have to run things 2-3 times before they are dry, or hang them up damp to air dry.

This is the best dryer on the market. I already had a heat pump dryer and had saved loads of electricity in the few years I had it so decided to upgrade to the latest Samsung heat pump. It's worth the cost! I love being able to follow the dryer cycle through the app and also track how much energy it's using. Even over my old Grundig heat pump dryer this Samsung is using ¼ less power! Now it costs me hardly anything to dry a load.

The heat exchanger is very difficult to clean. You need to get down on your hands and knees to clean the moist fluf out of it. I'm also worried I damage it as it looks quite delicate and the machine itself was expensive. Features are good and power consumption is excellent. Takes a bit longer than your standard tumble dryer but willing to live with that. I wouldn't recommend this machine to individuals with mobility issues.

I received this tumble dryer from Samsung for product testing purposes. For someone who only ever used a tumble dryer to air the clothes and towels after air drying, I find this dryer to be excellent to dry towels direct from washing which leaves them soft and fluffy. It is really intuitive to use with lots of options that are customisable. I can't wait to dry slippers and trainers on the rack after I wash them.

It has great connectivity via the smart things app but it’s a shame you cannot control it fully from there. This dryer is BAD! and…! My first one failed after only 2 months and flooded my laundry (It’s a heap pump dryer) the water pump fails in these models! I got a replacement the model down DV80T5420 (there was no stock of my original model) and same thing happened after 2 months! LISTEN TO ME DO NOT BUY THIS TRASH! Unless you like dealing with Samsung every 2 months and dealing with a flooded laundry!

We've had this dryer six months now and while towels come out fluffy, it's useless for sheets. They bundle up into a tight ball inside the biggest sheet and nothing dries, due it tumbling in one direction only. Not impressed, as really not fit for purpose seeing as we purchased it mainly for the sheets over winter. Our old basic 15-year-old sensor dryer from a different brand did a better job.

The dryer is great except it’s impossible to dry bed linen in it. This was one of the main things I purchased it for. I have tried different settings. I have even tried drying my sheets in one load and then the duvet cover (all buttoned up) in another. Oh my gosh, this machine insists on rolling them up into the tightest ball!! Dryer balls don’t help. How do I dry bed linen????

It doesn't 'bake' your clothes or towels, and there's no static like a normal dryer. And, the moisture is collected by the drawer in the machine so there's no dampness in your laundry or house. It's well worth the extra money!

I bought this for my Nan who is 92. She is happy with the control and function, which is intuitive and easy to use. However, a potential issue for similar buyers is that the lint filter clip is quite tight and she had difficulty releasing the clip. Otherwise and efficient and quiet tumble dryer. She loves the rack feature that allows her to dry items without tumbling them.

Love love love. I live in a townhouse with an internal laundry closet, no airflow, just a small extractor fan. This dryer is amazing for the space. It is stacked on my Samsung washer. It does not create any humidity, it's all contained in the machine. I use the water compartment and empty it after each dry. Super easy to use, dries clothes nicely, doesn't shrink clothes!

The Hoover dryer lasted 2 years and then give up on the ghost. It was also hugely inefficient which during the time energy prices were rising, was not good. After lasting two years, my wife and I decided we were going to spend a little more and get a quality product. As a lover of all Samsung products, this was the first manufacturer I thought of. I didnt realise they offer dryers with heat pump technology. We decided on that immediately as it was A+++ energy rated compared to the Hoover that was Energy rated C. We had the Samsung dryer for a few weeks now and what a difference it's made. Everything from the build quality, to the technology, to the feel, the noise when on was superior in every way to the Hoover. It was definately worth paying a little extra and saving hugely on our energy builds forever. No brainer. It is another amazing product from Samsung.

For heavens sake! Who let the scientists design the controls on this thing? It's actually a brilliant machine but simple oprations like programming it to start during a cheap tariff period are mind bogglingly tortuous. Firstly, you can't say 'start at'. You can only say finish at! Then you would think to 'time' the programme you would press the 'timer' symbol? Nope. You press the additional function symbol, then turn the dial until 'delay the end' option comes up. You then have to remember how long the programme is (it's no longer displayed at this point) work out how long it is between now and when your cheapo tariff starts then add in the length of the programme, round it up ('cos it only works in hours) and twiddle the dial again until the requisite number of hours shows. Utterly bewildering as to why anyone would think this is good design. On the plus side, it's quiet, eifficient and saves us a fortune compared to our 30 year old zannussi!

Got the heat pump dryer because I liked the AirWash feature that is advertised with this feature with a picture of it . There is no * saying only on some models. You have to go down to the bottom of the page and tap on features to see it is not listed with this feature. Most of the dryers showing this as a feature do not have it.

Amazing dryer in terms of functionality and connectivity, zero complaints on those aspects. But longevity is questionable. It's perhaps been two years at most and already it's making rough noises that are possibly due to the drum rollers failing. Quite disappointing given the expense and typical household usage of this machine.

