I bought this less month ago. I don't think the first review is accurate. Maybe there is wrong with the installation of his aircon that is why he gave it a 1star review. So let me give my honest review. The things that I love about this air conditioner is that this is a latest model of their windfree AC. It has an PM 1.0 filter so it gives you the AC functionality with the Air Purifier as an added service. I bought a 1Hp AC and I can say that it really works well. My room cools fast. I set it for about an hour or less to cool and fast mode then after that to ECO mode to save energy. With the use of the SmartThings App I can easily control my AC and monitor how much consumption I used. For me who is a bit tech savvy this feature is one of the consideration why I bought this AC. Another function that I want in this AC is the windfree mode which is good for my neck and back. I can't stand a direct hit from a wind from my fan so when I learned that samsung has this technology I decided to choose this model even though other brand like carrier and panasonic is on sale also. This is a bit pricy compared to other model but I bought it on sale on SM Appliance Center. The original price is Php 51k but I bought it for Php 36k and have it less more for 2k because I have the SM advantage card. So the total price is around Php34k. The design was sleek. A bit longer for 1hp ACs but still I love the design. The energy consumption is low. I consume 3.6KwH on 16hrs of usage. I also measured my consumption if I use it for a short time and as a result for 6hrs of usage I consumed 2KwH. So basically, use it for a longer period so that you can efficiently maximize and save more energy instead of turning it on and off. I might write again a review after a year if this AC will last and be the same. Disclaimer: This is only an initial review and I will do a 1year later review.

I bought a 2.5hp model intended for a 25sqm area. I think though that a 2.0hp would suffice. Nevertheless, after the installer turned on the aircon, the whole area cooled down in a matter of about 3 minutes. This aircon is really strong! I received my guests (about 6 of them) after an hour and they noticed that the aircon distributes cold air evenly. I told them it is because of the tiny holes and the "wind-free" function. They were all amazed by that! Even if there are 7 of us in the room, the temperature remained constant. We felt the cool surroundings even if my setting is at 23degC! I did not regret buying this aircon but I will still check how much is the energy consumption because my bill is not out yet. Will check if the digital inverter sticks to its promise of lower energy costs. I cannot connect my unit though to the Smarthings app. I don't know why.

Purchase 1.5HP Wind free Plus > Design is Modern. > Outdoor unit generates loud noise during operation. [As per service center it is normal operation] > Indoor unit: noticeable fan noise to extremely loud noise when operating in medium to turbo air fan. [As per service center it is normal operation] > Inconsistent cooling, - if you set your desire temperature at 21 degrees celsius, after reaching the desired temperature it will cool again once the room reaches 25-28 degrees celsius. [As per service center it is normal operation because of the build-in sensor of the unit] > Unit performance is not good because it takes a longer period of time to reach the desired temperature. > App is great you can monitor the indoor temperature of the room and the desired temperature also the estimated electric consumption. > Remote doesn't have a backlight so it is useless when you don't have enough light in your room.

My stepson had the windfree units placed in home i found the unit to not be user friendly and do not do anything serious waste of money me and his mother and me both have breathing issues and these units dont help when you cant operate them
