[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung HW-B550 is a 2.1 soundbar. It is the replacement for the HW-A550 but has a few upgrades (I have that one as well). While it is a simple bar that's best for listening to stereo content, it performs well enough with most music and TV show sources. Overall the sound quality is good for this price point. I did like how easy it was to hook up and use. The bar is quite intuitive, and takes no special skills to use. Samsung always does a nice job with their apps, and this one is not an exception. While there is no Dolby Atmos there is Dolby Audio, DTS, DTS X and base boost to give a more immersive experience. This is a great soundbar for smaller rooms. Is it as detail and enhancement rich as it's big brothers? NO. It does deliver nice sound at a reasonable price point.

Comprei o produto na sexta feira à tarde. No sábado, menos de 24 horas depois, o produto estava em minha casa, mesmo com um prazo estimado de 4 dias úteis para a entrega (no centro de São Paulo). Esse foi o primeiro ponto positivo. O dispositivo é super simples de conectar, o manual é simples também. Em pouco tempo estava tudo ok. Minha tv é a QLED 55QN85D. O único problema que estou tendo é a impossibilidade de conectar o Q-Symphony, que segundo alguns forums de reviews, não vale muito a pena. Fora isso, tudo maravilhoso. A diferença do som é absurda, vale muito a pena principalmente pra ver filmes e séries.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This simple system packs quite a punch. I have never owned a soundbar before. I hooked it up with a hdmi cable which does not come with the unit. I mounted it on the wall under my tv. A template and hardware comes with the unit except for screws to attach the hanger knows to the wall. Once turned on the woofer auto connected to the bar. My favorite thing is to pair the bar with my phone or tablet and play music. Amazing!! This fills the whole room with quality sound. EQ comes preset so I didn't have to change the settings much. You can make it sound crisp or soft with a booming bass (which I like) or with little or no bass. I like it has a night mode as not to disturb other sleeping people in the house. Also has a mute button in case I need to mute. The Samsung B550 is made of hard plastic with a metal grate front. Has controls on the top too. On/off, +,-, and a source button. The woofer is made of wood with the horn located on the back. The front has a thin fabric covering which is good because makes no vibration. Very easy to use and puts out really great sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this soundbar to go with my Samsung TV. The setup and the integration with the TV is amazing. The sound quality is great, it definitely upgrades the sound experience for the TV. The only reason this product loses a star is due to the subwoofer. The subwoofer has a wireless connection to the soundbar with no wired option, and uses the 2.4ghz band to connect, meaning that it interferes with the wifi signal that the TV uses to connect to the internet. This can be avoided by using a wired connection obviously, and to Samsung's credit they do advertise this issue on the product description, but you have to dig a little for that information.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung B550 soundbar works good. The sound itself has made my TV experience better. Before having the soundbar I had to pump up the volume of my TV to about 40. With the soundbar I can easily here a level 5. Having to use less volume helps out tremendously even when those commercials come on and make your speakers explode. The subwoofer is good as well and is very lightweight. The only problem I've had with the soundbar is the subwoofer. The subwoofer does not have an ON/OFF switch and remains on all the time. This doesn't work well in an Apartment setting because it vibrates my neighbors apartment to. I have it laying in front of my TV since my TV is not mounted. I have 2 cats and my cats don't mind the soundbar it doesn't scare them away. The sound quality is great I have tested it with 4K movies and also played on my console and loved the surround sound feature. Overall I would say the soundbar itself is good. It has a sleek design and does not take up much space. The installation for this soundbar was very easy, I literally just took it out of the box and plugged in the power and the HDMI cable to the eARC port and my tv's eARC port and that was it. The subwoofer connects wirelessly and automatically.

The sound is very good and it has way more power than I need. I like trying different sound settings to get the perfect sound for watching TV or listening to my music. I never had a sub-woofer before and now will never do without one. The Doby Atmos surround sound fills the room and sounds like being at a movie theater. It was easy to set up and has multiple connection choices. I used an HDMI 4K cable I have to connect mine.

I really enjoy this sound bar for all types of entertainment including Listening on my favorite music app in dts x quality sound, gaming with game sound mode or even watching movies and television as well. There are several sound modes to select from. It even allows the option to custom adjust the sound settings like bass. Speaking of bass, the subwoofer and bar together create a superb experience. The sound is clear and the volume can maximize to very, very heavy and loud if one wanted that experience. I have owned several types of sound bars over the years from various companies and this is the best one.