Superb tumble dryer, delivering massive energy saving over our previous vented tumble dryer...... Why we didn't upgrade sooner I do not know. It is definitely slower to dry than the vented dryer it replaced but that minor downside is more than made up for by the energy cost savings and the fact it is also gentler on the clothes.

It’s got lots of great settings. All of the ones I’ve used so far have worked perfectly. The lint collector is easy to clean and the condenser is at the top so you don’t have to bend down to get it out. It is really long though. There is a light which comes on inside the drum when the door is opened which is really helpful too.

Is 0 stars an option? Because I don’t even want to give this 1 star. I bought this dryer 2 years ago. It started making horrible clunking noises due to a faulty bearing 5months or so in. After months of issues and then having our dryer for nearly a month we finally had it returned only to have scuffed, marked and looking second hand from the repairer. No one would take any responsibility for it. Not the repair agents nor Samsung. After all of this the same issue presented itself again recently. After months of back and forward with Samsung they finally agreed to replace it. In the meantime I couldn’t even use it due to the fault being so loud it woke my baby. Not only do I not recommend this product, I don’t recommend Samsung as a brand, and will promptly tell everyone I know that they should not buy from Samsung! Get your service together Samsung. What a shame that my hard earned money I spent on your machine meant I couldn’t even dry my clothes properly for months.

We wanted a heat pump tumble dryer to help reduce humidity in our house over the winter and not have to plumb it in or vent it outside, while being energy efficient. While it's early days it has been excellent so far. It looks great, was easy to setup and should be a big help to our family over the coming years.

I’ve had this tumble dryer for about a month and bought it to replace my vented dryer which I had for 15 years. This Samsung heat pump dryer is not fit for purpose as it won’t dry the clothes and keeps telling me to empty the tank when it’s empty already every 5 mins and plumbed directly to the waste!

Decent technically, stuff comes out dry, it’s energy efficient and hasn’t shrunk anything, but the buttons are horrific. Every button takes a second plus to respond. I hate using it. Also I can’t connect it to my WiFi as it insists it’s a washing machine and it fails to progress through the app.

Overall it does the job and is definitely an upgrade over our previous dryer. But having a button to cycle through available programs is clunky, and definitely a downgrade in usability compared to the Samsung washing machine we have right next to it. And the other reason for dropping the start is that having the same musical tone on both the Samsung washers and dryers is just dumb and Samsung really need to add a way to change that tone. Before our old dryer broke we could always hear when the washing machine finished, that little jingle at the end of the cycle is a great feature. But now we have the exact same jingle on both the washer and dryer, with no way to know which one we just heard. So half the time it's just the dryer finishing and we've still got to wait for the washing machine. Since there's no way to change it, we just end up wasting trips back & forth. It's a minor point, but it's annoying enough that I wouldn't buy a matching pair of Samsung laundry products again.

This has been a step up from our old condensor dryer. So quiet. Familiar to use (we have a Samsung washing machine with almost identical menus and operation). And the clothes come out feeling fresh and dry. We plumbed this unit in too so no need to empty the water drawer either. Brilliant.

We’ve had this heat pump dryer for one year now, using it regularly. It’s very good indeed, very efficient and leaves clothes ready to hang or iron ( for smart shirts). I have learned that for duvet cover drying, adding a dry clean towel to the load helps to stop it knotting-up into a ball.

Absolute rubbish had a night mare with this dryer from day one the door wouldn’t close properly weeks to get somebody out from Samsung and now after two years it’s stopped altogether and Samsung can’t even provide an engineer to repair it. My advice would be never to buy a Samsung again

This has been performing well so far. It saved me lots of time hanging the clothes to dry and most importantly the clothes wouldn't shrink not like other 2 in 1 washing machine dryer. Also, it doesn't take 3 hours to dry as it as AI function to monitor the humidity. Great product!

The five year warranty and the Which? review were the clinchers. Now that it is here, we are really pleased with the dryer. How did we manage before without it. It is quiet with a reassuring hum and even dries woollen clothes without any shrinkage. Would definitely recommend.

Makes me realise how bad my last dryer was. Easy to use, fairly quiet and dries quickly for a condenser. Water tray is small so if not connecting to drainage then it will need emptying after 2 cycles. Also I wish I could control the temp but have not seen many dryers that do this

Great tumble dryer which connects and provide suggestions (via its AI capability) for the best mode with any washing coming out of the samsung washing machine, through the smartthing app. The tumble dryer is also very quiet and get the clothes well dried. Highly recommended.

I bought this about 6mths ago and for the most expensive machines I've ever bought I'm not happy at all...it swirls my sheets or blankets around into a ball and middle doesn't dry so much for efficient I need to do drying twice. The washing machine is not much better..

It’s a great dryer dries my washing lovely with sensor drying. Also uses less than half the electricity of my previous dryer. Very useful features the dryer messages my phone when it’s completed saves me having to keep checking I would recommend this dryer.

Bought the tumble dryer as mine was 15 years old and costly to run. this tumble tryer is cheap to run and very quiet. The are many programs that can be used and the all seem to dry the clothes well. Yes I would recommend this tumble dryer.
