[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon unboxing, I wondered how this tablet would stack against my 6.9 inch smartphone, especially in the battery life and performance aspect. Unlike smartphones, tablets often need frequent charging, due to their screen size. The tablet came with the S-pen which is something I’ve never used before. Upon first use, I was surprised how light it is. Weighing a touch over 700g, the screen stands out right away, with its vibrant and immersive AMOLED 2X display. Rich colours and the contrast levels are excellent which makes photos come to life. The large screen provides plenty of space for several simultaneous tasks, while the high resolution produces sharp and crisp visuals. Performance-wise, it works smoothly, even with multiple photo-editing apps open. This is thanks to the 2nd generation Snapdragon 8 and ample RAM. My version had 512 GB memory which can be further expanded via an SD card. I was really impressed with the battery life. 14.6 inch screen run for 6-7 hours didn’t need any charging. Even when it does need charging, it takes only half an hour to get it back to up to 50% battery. This is outstanding considering the screen size but expected from a battery of 11,200 mAh which is more than a double of an average smartphone. The S-pen is a nice touch. It makes doodling feel easy, like on actual paper. It’s dust- and water-resistant so that it can be used outdoors in various weather conditions. I’ve never had any problems with the S-pen, even with accidental clicks. Overall, this is a powerful and versatile device thanks to the latest processor which ensures seamless multitasking and snappy response times. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable work tablet that can handle demanding applications.

I have never been keen on the use of pens with tablets, but thought I would give this one a whirl… Needless to say it was very easy to operate. The screen its really clear and versatile, I would say it needs a case to protect it, given the cost of it, but other than that, its one of the most impressive products I have had from Samsung. Very easy to set up with the QR code again, and it straight away was recognised with my other devices in the house. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As you'd expect (and frankly, as you'd hope for at the price!) this is a lovely tablet. It's speedy and responsive, but where it really excels is in its beautiful, crystal clear screen. I don't think I've ever seen one quite as clear and vibrant. Zoom in on text to ridiculous levels and you'll still not see any pixelation. Needless to say, this - coupled with the size of the screen - makes the tablet perfect for streaming. On that note, the size of the screen may actually put some people off - it makes the tablet very large and, for some, it's likely to be a bit cumbersome. But I'm personally happy with the size. It's effectively a laptop replacement and it's an awful lot less bulky than one of those. Integration with the S Pen is great. The magnetic, charge-on-the-back holder thing is a great idea. It can separate a little too easily so you'll have to be careful around it, but as long as it's not constantly moving over other things it should be fine. The sound is lovely too. I've heard worse actual TVs and computers. I was initially using it with my earphones (it pairs well) but (sound-quality-wise) you just don't need them: the tablet's in-built sound is great. Battery life isn't exactly stellar for a tablet of this calibre, but neither is it rubbish. I'm getting roughly a day full of intensive use (e.g. videos) or three or four of regular but less demanding/less frequent use (e.g. browsing, reading). I haven't got a SIM for it yet but knowing I can use it out and about without having to dip in to somewhere with WiFi is useful. As you'd expect, it integrates really well with other Samsung products, such as my Watch5 and Flip5. So in short, if you have the cash and want to (a) replace your laptop, (b) have a really good portable TV/streamer or (c) both of the above, the stunning screen and speedy, powerful processing make the S9 Ultra a really good choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beauty and the Beast: The Beauty: ++++++++++ This thing is a beauty, its slim and not too heavy and the screen is bright and punchy, the OLED screen is amazing and watching content on it is a treat. the only downside is its a fingerprint magnet The Beast: +++++++++ This thing is a monster in terms of power and battery, paired with the latest processor and a monster battery this is an entertainment powerhouse that keeps going on for days. i do a lot on it browsing, reading, youtube, skygo and it barely breaks a sweat. can go on for 2-3days on a charge based on my usage patterns. for those looking for productivity, the software includes something called dex mode which allows the UI to look more like a laptop would do, it also allows connections to external displays much like a laptop would. this allows for a more pleasant multi tasking setup during use for work. if your work involves lots of typing and documents etc this can definitely replace a traditional laptop maybe not so much for those tasks that require a dedicated GPU ETC. you can connect keyboard/mouse over bluetooth or u can also use the device as a trackpad during DEX. you can also connect a USB C hub. the pen included is pretty good and is pretty close to using a normal pencil/pen. has all the bells and whistles needed for note takers and artists. might want to invest in a better keyboard case since the one I got on a promotion is limited in movement as it cannot be detached to use only in tablet mode and doesnt flex for use in different positions and the lacks a backlighting. Overall thoughts: +++++++ Ive always loved large tablets since i have larger hands, ive had the predecessor, so getting this was a no brainer for me and is a easy recommend for anyone looking for a decent sized entertainment device and a laptop alternative, for those not looking for this size, might want give its smaller siblings a go

