Is my Samsung Gear device compatible with iOS mobile device?

Last Update Date : Jan 12. 2018

Samsung supports that Gear S2, S3, Fit2 are compatible with iOS device from 12:00 7th Jan 2017 (PST)* (*05:00 AM 8th Jan 2017, KST).

To connect your Gear device and iOS device, firstly your device need to download Samsung Gear app

from Apple App Store and to install on device.

And, we strongly recommend to update your Gear to the latest software version before connection.

Compatible device lists are iPhone 5 or later based on iOS 9.0 or higher version.

(The device lists may change without notice and some features may not be available depending on the

region or service provider)

In case of iPhone 6S, 6S+ upgraded to iOS 10.x version, the connection between device and Gear may

be unstable due to firmware issue of iPhone 6S, 6S+ and it can be often disconnected in some situations.

At that time, we recommend to disconnect with all devices paired to Gear device. Then, restart it again

after turning off the Bluetooth feature.
