I bought few weeks ago I like it it's not ment to be super loud me t to compliment your sound bar not overpower it for back ground sounds to give in person feel most ppl mad not as loud as sound bar but with my HW-R60M sounds great rear speakers maybe 1/2 as loud as bar but bar is ment for main sound gun shots sound really nice usually come from rear speakers not bar anymore ppl just dont understand that's what ment for!!! SAMSUNG WOULD NOT SELL A PRODUCT THAT WASNT WHAT SUPPOSED TO BE I BET THEY DID TONS OF RESEARCH AND FIGURED OUT THIS IS HOW TO MAKE BEST FOR SUROUND SOUND!!!! now I'm used to it and I prefer the sound being like this but its definitely worth buying

I own the amazing Samsung HW-Q70R soundbar. There was no need to improve on the sound of it, but yet I couldn't resist adding this back speaker surround sound kit. These little speakers are so inferior to the soundbar that they produce pretty much nothing at all. Even at the 6+ level, there is a very faint copy of the sound that comes from the soundbar. There is no surround sound effect at all. I understand it may work with some soundbars but definitely not with the HW-Q70R even though Samsung says it is compatible, but that only means they can find each other, not work with each other.

I bought a brand new Samsung SWA-8500S Wireless Rear Speakers to my Soundbar M360, but have a problem with surround settings. They just duplicate the stereo sound of front L and R channels and do nothing when I send multichannel surround sound from my computer. The rear speakers do not react to calibration and sound check at the behind speakers in any configuration (Quadraphonic, Surround, 5.1 Surround), only Stereo 2.0 and duplicate the stereo in behind. I was trying different configurations like direct connection with SPDIF cable from the computer or via TV, turning ON/OFF Surround mode and also Turning on/off Dynamic Range Control from the Soundbar. The speakers are fine but at this moment not a real surround.

Please know that by design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume. However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference: 1. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. 2. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE. 3. Turn off Dynamic Range Control. once you get these little bad boys set up, they're absolutely disappointing. the problem is on top of the initial setup, you have to tweak your soundbar settings to really get any value out of them, and that's not really documented anywhere (i eventually figured it out after reading a half dozen reddit threads). once you get these little bad boys set up correctly, they're make an astonishing difference. they're small, and the included amp is not overly powerful, so they can be a little quiet, but they sync easily to a bar, and really boost the sound depth and quality.

i have got, after 1 month of reviewing my pocket :) and internet forums hw-q60r + (later) swa-8500s. what i have to say, do not listen bad review and instal it with hdmi 2.0 arc. i have a mu7002 tv, audio to bitstream+dolby digital with audio adaption for a better voice and you will be able to watch netflix hdr 4k with massive audio definition. it is not true that adding rear speaker you are not going to listen because of 7.1 system. it will remain 5.1 but with much better definition. i definitely recommend this production after a deep review and "tweakability"

Dont waste your time on this product, in trying to make sound settings simple they missed the point in the product actually performing the task. I purchased a complete Samsung system and will never buy another Samsung AV product again. Unless these speakers are 2 feet from your head on 6+ max volume there is no way they can advertise a immersive experience. Really there should be a class action lawsuit on the misrepresentation of this products performance. 2+ years on the market and no firmware update investment from samsung.

setting up the speakers were a pleasure, but sadly they don’t meet the sound quality of the sound bar. they just sound very high-pitched and distractingly tinny. they’re about as large as free computer speakers, and sadly they sound just like it. they in no way live up to the hw-t650 they’re pairing with. i had to turn the volume way down to deal with just how much they sound like they’re being filtered through aluminum foil. the industrial design is great. they are easy to setup. they... just don’t have the dynamic range.

I don't know why people said these were not loud and hardly made a sound. I had to lower the volume from 6 to 3 and they are still loud. Of course regular programing on T.V. does not produce a good surround effect. Put a action movie(Top Gun etc) or Scifi(Jurassic Park, Star Wars etc.) The movie comes alive and these speakers do great. I had to go to YouTube to learn how to adjust the volume to the rear but after that no problem. The instruction were not that clear on how to do that. Set up could not be any easier.