The built in sound with my Samsung Q70A TV's (I have 3 of them—bedroom, study, & dining room) is not bad—clearly a cut above what you would expect in a TV. But the soundbar – it brings the TV to the next level. It's also nice looking. But the thing I love most about this soundbar is it uses the TV speaker as a center channel. It's such a nice touch. In my dining room— after having replaced the old picture on the wall with one of the Q70A 65" TV's, just needed more because it's a large room. The soundbar made a HUGE difference. So I got one for the bedroom TV as well. It's just so nice to have good sound, even in the bedroom.

Estou com problemas de aquecimento no modo Bluetooth você usa durante uns 20 minutos no máximo e ele desliga sozinho dando um erro chamado PRT que no manual não explica o que é esse erro, levei na manutenção da Samsung no Bairro de Santana na Rua Duarte de Azevedo,São Paulo - SP e os responsáveis pela assistência técnica não sabe explicar o motivo do por que o aparelho desliga sozinho ou seja só consigo usar mesmo ligado na TV, via Bluetooth não funciona no volume máximo, até agora estou sem solução do que fazer, não sei se levo de novo na assistência já que ele não sabem resolver só vou perde tempo ? se soubesse que era ruim a qualidade de conectividade não teria comprado.

A 63 foot x 9 foot mostly open area. I put t perfectly center I could hear the clear, well balanced, permeating sound exceptionally well. Comparatively speaking it was my 3rd favorite so far. My FEMA camper was broken into at Christmas and I haven't seen or heard it since. If the washer and dryer work that well I'll be thrilled. Would really like to see an upright multi surface all in one floor mop - scrub, and vacuum for hard floors and (with spot upholstery and short carpet cleaner options sm attachments){wash and reuse pads, washable filters and refill pod

I chose this sound bar and I’m so glad I did. • 2.1 channels (right and left spkrs in bar + separate sub-woofer) bring more sound and intensity to our date nights. This sound bar has brought the theater to our home. The many features of the B550, including Dolby Audio, DTS, the ability to choose surround sound, stadium sound (YAY FOOTBALL) and other things make it an even better choice. I’m looking forward to fine tuning the settings to our likings in the near future. For now, right out the box is just fine. Y’all should take a look at one for yourself!

However, I ran into some compatibility issues with my 65" Philips television. I'm not sure if it's the soundbar or my TV, but I can't turn off the TV sound without turning off the soundbar sound as well. Maybe this is the TV settings, but as much as I love the Samsung ecosystem, (owning watch 4 classic, galaxy s24 ultra, Galaxy buds 2, and a S9FE, and this HW B43M-ZA, if like to think I'm very familiar with the ecosystem) I do wish there was a bit more consistent compatibility with non-Samsung devices. TL;DR: 5/5 stars for sound quality, but 3/5 for compatibility with non-Samsung devices, so 4/5 stars overall!

Then you also have the option to how much sound you would like to come out of the sound bar. I ha e mine in my bedroom so I keep it at a -6 however when it comes to my music I adjust to the sound to make it sound good with the speakers up as loud as they go. Now the..wow! The sub and bass alone make the house vibrate and I love that! Coming from someone who had subs in their car this sounds pretty dang close if used a bedroom. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The setup process is easy and it can be done quickly. That said I found the setup to be relatively straightforward. The soundbar connected seamlessly to my Samsung TV. I used the Bluetooth feature to wirelessly connect it to the TV via the Bluetooth TV connection that is included. The Dolby Audio / DTS:X creates an immersive audio experience when watching movies or the TV. I've experienced a much better sound quality since I purchased this soundbar and the included subwoofer has a very powerful bass output. I would say overall, this was a great purchase, and it has been the best of any of the other brands I have purchased in the past.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WOW! This is one great soundbar. I got the HW-B550 soundbar with the separate sub-woofer and it blew my old setup away. The sound is very clear and crisp and it has way more power than I need. I like trying different sound settings to get the perfect sound for watching a movie, listening to my music and especially playing video games. I never had a sub-woofer before and now will never do without one. The Doby Atmos surround sound fills the room and sounds like being at a movie theater. It was easy to set up and has multiple connection choices. I used an HDMI 4K cable I have to connect mine and that made it super easy. Will never buy another brand!

