When you buy a case with front and back you normaly buy it to protect both the back but also the screen in the front. This cover has a HOLE on the cover = no protection. The case also is not durable. I had the Clear view for my S10+ for three yers - scratches and bumps but till looked good. I have one white and one black for the S22 Ultra and both have the sides of the case... flaked off? I is like the case is not made to put in a pocket so every time you put it in and out of a pocket the corners of the cases get rubbed of and it looks super bad quality. I have used thease 2 cases abput 50% each in less than 6 months. Not recomended.

Bought this case for my s22ultra. I had used Samsung flip case for my previous s9 and was very pleased with it. However this current case for my s22 has caused scratches to the screen of my phone following the lines of the view window. It would seem that over a period of about 6 months, dust has slowly rubbed against the screen causing lines of scratches around the lines of the case window. Tried cleaning but it’s left microscopic scratches to my screen. I didn’t fit a screen protector because I thought the case would protect it….bad move. It appears a nice quality case but if you buy one beware of this problem and fit a screen protector. Mines been binned.

I have had the previous generation of clear view cases which were great and so bought this one with my pre-order as a matter of course. It has some redeeming features - it feels nice, you can still answer calls with it closed (preventing oily screen) and it seems to offer some protection. The lack of plastic in the viewing area means that you can fold the case right back on itself and still use the cameras. BUT the viewing area has no plastic cover so as other reviewers have mentioned, it would still be possible to get scratches on the screen with the case closed. It's also bulkier than the last generation to the point that the phone feels rather thick. Sorry, Samsung - it's just not a good case for me.

Me encanta la funda y su mini ventana frontal, muy práctica. Lo único es que la funda se pica rápidamente y empieza a perder el revestimiento, afeando mucho la funda. Mala calidad del material empleado por Samsung.

I think other reviewers are missing the point. I had a S20 ultra with the side viewer with the clear plastic strip which was a great cover. However, one bug bear was that when you folder it over it covered the cameras. So you either had slightly blurred pictures or you had to keep the cover open to take photos which was awkward. By having the hole in the cover you may reduce some of the screen protection but you can now take photos when the cover is folded back, genius. I have to admit it was my 16 years old son who pointed this out.

I've had this cover around 4 months now. Yes there's a hole in the window with no lense to cover it. However, this has not been an issue. My phone hasn't scratched and I've dropped my phone several times case open and my screen remains intact and scratch free. The window allows me to answer calls and read notifications without opening the case. I would say the only downfall considering the price is that the case isn't particularly durable and is liable to peel and scratch in such a short time unlike other cases.

Can see why others don't like it but I think it's great. Perfect fit very comfortable to hold, hole in front lines up with cameras on back when folded over, so taking photos is a breeze - not at all fiddly like most flip cases. Never understood why anyone sells or buys wallet cases that hold cards given the screen damage the hard bumpy edges must cause - this one is flat and smooth inside so protects the screen well. Very cool to watch clock transition on once case is closed...

The case works as advertised. One reviewer mentions poor quality which isn't true, I'm not sure what they were expecting.. The cut-out is very well thought out as you can take photos one handed with this flip case, previously you awkwardly had to use one hand to stop the cover from blocking the cameras! The always on display automatically senses you are using this case, and when closed keeps the display centered in the cut-out.

Absolutely fantastic and very functional wallet case. My S22 Ultra looks awesome. The other wallet cases are huge and can't fit to car phone holder. This one is ok and also can charge wireless. The functionality of front window the best. I can answer calls without openning - that's great. The lack of space for credit cards is an advantage not defect. Well done Samsung. The best for me

I bought the smart clear view cover for the S20 ultra and was so pleased I ordered one for my new S22 ultra. Dissapointed to say the least it is made from plastic, has an awful texture and no protection on the front window! It's just a hole!! If like me you are buying this case after having one previously don't, it's not even close to the quality of previous versions.

I've used Clear View and S View cases for my Galaxy Note phones previously, so was expecting similar functionality. Unfortunately this case, instead of having a clear plastic window has a cut-out instead, which along with not providing protection for your screen allows dust and other debris in under the cover. On its own this issue would be annoying but its compounded by it not serving any use except seeing the time and who is calling you, yes you can answer a call through it, but all notifications are denoted by a small orange dot, you can't see whether a notification is an email, text message or other app, you have to open the cover to view it which kind of defeats the reason for having the case. Previous versions had this ability with additional functionality as well such as being able to use Spotify and read messages. The build quality is pretty poor too with rough edges and a more plastic finish. Disappointing and not what I was expecting.

A hole in a case that lets you see the time. A case that is supposed to protect the screen yet which has a hole in it. Get your head around this. There is a HOLE in the case! You'll end up with a screen that gets scratched in the top right corner even though the phone is in a case that's supposed to protect the screen. UNBELIEVABLE!

Purchases this case sight unseen with my Samsung S22 Ultra. The Samsung smart 'clear view' for the S22 Ultra does not have a translucent panel in that top right corner as you would expect - it is simply a hole cut in the cover so you now have a section of your screen that can get scratched in your bag or briefcase. There is NOTHING classy about this case; it looks cheap and the cover on mine won't even close flat. I REALLY suggest you see this case in person before you make any decision about purchasing it. If you want an expensive, thick, unattractive and semi utilitarian case that could be wiped clean with hospital grade cleaner without damaging it, then this may be for you if you don't mind that it doesn't close properly and has no way to protect part of your screen. If you want a good-looking flip style case that doesn't add bulk and feels pleasant to the touch, this isn't it. Really, Samsung, what were you thinking when you put your brand name on this case???? So so disappointed.

Bought at the same time as my phone via pre-order to protect my expensive new phone, only to find out the viewing area was just a hole, not covered as in previous generation making it, frankly useless as a protective cover. Absolutely shocked and disgusted by this choice of design by Samsung.

Such a great case. It feels great as soon as you put it on the phone. The s view window is perfectly cut out for the ultras cameras to see though when the case is open.i feel it will protect in light drops.
