Para que no vuelva a engañar, ese SEK se añade al original, por lo que es necesario tener los dos aparatitos siempre ( modelos HU8500 por lo menos), por lo que es un TIMO. Se pierden conexiones (ARC, MHR), no hay posibilidad de HDR. Para mi SAMSUNG ha engañado a todos con su EVOLUTION, desde su lanzamiento ha sido un engaño.

tengo una magnifica tv Samsung,pero antigua ,ya no podia ver Youtube,Netflix me salia con una configuracion antigua,diferente a las demas tv que tengo en casa ,era muy lenta en la conexion con Wifi,vamos que estuve mirando Tv y no me convencia ninguno,me decante por la opcion del KIT y puedo decir que es espectacular,manejo con un solo mando,tanto la TV como el decodificador de moviestar+,y parece que he comprado una tv nueva.Yo recomiendo este producto totalmente ,me supongo que lo primero es comprobar que es compatible y si lo es aseguro que moderniza la tv

Kanon produkt til min gamle H8005 Curved! Etter flere år med en tv som begynte å bli treig og funksjoner som er utgått, ble dette redningen. Endelig kunne jeg få satellitt signaler ved bruk av Catcr (single cabel) som ikke var støttende på gamle softwaren på TV. Endte i mellomtiden å kjøpe meg en Q70R for å få bedre App støtte, og helt digg å kunne få en gammel tv til å få like god brukeropplevelse som en nyere tv! Tommel opp Samsung for dette produktet :-) Dog kunne ønsket meg at Evolution kittet hadde harr støtte for ARC tilkobling og 4x HDMI isteden for bare 3. men alt i alt et godt produkt for å piffe opp en gammelt produkt til å føles ut som nytt uten at lommeboka blir flådd :-)

This device is just a media player (think Apple TV or Roku). It's shaped like a One Connect box, but doesn't actually function like one. If you have a set like the HU9000 or similar it does not connect directly to the TV (unlike the SEK-3500, which was a true evolution kit). You will have to daisy-chain the SEK-4500 to the existing One Connect Box via a HDMI port, leaving both boxes connected. It leaves redundant interfaces - it doesn't replace the inbuilt one, just adds an additional interface layer on top of it - and removes features like ARC, MHL, and 3D (if your TV supported it). It really is just an Apple TV, Roku, or other media player, but with fewer apps and a crappier OS. Don't bother with it!

Hat meinen "alten Fernseher" auf den neuesten Stand gebracht. Eigentlich nicht, den das Upgrade-Gerät steht jetzt separat und muss über HDMI angeschlossen werden (also ist eigenständig), obwohl eigentlich die Vorgänger Versionen dieses am Gerät angesteckt hatten. Leider muss man sich komplett umorientieren weil die Menüführung nicht mehr wie vorher funktioniert und auch nur mit der mitgelieferten Fernbedienung bedienbar ist. Sie läuft jetzt flüssig. Die Updatesoftware steht nur über die Webseite zur Verfügung, den erst damit ist die Aufnahmefunktion überhaupt verfügbar.

Did try Samsung (5 pcs), but all of them became outdated after very short time. (No longer smart TV). Tried Evolution KIT 2014*/2015/2018=SEK-4500 - way to expensive and none of them adds functions or new features that can be used now. Crap product and add-on. Way better to stay away from your not-so-smart TV and go with Apple TV or Google Chromecast / Google TV and a simple monitor with HDMI/USB without your Samsung Not smart features / failuers. Noise from fan, extra power and slow startup, bad update and short life makes all Smart TV from Samsung a bad buy.