Then I'll choose a new movie with my dinner to watch while I eat, then go-ahead and check my emails through my system and then watch a few more shows before bedtime and then I will put the music back on real low on the timer. Off to sleep I will go..and start with my music in the morning while I get ready for my day...perfect for all occasions and then some. The only issue I have with it is the fact that I live in an upstairs apartment and sometimes the bass is a little more than I'd like with neighbors down stairs. Sometimes when watching certain types of programming,I'd like to be able to unplug the subwoofer. The system will not operate with the sub unplugged from the back of the sound bar. I don't understand why I have to have the subwoofer connected for the bar to work. If that was remedied I think it would be closer to 5 stars because of the quality.

We use it for whatever we use our TV for. Gaming, streaming TV/Movies, game days at home, UFC fight nights if it streams and requires audio we use the sound bar & woofer. We usually keep it on surround sound mode sometimes we change it to gaming for certain games. I stream my music from my phone to the bar so i can make my house cleaning more enjoyable! My neighbors know when I'm over here cleaning too and they don't live beside me! I have owned this HW-B550 soundbar for 4-6 months and it has worked "properly" about half that time. The firmware has been updated several times and it still work properly, as it keeps disconnecting randomly from a 2022 model Samsung tv. I connected two different soundbars to the same tv and they work PERFECTLY, one is a Bose and the other is a different model Samsung. This soundbar is trash, except for the nice bass from the subwoofer, whenever the soundbar decides to work. I recently sent the soundbar in for a warranty repair, and according to the information from the repair center, the soundbar is working fine. Really? No thanks, you can keep this garbage Samsung.

The setup to the tv was easy enough after following the directions completely. This sound system does get very loud and it enhances the bass which is great for music. It also has enhanced the sound of soft spoken shows and movies. The nicest feature is that I can use my non-Samsung tv remote to control the soundbars volume. The tv remote doesn't get the volume completely down but it's helpful when I can't find the soundbar remote. There also controls on the soundbar itself that are a great help. For my setup I have the soundbar under the tv and the other speaker by my bed for surround sound.

But it definitely beats the TV sounds. I no longer have to put tv on full blast to hear to it. I never do indepth reviews. If you are looking for more than an upgrade for your tv then this it it. Price to quality is well worth it. Now if you're an audio connoisseur then this product won't be for you. Either way I still recommend it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used 3rd party speaker systems for a long time with my TV setup but decided to get a soundbar because they seemed to last a long time and they fit in seamlessly with large TVs compared to having to set up and tuck wires for other surround sound systems. The virtual surround in this soundbar is plenty good enough for me! My only critique is that the HDMI Arc would occasionally lag or desync which you'd have to reset your systen to fix but it rarely happens.

The first set up was easy, we used the Bluetooth connection and the sound was a great improvement over just the TV speakers. After a few days we switched to the wired connection and REALLY enjoyed the new sounds. I'm really enjoying the different listening modes while watching games, concerts and my favorite action movies. I'm very satisfied with the performance of the sound bar, it's small but big on sound. I'm looking forward to cranking out the holiday sounds. It's definitely a good choice for you pocket also.

Our TV's sound was not so good and even though it was a 4K TV the sound was subpar. With the Samsung Soundbar it brings us way better sound and it is easy to install. We have a TV stand and we placed the Soundbar on top of that and it looks great. Since we installed the Soundbar we have been re-watching movies and tv shows to experience the Dolby Surround Sound features. This blows us away when we put something on the TV because you can hear the sound travel from one side to the next. It is like being at a movie theater without having to be around so many people. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to bring their TV experience back to life with this soundbar. The Subwoofer is ultra lite and this is just a plug and play device. Our cats don't mind the soundbar, it doesn't scare them at all.

