Recently bought this induction cooktop, two main reasons the Flex Zone which works great and the wifi connectivity which is pretty poor. The only thing the wifi app can do is tell you if it's on/off and which settings you have selected on the cooktop. The menu part of the app are just generic recipes that you could have googled yourself from the web nothing specifically related to this cooktop. I would suggest if you are like me and wanted those features (which I thought Samsung would be all over) pay the extra money and get a NEF.

This product replaced a 5-ring gas hob which operated well but cleaning it was a job in itself. The Samsung Flex is a revelation, so quick to heat up, very responsive and the clean up is a breeze. Worth the money for the time it saves cooking and cleaning, plus the bonus of how streamline it looks vs the bulk of the gas rings.

I purchased the 80cm Black Induction Cooktop with Flex Zone Plus about three weeks ago, and overall, I’m very satisfied with my decision. The sleek black surface is not only modern but also easy to clean. The minimalist design fits perfectly in my new kitchen, and I appreciate the touch controls that are intuitive to use. The cooking performance has been outstanding. The Flex Zone Plus feature is a game changer, allowing me to use larger pots and pans or even multiple smaller ones at the same time without any issues. The heating is quick and efficient, which has cut down my cooking time significantly. I love how precise the temperature control is. I can simmer sauces gently or boil water in no time. The boost function is particularly useful when I need to heat something rapidly. The safety features, such as the child lock and automatic shut-off, provide peace of mind, especially with kids around. The only downside I’ve noticed is that some cookware doesn’t work as well, so I had to invest in compatible pots and pans. Additionally, the surface can scratch if you’re not careful with the utensils. Overall, I highly recommend the 80cm Black Induction Cooktop with Flex Zone Plus for anyone looking to upgrade their cooking experience. It’s efficient, stylish, and versatile, making it a valuable addition to any kitchen.

This isn't a cheap product and Samsung is normally a reliable brand. However, this product is a let down. It claims to be wifi and "Smart Things" enabled, but the functionality is so pointless, it's a gimmick, and definitely not worthy of the premium price tag. The "Smart" functionality is limited to viewing whether the appliance is on or off, and viewing how long is left on any timer you set. There is no control functionality whatsoever! You can't set a timer via the app, you can't edit an already running timer via the app, and you can't turn off the hob via the app either. Making it pretty redundant and non-functioning imo. How many people want to see that their hob is on or off when they should know that if they already started cooking? And the hob turns itself off automatically anyway if no pan is on, or if the power level isn't changed for some time! So like I said, the "Smart" claims by Samsung for this product is a gimmick. I also bought the NK24C9804WB hood to go with this hob. But the connectivity between the 2 isn't that good either. Moving on to the normal functionality of what you'd expect from a hob. It heats up pans very quickly. But my main gripe is with the flex zone plus. There are 4 joined heating zones which you're supposed to be able to control individually. In reality you can control the top 2 zones as one and the bottom 2 zones as one. So it's effectively like having a standard 4 ring hob. It says in the manual you can use the middle 2 zones, the top 3 zones, bottom 3 zones, or all 4 together. And you press a button to cycle through these various options, but there's no visual indicator to tell you which zones are on and which are not. So you're left guessing and hoping you selected the right option, or the hob has recognised that you have a compatible pan there. All in all, Samsung could've done so much better with the design of this product considering the price. 2 stars cause it looks sleek and I like the magnetic control knob, as opposed to a digital touch slider. And I didn't receive an incentive? (i.e. Received a free sample, Received compensation, or participated in a consumer research study).* but there's no other option than "YES" for thar question. Unless they're counting the 5 year guarantee as an incentive.
