Hybrid Heat Pump

Begin drying quickly regardless of the external temperature. The Hybrid Heat Pump has a heater that preheats the air to the appropriate drying temperature. A Heat pump then efficiently maintains the temperature by using ‘refrigerant’ to heat the air and recycling warm air.

Intelligent drying

AI Dry+*

Dry clothes effectively and effortlessly!** AI Dry+* uses an enhanced sensor to detect the condition of a load and intelligently enhances the drying performance. It analyzes the weight, moisture content and drying temperature data of a load and can detect four types of fabric***, so it can adjust its performance to dry items thoroughly, quickly and gently. And it automatically controls the cycle time and the temperature.

One control for two*

MultiControl™

Control two machines using one simple control*. When the dryer is stacked up on a washer its MultiControl™ can be flexibly changed to control either. So you don’t need to stretch to reach the dryer or use a separate remote control. Simply select the washer or dryer to make doing laundry easy!

Voice Enabled

Control the clothes dryer really easily with your voice. Using Samsung Bixby*, you can simply say what you what you want it to do and it will do it. So you can select cycle options, control settings and monitor its progress. And, if you cannot read the screen, it can provide spoken feedback.

Prevents damp smells

Auto Open Door

Avoid having to dry clothes because they smell unpleasant if they are not taken out immediately. When a cycle ends, Auto Open Door automatically opens the door to let humid air escape. So your laundry won’t develop a musty odor from being damp and it helps keep the dryer fresh and clean.

Up to 99.9% sanitization*

Hygiene Care +

Prevent the build-up of bacteria, mites and allergens on laundry. Hygiene Care + sanitizes both dry and wet items* by infusing them with high temperature heat. It eliminates up to 95% of pollen, 100% of dust mites, and 99.9% of bacteria**, as well as 99% of Pet allergens*** from pet fur and dust.

Self Clean

Keep the inside of your dryer fresh. The Self Clean course uses high temperature hot air to dry out any moisture left inside the dryer after it has been used. It effectively dries every corner of the machine, even if they cannot be seen. And it automatically notifies you when it needs drying*.

* Provides a notification after every 30 cycles with Self Clean.

Reduces lint

3 Layered Filter System

Reduce dust on clothes and maintain the dryer in optimal condition with a 3 Layered Filter System. It captures the dust and fibers that come off drying clothes very effectively, twice with a 2-in-1 filter under the drum and a third time with a micro soft filter* in front of the Heat Exchanger.

* The micro soft filter automatically notifies you when the Heat Exchanger needs cleaning after every 300 cycles. Alerts are only available when the alarm option is set to “On” (the default setting is “Off”).

Stay clean with pets

Pet Care

Stay clean and smelling fresh if you have pets. The Pet Care course removes up to 96.3% of the fine pet hairs* that get attached to clothes and other items, like bedding, and are hard to see. It also removes up to 99% of 5 unpleasant smells** that are caused by the food and feces of animals.

* Based on internal testing, as witnessed and confirmed by Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, on a 1.5kg load of dry laundry. Test method: a 30x30cm cotton fabric specimen with pet hairs attached, and then cleaned using the Pet Care course. Result: removed 96.3% of the pet hair tested. Bedding

Dry blankets thoroughly and evenly, while saving time*. The upgraded Bedding cycle* senses the thickness of blankets (thin/normal/thick) and the moisture content of each load and adjusts the cycle time accordingly***. So it dries thin**** blankets quickly***** and thick****** blankets thoroughly.

* Only available when drying small items.
** The Bedding drying cycle can dry up to 4 kg of dry comforters.
*** For thin blankets the time is shortened and for thick blankets the time is increased to dry more evenly and thoroughly.

Monitor and reduce your energy use. AI Energy Mode* lets you easily check the power consumption and estimates your electricity bill. For certain cycles**, it helps you reduce energy use by up to 20%** with the same performance, by reducing the use of a heater and increasing the cycle time.
