After buying several third party cases due to poor reviews on here of this one I finally purchased this one, and it's the best of the lot. It's stylish, fits the tab perfectly and is very easy to use. The front screen flap is removable and is magnetic so it attaches and detaches very easily. The back part of the case has the new origami style foldout for a stand , and it works perfectly. The other reviews that say it doesn't work or isn't stable, what were they using it on, the back of a motorbike? It's very stable indeed on its own on a flat surface. And if you've got the tab on you lap just fold the front part all the way under so the stand is resting on that. It works perfectly. Ignore the low score reviews, this is the best non-keyboard style case available.

1º Se for tocar ou escrever ela balança, pois a base é pequena 2º Arranhou a tela do meu tablet. Eu abri a caixa dessa capa e logo coloquei no tablet, ela é bonita e bem feita, dei uma olhada rápida, gostei e levei para ao trabalho. Eu gostei bastante por ela ser leve e o material que tem contato com a tela parecer proteger bem. Mas quando cheguei no trabalho, e peguei o tablet, ele estava com um arranhado na tela. Então fui olhar a capa com cuidado, para ver o que foi que arranhou a tela, e encontrei um fragmento bem pequeno de plástico da mesma cor capa.

From a usability perspective, it's a terrible design. The kickstand sticks out 6.5 inches and it comes out at an angle, making it not versatile. You'll need to clear out a good amount of space on your desk to actually use the stand. If you want to have it stand at the edge of a desk/table or on a sofa armrest, forget about it. The odd design won't allow for that. I use to have a Samsung case with kickstand for my S8 Ultra, which was great. It protected the sides while also giving me a kickstand that can be used on any space. Unfortunately, that case won't fit the S9 Ultra due to a slightly different camera placement.

Nice cover but fundamental design flaw in that the S Pen creator edition doesn't fit! I'm sure they could have made the container just those few extra mm so both standard and creator pens both fit. One of the main reasons I Ordered this was to keep the pen safe and it fails 100% on that :-(

This cover is well appointed and constructed. The design includes versatility. It has a nice little place to keep the pen safely charged and ready for use. It is not a super rugged item - if you plan to drop your tablet you might want to find a case. (I bought a case that the tablet with the cover will fit for travel.) I use my tablet for music, mounting the tablet on a music stand with a specially designed clamp device. I can leave the cover on it OR I can remove just the front of the cover and leave the back on while it is in the mounting. Very convenient. Recommend.

I got the S9 Ultra for a very specific application, as a extended monitor with stylus for my desktop computer, and for that purpose is working just fine. I got the tablet with the slim keyboard case and got the Smart case to use the tablet in portrait mode, but unfortunately, when set up in that orientation, the connector is on the bottom, tried with a 90 degree connector and it works, but is not steady, tried reversing the case, and also works, but can't store the S-Pen. As I can't return it, as the box was thown away, I just chucked in a drawer.

I have the Tab S8, Tab S8+, Tab S8 Ultra and now the Tab S9 Ultra. The standard Book Cover Case I have on my 3 x S8 tablets and it's fantastic. Adds no bulk, strong magnets, perfect viewing angles, elegant. In an attempt to be "Smart" the new origami case is terrible. The cover keeps detaching when held in portrait. The viewing angles aren't as good as the standard book cover case. As the phrase goes, "if it's not broken don't fix it". The original book cover case is a 5 star product. This Is an unstable mess.

I don't know about the black option but the white option is terrible. It stains incredibly easy and nothing will get whatever the stain is out, it is extremely annoying how dirty it looks because nothing comes off. The bottom part unsnaps very easily not the most sturdy. The back part with the opening for the pen is great other than not being able to clean it. I just needed a case for my tablet but this was not worth the money at all. Maybe try the black one but definitely don't get the white one.

I had to purchase several of these to find one that had magnets that would actually secure the notebook into place when opening and closing the smart book. Unlike the books that were one piece and folded around the books. This one is made up of two pieces and the ends overlap throwing the magnetic off. The keyboard smart book is made to fit without overlapping but is much heavier. So I kept trying other book covers after the second try I finally found one that held successfully. The end cap is cheap and breakable. What I like about it is the built in stand and the holder for the pencil thingy. Though I never used it before. The quality of the case not regarding that mentioned above is super. But I really wish samsung did not change their notebook covers. I really preferred the one piece style.

This is just the worst Galaxy Tab cover ever. The origami style back support is fancy but completely useless, giving no decent stability to hold the tablet, even in landscape. In portrait, is just a joke, the back support is the most fragile support I've ever seen. I can't even understand how this passed the Samsung Quality Control. To hold a tablet with these dimensions / weight, you need a much more robust holding support.

Como funda, no es un mal producto, se ajusta perfecta y la tapa se puede quitar, como stand, es una basura, el sistema origami es malísimo, no tiene estabilidad ninguna, máxime en una tablet de este tamaño, se coloca y se quita de una forma muy engorrosa. No merece la pena el precio que tiene. No la compres y si la has comprado, devuélvela, es pésima.

This is a very good case. It has a very slim fit. The magnets are strong. Have not had an issue with it falling off like the previous generation. The 2 piece design makes it convinient to use in small spaces. It does have it's limitations however. It will not protect your tablet well if you drop it. Also I feel the case is VERY over priced.

The construction is quality, but the design is awful. The fact that it's 2 separate pieces with the front only attached with relatively weak magnets holding along the edge has resulted in the front coming off and me dropping the tablet. The design is really not good. My Galaxy S8+ cover was great. Not sure why they changed it.

This cover is built well, but it was designed very poorly. The magnets are too weak, so the cover comes off way too easily. It's very annoying to say the least. I'm also not a fan of the viewing angle while using the built in stand. I will be looking for a different cover for certain.

Excellent cover! I love the versatility of it. Was skeptical of the stand being on just one side, especially when I'm using my tablet in bed, but folding back the front cover and resting the tablet on it gives it the stability I need. I also love that the front cover is removable.

I don't like the way this cover is in two pieces. When I pick it up sometimes it separates and I either drop the pad or fumble to catch it. If I had known about this I wouldn't have bought this cover. It is made of nice materials and I do like the pen cover.

The back of the cover is great. The front is terrible. Trying to fold it behind the tablet and it just comes off. It takes up too much space to leave it unfolded in the front. So you just have to remove it and set it off somewhere. Just not user friendly at all

I do NOT recommend this case. This case is overly complicated and the design is poor. It is almost as heavy as the tablet itself. The folding stand (others call it the origami stand) is very limited. You can only put it in one viewing angle for portrait or landscape. The stand will only work on a flat table or surface. It is useless when sitting with the tablet on your lap. I am not confident that the case will stay together in my bag and protect the tablet. I use my table on planes a lot and now have to take the front cover off and stuff it in the seat. I wish Samsung had just done another book cover case like they did for the Tab S8. That was a very functional, light and a beautifully simple case. You could easily adjust the viewing angles. You never had to worry about it breaking lose. I am going to return this and look for a 3rd party case that is similar in design to the Tab S8 book cover case. This case makes me wish I had not upgraded from the S8 to the S9. Samsung, please keep engineering simplicity and all the usecases for a product in mind when you design something.

It sure covers my tablet. The magnet slips off the bottom sometimes if you try to slide the tablet across a surface. The price is kind of wild, but what price isn't kind of wild anymore.
