On-device Bixby

Control the refrigerator easily with just your voice. Built-in voice recognition capabilities allow you to speak commands and ask for information using Samsung Bixby*. So, even if your hands are full, you can control the settings and select functions. You can also use it to get recipe ideas and status updates on your other appliances or ask it to show instructional videos on the screen, like how to change the water filter.

*A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required. You must use the same log-in account on each of the devices.

Open the fridge effortlessly! The fridge’s Auto Open Doors have touch sensors. When you lightly touch the sensor with the palm or the back of your hand the doors automatically open. It enables convenient access to your food even when your hands are full. And, with no handles sticking out, it has a stylishly seamless appearance.

* You can select the door opening level using the SmartThings App (SmartThings is available on Android and iOS devices. A Wi-Fi connection and a Samsung account are required). The ‘Wide-open’ option automatically opens the door by an angle of 80 degrees or more, but the door does not close automatically. The ‘Semi-open’ option reduces the force required to open the door, and automatically closes the door after a certain period of time if the door is left open. The actual angle that the doors open may vary due to the installation circumstances and usage conditions, like storing heavy items in the door bins.

AI Energy 10%

Reduce your energy use by up to 10%* with AI Energy mode**. In Maximum mode, AI energy is always on and in Custom mode, if your estimated electricity bill exceeds your pre-set target it operates AI Energy Mode automatically, optimising the compressor speed and defrost cycle, based on your usage pattern and surroundings.

SmartThings Energy

SmartThings Energy* provides helpful tips on how to be more energy efficient and will notify you if your smart appliances** are accidentally left on. It also lets you easily monitor the energy consumption of devices in real-time, and compare it to the previous month. In addition, you can set monthly targets and receive alerts if they are likely to be exceeded.

AI Inverter Compressor

Keep food consistently cool and save energy. The new high-efficiency AI Inverter Compressor’s improved structure increases the radius of the rotating parts. Its increased inertia, which is 4.1x higher than a Samsung conventional compressor*, means it can operate for longer using less energy. Using an AI algorithm, it also adjusts the speed of the compressor to suit the user’s usage patterns and save energy**. The compressor’s durability is also backed-up by a 20 year warranty.

* Based on internal testing, verified by UL Solutions, a global independent safety science company. At 1100 rpm, which is the main operating range of the refrigerator compressor, the energy efficiency ratio (EER) of the compressor was improved by up to 15% compared to Samsung's existing compressor (NF94R9151AT+++).