Overall, I'm very happy with this speaker kit. I paired them to the HW-M550 soundbar and they connected with no issues. As mentioned in another review, it did take some digging to figure out how to control them via the soundbar remote. Manuals for both the soundbar and this kit could be a bit better. My only complaint and reason for 3 stars for design is the length of the speaker cable provided. It makes it hard to find a spot to place the module so it is "out of the way" and still allow cable management.

i just plugged mine in and hooked it up to the sound bar. the set up seems easy enough. it connected without much of an issue. the problem is they seem pointless. you need to be within inches of the surrond sound speakers to hear anything at all. my couch is about 3 feet from where the surrond sound speakers are set up, and they add nothing to the overall, audio experience. not sure if its just the ones i received or if they all are this quiet. but they really don’t seem to add anything to he sound.

i use the swa-8500s set in combination with a hw-q60t soundbar. the rear set is easy to set-up and good quality, but the real problem is they will not complement your setup to a truly 5.1 dolby surround. the speakers are highly directional which will give you a narrow sweet spot. probably this is why many people complain about the volume level. if you mount them at ear level they can easily match the sound level of your sound bar. when connected they work like a 3.1 sound system, replicating the front left/right channels, with a different frequency weight which is tuned for ambiance sounds. sounds like rain, steps will definitely fill your room, and they will give some separation for the right and left channels, but still far off from the separation given by a truly 5.1 dolby surround.

tested this kit with both the t430 and t650 soundbars. for the t430 (a 2.0ch system), the rear speakers simply copy the sound of the front speakers. by design, the rear speakers will always be overpowered, making them difficult to hear at times. still they add value to the sound (as side speakers), filling the room more. certainly not a must-have for 2.0 systems, but a nice addition nonetheless. when paired with the t650 (5.1ch), this kit truly shines, providing true surround sound. with discrete sound effects coming from the back, volume is no longer an issue; these speakers get plenty loud. due to the bluetooth connectivity and the small speaker size, they elegantly fit in most living rooms. a tad overpriced perhaps, but it's difficult to get a better surround set for this price.

i purchased these rear speakers for the 65" q90r qled purchased in 2019 and the q70r soundbar. the pairing process was quick. after about 15 months, the rear speakers quit powering on at all. i've tried working with support but they seem to have trouble understanding that the device will not power on. the speakers test fine so it's going to be the reciever box that needs replacing, but since i know these won't last long, along with the frustration of the earc debacle that's been going on with the q90r qled tv and samsung's lack of followthru on their own executives promises, i've been looking at other brands. i have the samsung smarthings hub that's no longer supported, the flagship tv of 2019 for samsung that didn't get the update they promised for earc, the q70r soundbar that did.

I bought these speakers and was intending on adding them to my Series 7 MS750 Soundbar Sound+. However I have now found out these products are not compatible. I looked through the soundbar manual and wireless rear speaker manual online prior to purchase to check compatibility and there was no information to be found. I took the punt and purchased the speakers and the manual provided with the speakers lists the compatible sound bars and mine is not one of them.

I was considering buy a new Samsung soundbar because I could add the wireless speakers. But in researching I discovered that the speakers was not truley wireless because you havve to hook then up to a wireless module with a wire. So unless you couch/rear vieing area is against a wll this will not work. The is not a way to stretch a wire across the room. I find this very disapointing from Samsung as both LG and Visio have truley wireless speakers.

Na wat speurwerk op internet blijken deze niet compatible met elkaar te zijn. Dat staat niet op jullie site! First and foremost most reviewers saying there's no sound or it's very low the rear speakers are adjusted separately volume wise. Find the instructions adjusting their volume makes a world of difference. The speakers work well the wireless adapter could be a little smaller bit such is life. A stand for the satellite speakers from Samsung would be nice though. Let's make it happen Samsung something table top wise would be most welcome.

I am really glad I purchased these in addition to the HW-N650. These speakers add that extra touch to really immerse you in whatever you are watching. I had to reduce the volume on the rear speakers because, at times, it made it difficult to hear spoken words coming from the main soundbar. I put these on stands next to the couch, so they are fairly close to ear level and can be a bit loud, but overall I am happy with these speakers.

Bought this with the M360 sound bar and it wouldn't pair. First interaction with support said it was an issue with the sound bar and to open a ticket for service. Response from the service ticket was another round of trouble shooting and was told it was a problem with the rear speakers and to arrange a replacement. Was then told it could only be serviced and not replaced. So I just returned them in frustration.

Bought these about 2 months ago and I have constant issues with the sound cutting in and out. The receiver is less than 10 ft away from my soundbar and it seems like the wifi signal cuts in and out. When it cuts out the receiver light blinks. Some days it never cuts out, others it's constant problem. And I just registered my speakers and of course the warranty is expired.... I am not happy with my purchase....

I bought this system a while ago and I should have returned it. The front sound bar works great but can hardly hear anything out of the rear speakers or the base speaker. Not quite sure where to place everything. If the small speakers are behind you, you can't even tell they are there. If you stand in-line with them or slightly behind them it does sound a little better but not what I was expecting.

By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume. However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference: 1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. 2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. 3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC. 4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. a. I have the HW-R650 soundbar which is listed as compatible, but the light keeps blinking even though I went through every step listed on all manuals. I suspect this has to do with the fact the devices were purchased in different countries (Israel and US) but since it isn't noted anywhere, I'm left guessing. Truly regret I purchased the soundbar and these speakers :(

i set these up with my q-60t soundbar and my 2015 uhd samsung tv and they worked great. then i upgraded my tv to a 2020 samsung model and they no longer worked. after troubleshooting with samsung support for more than four hours (including 30 minutes where the samsung pro was unresponsive), we were offered no solutions to fix our issue. do not recommend.