I never thought I would purchase an android tablet but here I am, sitting using the biggest one on the market there is! And what a device it is! Firstly, it’s big, like very big! I use my tablet for work and play and I think for the play time, I’m gonna need a smaller tablet. As light as the S9 Ultra is, it’s still quite heavy to sit and hold when on the sofa, multitasking between online games and watching tv. It does, however, make great viewing for streaming Netflix, Disney+ etc. with such a beautiful, rich, crisp screen. When the package arrived, I was eager to get it opened and set up like a kid at Christmas! And setting it up was an absolute breeze. Coming from a competitor to this, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was up and running in minutes! I am no tech genius, I won’t make any excuses. I couldn’t tell you what the screen resolution is or how much RAM etc there is, but I do know quality and performance when I see it and this gets top marks! It’s quick, responsive and does everything I need it to and more. As mentioned previously, I think it will be more suited to me for work for the use of the Microsoft Office apps. I’ve used it several times for Teams calls and it’s just brilliant. The included S Pen makes note taking and diagrams a walk in the park and so much neater than using my finger. I bought the 512GB 5G version and the storage is expandable so no worries on that front and being 5G means I can use this no problem when the wifi drops (which is regular) at work! I’ve yet to test the waterproof part of this yet, and hoping that it never does actually meet with water but it’s reassuring to know that if an accident does happen, all will be ok. As soon as this gorgeous bit of tech was taken out the box, it was put in a case and a screen protector fitted so please do excuse the air bubbles in the pictures. I’m not one for taking risks with devices and like them protected at all times, especially with a 7 year old lad running around the house causing havoc! That being said, it feels like a solid device without the case and screen protector on. Beautifully made and I feel almost smug when I pull it out my bag at work - and I’m a very humble human being so that says something! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a replacement for an existing tablet/laptop.

I ordered this tablet mainly for browsing the Internet and streaming shows and films but I can see this replacing my laptop for everyday tasks. Blacks are also pure black thanks to the OLED technology. Watching video content is glorious, and reading documents is easy on the eyes, with super smooth text thanks to the high DPI. Coupled with the 120Hz refresh rate, interactions are incredibly smooth and responsive, making S-Pen usage and scrolling a lag-free experience. The 14.6" screen is also amazing. Making it super easy to use multiple apps side-by side. Perfect for taking part in a video conference whilst taking notes, or browsing the web whilst writing a report. Enabling DeX mode makes this even better, giving a full desktop-style interface with floating application windows, made even better if you attach a physical keyboard. Multi-tasking is also helped by the immense processing power, beating out nearly every other mobile device available. Apps load quickly, with no lag at all, and games run perfectly. The processing power doesn't come at the cost of battery life either, getting around 10 hours of screen-on time with moderate load. For that, one of the smaller tablets in the range is probably more appropriate. Where it shines, however, is in the brilliance of the screen and the power of the chipset. The display brightness is a big step up from the S8 Ultra, which was already very good, and this makes it a great tablet for using outdoors, whether watching movies or streams, browsing the web or checking email. The screen contrast is also exceptionally high, and the OLED screen means that black letterbox areas of movies that can distract are non-existent - in a darkened room the tablet screen area is exactly that of the movie you're watching, which gives a great experience. On the productivity side, The S9 Ultra benefits from Dex, a desktop that functions very much like other desktop PC operating systems, so web browsers, document editors, spreasheets and email clients work very much as if you were on a laptop, but with much better battery life. That makes it a useful laptop replacement for light use. While I dodn't recommend it as an ebook reader replacement, where it shines is in reading magazines and articles, and I find it particularly useful for academic papers, as viewing a whole page of relatively-small text and figures is much easier on a screen not far off from the intended paper size. Another useful feature is Second Screen, which allows any PC connected to the same WiFi network to use the tablet as an extra screen, making it very useful as a laptop companion. Overall, the Tab S9 Ultra is a real joy to use, and straddles the tablet/laptop class. It won't be for everyone, but if you want 90% of the functionality of a laptop, an outstanding media player and anything needing a huge, excellent screen, this is the tablet to go for.