No Dolby, but DTS virtual X. The wireless subwoofer is a plus and makes things less cluttered. This makes a suitable addition in a bedroom or small living room. We've been buying Samsung TVs for as long as I can remember and quite honestly, I didn't see the need for a Soundbar, as the sound quality was always great. We moved into a home with an oddly shaped living room and though the TV was still working great, the acoustics in the room were just off and no matter how we tried to rearrange the furniture, it just wasn't the same, so Hubby got the Soundbar and it made me a fan immediately. I was afraid it would be hard to set up or some "movie theater" type booming sound, but it wasn't. It really was easily installed & easily setup. In no time our familiar Samsung sound was back...and now it was even more rich!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this B serious sound bar with wireless woofer. Even though it doesn't have many options. The DTS sounds great. Very loud.! I was nervous that with my LG TV it wasn't going to work right but i was wrong! It has the HDMI ARC and that makes for a seamless experience. I don't have to use the samsung remote for the home theater system. With a little programming on my LG magic remote I can control the volume on Bluetooth and HDMI ARC and D.IN (optical) not my favorite setting because the sound is very soft. But on all the others, especially HDMI ARC it detects the codec. Wish it had Dolby Atmos but still easy setup great value and I'm not disappointed at all! Would recommend to anyone!

Hello Creyesjr11, If the audio from the wireless subwoofer is dropping out intermittently there are a few things to check before performing any troubleshooting: 1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft. 2) If there is a wall between the sound bar and the subwoofer it may cause interference or not work at all depending on the material in the wall. 3) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency (2.4 GHz) near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption. 4) Check all the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast. 5) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by Auto Update, using the SmartThings app, or by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-B550 on the Samsung website. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had Samsung soundbars for many years and they last a long time. Our last bar was quite a few years old and was on its last leg. This new one has been great and has more features than our old one. It was extremely easy to hook up and connect the subwoofer to the bar. I really love the different tones that you can choose from, our other one was a one size fits all situation. As a family that uses our TV for many things, from gaming to streaming, it is nice to be able to switch through the different tones to fit our current need. The subwoofer is amazing. We didn't have one for a few months and I forgot how nice they are. We even had to set our bar in front of the TV (walls aren't able to hold much) and the subwoofer in the bottom of the entertainment center (little kids) and it hasn't affected its sound at all. The only complaint I can come up with is the background noise is louder than the talking sometimes, but honestly I think that might be more to do with how things are edited. I definitely recommend this soundbar.

Kind of annoying that when I turn it on I have to switch hdmi inputs for the tv to see the sound bar. Called both LG and Samsung and both blame each other, frustrating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After escaping the 2018 CampFire, I'm still dealing with 'Super Hearing' from trauma (a fight/flight symptom). My hearing test range is so much higher than the 'normal' range, that they don't have any over lap. All of that, makes music/movies/shows thru TV speakers Horrible sounding. Even my brand new Samsung tv is sadly no exception. Luckily, this new sound bar & woofer has made my life exceptionally better. Voices & music sounds so much clearer. At the same time, the sound's more full & vibrant. Flat, tinny sound, along with surprise attacks from out of place overly 'loud scenes' are a thing of the past! It's a huge relief with migraines! So no more clenching the remote, constantly switching between high to hear voices & frantically down for loud background music/fighting/explosive noises. The Super Hearing also causes terrible anxiety/panic attack flare ups from ambient sound. However, the sound bar helps with knock out irritating & overwhelming ambient sound. Without being loud or interfering for anyone else in the house It's seriously been life changing, thank you Samsung! <3

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sound bar and woofer are great. Got a large flat screen years ago and struggle with poor sound quality. Plugged this in (literally)- you get an OPTICAL cord not HDMI but that saves you money and we hooked it up to our TV and it self paired with our Samsung TV to our Cable service remote. We just turn it out and there is the sound we have been missing. We also use an old DVD player and was able to config that to also divert to the sound bar and that takes care of the "sound down" that occurs with DVD's. Love turning up the bass and listening to music. The quality is very good. Don't know if they consider this basic but it is comparable to our Bose system that is 15 years old. I would recommend this- pretty much hooking up is a no brainer. I also like that you get the wall mount brackets. We did not wall mount our TV since I don't want to strain my neck looking over a fireplace to watch TV. It's on a beautiful cabinet with wall straps to preventing falling over. We placed the sound bar on the wood in front of the TV and made sure to shut off the TV speakers. Again, sound is very very good. Price is good too.