I keep losing signal from the rear speakers. I have tried resetting the whole system and starting over with the setup. I still get loss of signal from the rear speakers. The blue link light flashes when the signal is lost. No nothing is blocking the box from the sound bar. It's a straight line. Any ideas why the rear speakers are cutting out?

despite what the n650 owners manual says, these speakers will not pair with the soundbar. after getting my soundbar back for repairs (it dropped the bass pairing while i tried setting these up), it reconnected with the bass but won’t recognize these speakers. even the best buy site doesn’t include the n650 as compatible.

i just bought this and paired it with my hwt450 and i noticed that there was a faint static noise at low volumes. its not that loud but at quiet scenes the static noise can get very distracting. its sad cause the speakers actually perform really well its just the static noise that cause major set back on the experience.

I have these speakers connected to the q60r harman karman sound bar system and no sound ever comes out of them no matter what i play on my tv. I have tried hooking the sound bar in several different ways to try and get these rear speakers to work but nothing. Light says there connected but no sound.

Most consumers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The SWA-9000S Kit eliminates that hassle. Connect the SWA-9000S rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. One wire is required to connect each rear speaker to the wireless module. Then plug in the power cable to the module. I wouldn’t reccomend the rear speakers. I have the sound at the loudest it will go but the rear speakers do not have a very loud sound.

Phil57 , Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless Rear Loud Speakers. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system. Please know that by design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume. However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference: 1. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. 2. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE. 3. Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. 4. Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment. Bought these Samsung 8500S surround sound speakers (and the T650 soundbar) to create an awesome 5.1 channel system... Setup was a breeze. Connected the T650 soundbar and subwoofer to our 65" RU8000 TV, then connected the 8500S surround speakers via bluetooth to turn the 3.1 soundbar into a full 5.1 system. All the components work seamlessly together. Regular surround mode is decent, but switch to Virtual:X and the whole sound system comes alive, especially the surrounds, expanding the soundstage all around you, elevating surround speaker sounds above you, sharpening the dialogue and drastically deepening the base. Pro setup tips: 1) Put the surround speakers on stands slightly behind and above you, aimed at your head to maximize the T650's Virtual:X atmospheric sound effects. 2) Run the wires from the speakers down through the stands, then under your couch to the bluetooth receiver unit (the speaker kit is described as "wireless", but the speakers themselves are in fact wired into a small bluetooth receiver, and it's that receiver that connects wirelessly to your soundbar or TV). 3) Be patient with the bluetooth connections, they'll connect with a couple tries. 4) You'll probably get best results using Samsung stuff throughout the system (I know, that's how they get you, but is what it is). My setup is an RU8000 TV + T650 soundbar & subwoofer + these 8500s speakers. Light yours up and enjoy!

J'ai mis du temps pour trouver ces enceintes arrière, pour ma barre de son Samsung hw-q60t 5.1. Après une installation simple (bien suivre la notice), ça fonctionne tout de suite. Il fallait à tout prix que j'installe ces enceintes arrière, car c'est vraiment le complément de ma barre se son Samsung et le son n'a plus rien à voir. Etant abonné à Canal+ avec le décodeur UHD et possédant une TV Samsung 4K /UHD de 2018 de la série Q7, 55 Pouces (acheté pour la Coupe du Monde), franchement je me régale enfin, avec du vrai son en Dolby Digital 5.1. Et en surround. Le son entoure mon canapé, sans être forcément fort, alors qu'avant, même en montant le son sans ces enceintes, on n'avait pas ce son agréable. Pendant un match de foot, on entend les spectateurs parler dans les enceintes arrière, comme si on était dans un stade. Pour les films, je prends l'exemple de l'avion qui passe de droite à gauche de l'écran, et on entend dans les enceintes arrière, le son de l'avion dans l'enceinte droite et qui passe ensuite dans l'enceinte gauche, en suivant l'image du film. Un vrai cinéma a la maison Je ne comprends pas d'ailleurs que Samsung, ne vend pas pas sa barre de son avec ces enceintes, car autrement on n'a pas de 5.1, car pour avoir du 5.1., il faut avoir les 5 enceintes, et avec ces deux enceintes vendues en option, c'est là qu'on s'aperçoit tout de suite la différence. Je conseille donc à tous ceux qui possède cette Barre de son Samsung HW-Q60T, ou qui vont en acheter une, et croyez-moi, vous allez vraiment sentir la différence, en regardant un film en 5.1, que ce soit avec un décodeur ou avec un lecteur DVD Samsung UHD, comme celui que je possède. Je ne suis vraiment pas déçu par ce très bon produit.