You can't use all the tools when working in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., which is a big disappointment. It only provides basic functions, even though I have full access. This means that I normally have to use my laptop when working with formulas in Excel, recording in PowerPoint, and utilizing other advanced functions. The same limitation applies when I switch to the Dex option.

Oled display is turning all colours alive, viewing angles are perfect as well. S pen is very helpfull during work and when the kids want to play and draw a bit. Speed of apps is like lightening, never frozen. Battery side is amazing as well, heavy usage giving you 2 days of fun. You can use your phone charger if you have usb type C charger as well what is good for environment. I never expected that tablet cameras will be something exceptional but they are ok. Really useful when bought with keyboard case it's working same as mini laptop. I'm sure this product from Samsung will not dissappoint you at all.

Wow its massive a 14"+ screen it's like having a big TV in front of you! And the s pen is good as well even though I'm sill trying to understand it lol! It's specs are amazing and is well worth the money, and should last a good long time before you need to upgrade!

Really good quality, high quality. I would highly recommend for any photographers for editing purposes. The 14.6inch screen is impressive for video watching. Game play is also great with easy controls. With my e-sim it's just like a super grown mobile phone, so may be an awesome for the elderly and visually impaired. Only issue I have is the low quality cameras, apart from that all is good. A fully submersible would be an awesome addition maybe. Gutted that when I got my tablet I wasn't given a keyboard case because there was non available in store. Never sent one either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G has become as de facto laptop for me. With 5G data I don't have to hotspot with my phone. I use the book cover with keyboard and trackpad along with Samsung DEX and it becomes a laptop. Sure, there's some drawbacks with Android but Samsung has done an amazing job at creating a desktop like environment with floating windows using DEX. The screen and audio are absolutely stunning. It is the very best all-round device for entertainment, general productivity and creative concept designing. I absolutely love it!

I had reservations.....it's a tablet....it's Android. It's expensive to compared to laptops....which are better right? Wrong. This tablet does 99% of what my laptop can and it's millimeters thin. Including the keyboard case. The sound betters and the picture rivals competitors.....who are way more expensive for a much smaller screen. Most apps are automatically optimized for the larger screen. Dex makes everything feel like a laptop. Suddenly Android is no longer a mobile phone only operating system....although this is mobile device. The minimalist packages oozes quality....although it took me a while to master a few things....including optimizing connection to monitor. Everything just works. Finally an alternative and very worth rival to already excellent offerings in this space.

The Tab S9 Ultra replaced my iPad Pro 12.9" tablet. It's bigger. The screen is readable in daylight. It's not afraid of getting wet. The battery life is impressive. The pen is significantly better than the iPencil. The only shortcoming, which it shares with the iPad, is a glossy screen. Pens and glossy screens just don't go together as drawing in a shiny piece of glass is horrible. But just as with the iPad a matt glass screen protector easily corrected the manufacturer's design error.

An outstanding piece of highly capable tech. SmartSwitch made it a breeze to set up from my old device. The display is simply brilliant with smooth motion and vibrant, yet relaxed colours. 4k video on this is quite the experience. The processor powers through multi tasking easily and the AI features are powerful and are being updated regularly. The device is a touch heavy for prolonged use, but I don't mind that at all when the device is this good. Well done Samsung!

As much as I love my tablet, I still do not understand that it doesnot come wirh a charger. For the price, it should include a charger and optional free convertor for those who do not use wireless buds. Good sound, good image, good size for watching movies. Love the pen. Good battery life but difficult to switch off/restart. Very good overall but I like to listen to music when I work and need a earphone jack or convetor.

