The role of Particulate Matter
Particulate Matter (PM) is an air pollutant and are used as key quality indicators of indoor environments⁴. Three classifications:
PM₁₀
PM₁₀ particles can be stopped when they enter the throat.
- Pollen
- Desert dust
PM₂.₅
PM₂.₅ particles can be stopped in the lungs and alveoil.
- Pollen
- Mold spores
- Toner dust
PM₁
PM₁ particles travel to the deepest parts of the lungs.

PM1.0 filter (Washable)
has an electrostatic precipitator to:
- Capture ultra-fine dust (up to 0.3µm) by giving the particles a positive charge to strongly attach to the negative plate
- Sterilise certain types of bacteria captured on the filter⁶
Pre-filter
captures large dust particles, stopping them from entering the unit
Indoor air quality levels can be known and monitored easily with the Air Purity Levels Indicator display on the Air Purification Panel and via an optional wired remote controller.⁷
