TV Accessibility

The Voice Guide function is highlighted in the Accessibility Shortcut screen.

Vision

Voice Guide

Voice Guide enables the television to read on-screen text back to you and provides verbal feedback about the selected volume, current channel and programme information. It also reads aloud all the text displayed in the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG). Voice Guide works for every menu on the TV, and you can also adjust the pitch and tone of the Voice Guide to suit your preferences.

A speech bubble describes the current channel number indicated on the simulated TV display.

High Contrast

High Contrast mode configures the TV to display all menus with an opaque black background and a white or yellow font. This provides you with maximum contrast and visibility of the text, and is extremely useful if you have any form of visual impairment.

A menu screen with the High Contrast feature enabled is shown.

Enlarge enables you to see important information on the screen with a larger or zoomed-in effect.

A menu screen with the Englarge feature enabled is shown.

Learn Menu Screen

Learn the menus on the TV screen. Once enabled, your TV will tell you the structure and features of the menus you select.

The Accessibility Guidance button is highlighted on the e-Manual screen.

Grayscale

You can change the colour of the TV screen to a black and white tone to sharpen blurred edges caused by colours.

A black and white tone is applied to both the open Picture settings window and the TV program being played on a simulated display.

Colour Inversion

You can invert the colours of the text and background displayed on the TV screen to make it easier to read them.

A menu screen is displayed with inverted colours allowing for easier reading of text.

Hearing

Multi-output Audio

Multi-output Audio gives you the flexibility to configure the television audio output when Bluetooth® headphones are connected to the TV. You can choose to have audio directed to multiple devices with independent volume control. If one member of your family has hearing difficulties and needs to listen through their own headphones, Multi-output Audio facilitates this without automatically disabling the audio from the TV speakers.

The Multi-output Audio function is highlighted in the Accessibility Shortcut screen.

Sign Language Zoom

Sign Language Zoom automatically recognizes and enlarges the sign language area for the hearing-impaired. You can specify a sign language area and adjust the magnification. Visually impaired viewers can also use this function to zoom in on a specific area.

A live news broadcast is being played on a TV. The news broadcast is being translated by a sign language interpreter. The on-screen interpreter window has been automatically enlarged so the interpreter can be seen more clearly for viewers.

Physical Disabilities

Remote Button Repeat Settings

Press and hold one button on the remote control to perform a continuous operation and lower the speed. This is useful for slowing down the continuous operation of channel/volume, or for slowing down the movement of items in a horizontal or vertical list.

The Remote Button Repeat Settings window is open on a simulated TV display playing a TV show. Slow Button Repeat may be toggled on or off through the menu. Repeat intervals can be adjusted in the sub menu.