I absolutely love everything about it, it is much better than my previous galaxy tab s7 ultra the bigger screen makes gaming more realistic, when it comes to speed and Internet connection and exploring it goes much quicker and better than before especially when I am going from different websites, I would highly recommend to people I know to get samsung products and especially the new galaxy tab s9 ultra

It's been a really positive experience, I've been a die hard iOS and iPad fan for too long it appears as I've missed how far these Android tablets have matured, in the best way! However the call and text on other devices is not very stable. After changing mobiles from s22 ultra to s24 ultra the text is no longer working from the tablet. Calls are still ok. Some issues with screen timing out too quick and disconnecting from horizon app.

I love the fact that the screen is A4 sized because I use it to take notes when I observe my student teachers on placement. Previously I had a Tab S6 & This is an exceptional upgrade. The screen and the audio speakers make it fantastic for watching movies too. Dexmode is great for comparing two files simultaneously on the large screen too!

Picture quality is great, connection to internet fast and allows good streaming, works well with 3rd party apps that I use for Microsoft Office, Picture editing, document review, Social apps etc. Very happy with this, I haven't used it with the sim card yet but expect it to be as good as it is with Wifi connection.

As a previous owner of a Tab S8 Ultra I had high hopes for the S9 and now that I own the S9 I cannot praise it enough. Everything about it is superb. Screen quality. Access speed. Memory. Storage. Use with keyboard is better that my laptop. Very lightweight when out of the case.

I have the tab S9 not ultra. With Ui8 and Android 16. And i hate it. This software. Freezing like crazy. And doesn't get unfreeze. I need to get out and stay out. But on my fold 6 i have zero problems. Now i wonder would the tab S9 ultra be any beter as the software is the same.

Love the overall size and it's fabulous display quality. Fast performance, brilliant powerful cameras and lengthy battery life. The addition of the S pen stylus is a bonus too. For me there's nothing not to love about this super sleek machine.

Great screen size, brought as an alternative to a laptop. Works really well for multi screen, using teams and taking notes all at the same time and not missing a second. Really good for play and being creative too especially with the spend.

I've had the tab 2 and the Tab S7 Ultra, the Tab S9 Ultra is next level, faster and the sound on it is amazing! Much better than previous tablets. Extremely happy with it, it's like having a movie screen in your hands. Well done Samsung.

Firstly it’s jaw droppingly stunning, the first thing that hits you when you unbox it is how big this thing is, it’s absolutely enormous compared to any tablet I’ve ever used before, and it’s so thin and surprisingly light for something this size. The screen on this is by far and away the most stunning I’ve seen on any tablet (it’s not even close), the colours are so rich, deep and sharp it makes viewing any sort of content an absolute joy whether it be a movie or even if you’re using to work on a spreadsheet or presentation . The pen is also really good, although it’s not something I use for work, I have found myself using it for colouring apps and it’s really good, helps me relax at night. It’s definitely a social media and content performer, I’ve loved browsing through my social media accounts, and it’s amazing for watching a movie or even a football game when your wife doesn’t let you watch it on the tv I can’t recommend this tablet enough, it’s simply outstanding

Always been an ipad user but absolutely love my samsung tabs 9 ultra. Before buying I wasn't sure about the size being so big but it's actually perfect ive even got rid of my bedroom smart TV.

Haven’t used it too much so far as I got it for my coursework (3D artist student) Which doesn’t start until August but so far I love it so much for being able to sculpt and draw on the go.

Nothing it’s slow and the design is too fragile, I like Samsung products but the iPad Pro feels better put together. I want to get the buds to see if the sound quality can save it but

Pros Love the screen size and vivid colours Cons does not support all apps like on my fold 5 1T as both devices are linked but in WhatsApp lock chat doesn't work on my Tab S9 ultra

Fantastic tablet, runs superbly and the screen size means I can run multiple apps and windows elevating my productivity and it's superb for note taking and digital drawing.

I had the the s7 ultra for the last 3 yrs ,loved it ,but s9 is different gravy love the huge display and picture quality is amazing as I use to watch films n sport alot

No where to hold pen nor a cover case option have to get separate cover case with pen holder. Common sense but there Should be somewhere on the tablet to store pen.