When I learned about the sek4500 I was very excited. I ran out and bought one without reading any reviews. Well what a mistake buying one was. This device is more of an add on then a true evo kit. The sek4500 works through an older evo kit or TV not a stand alone unit. Its more like a interface overlay then a evo kit. My Harmony remote will not work with 2 different evo kits and thats only one of the issues. I always buy a Samsung phone and also own 5 Samsung tv's in our house, but after this misleading product maybe its time to try Sony for the next tv.

i bought 2 new frame tv this year and bought this evo kit for my parents which have 55" es8000 and maybe it is not the same upgrade kit as used to be but...my parents are very happy with that because they got: 1. same smart hub as my frame tvs. 2. faster response from remote control. 3. samsung tv+ with tons of channels which is more than enough for them to cut the cable. yes, i would recommend this product if you don't want to buy a new tv.

Habe seit ca. 2 Wochen die SEK 4500 und habe bis gestern noch nie so viel mit dem Samsung helpdesk telefoniert..... nach ca. 5 Anrufen läuft der Fernseher wieder. Naja. Ab und an schaltet sich der TV einfach aus oder auch gut er lässt sich erst gar nicht einschalten. Dann Stecker raus und Neustart. Liebe ITler von Samsung entwirft endlich mal eine anständige Settopbox zum nachrüsten und ich hab' euch wieder lieb. Zwinker.

Hatt denne i 14 dager, lyden faller ut av synkronisering fra tid til annen og tv-en må restartes for synkronisering igjen (veldig irriterende, regner med software fix), tilkoblede enheter som feks ps4 skrur seg alltid på ved oppstart (ønsker at dette kan aktiveres/deaktiveres i menyen) jeg er klar over Hdmi-cec / Anynet+ funksjonene men her må det flere alternativer til. Utenom disse feilene gjør boksen det den lover.

It does what it says. I'm not sure what these other reviewers are talking about. Netflix says HDR on their HDR compatible titles only when HDR is capable of playing on your device. It never said that before I connected the SEK-4500. Even my AppleTV 4K. Before the max setting I could set on my AppleTV was 4K SDR. After connecting the SEK-4500, my AppleTV now sa 4K HDR. So, it does do what it says it's supposed to do.

Super Bild, tolle Farben und einfache weil intuitive Bedienung mit einer sehr eleganten Fernbedienung. Allerdings funktioniert Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) selbst mit Samsung-Geräten nur sporadisch, der Smarthub fällt immer wieder aus und eine externe Festplatte, zur Aufnahme und Timeshift, habe ich nach ca. 1/2 Jahr noch immer nicht zum laufen bekommen.

Denna box har inte ARC kanal i HDMI porten och kopplas till din TV via HDMI och Inte via evolution anslutning som Evolution kit 3500 använder. Vilket gör att man tappar viktiga funktioner. Detta framgår ingenstans förutom när man läser manualen som medföljer. Kommer returnera denna.

Dette Evolution Kit SEK-4500 er fremragende til mit gamle FDH tv ES8005. Billedkvaliteten er meget bedre end med mit tidligere Kit SEK-1000 fra 2013. Og selvfølgelig er smart tv meget hurtigere. Dejligt at DR-TV nu også fås som en APP.

Kjøpte denne for å oppgradere min 78js9005. SEK4500 må seriekobles med den gamle SEK3500 via HDMI. Resultet er flere bokser, flere ledninger. Skuffet. Benyttet returrett.

Jeg kjøpte denne for å erstatte den Evolution Kit 3500 som fulgte med tv SJ9505. Men det gikk ikke. Man må koble Evolution Kit 4500 gjennom Evolution Kit 3500.

Some of the information about the product that I have found online is misleading. It is not simply a ROKU. The SEK-4500 is absolutely processing video from the external devices that you have connected and I have noticed an increase in picture quality among the sources that I use. The OS on the evolution kit makes the TV feel modern again and the universal remote is very nice. 4K content is being passed to my HU8550 despite the recommendation to not use the one MHL HDCP 2.2 port. Using developer tools, I was able to see that the quality of the stream is not denigrated at the source and is coming through as a 4K high bitrate stream (before installing the EVO Kit this only occurred if I connected the device to the one HDCP 2.2. MHL port available on my TV). The device is lacking firmware updates as the built in apps have a preference to stream with HDR enabled despite not changing the backlight and contrast of the TV. If HDR is not possible with the TV, it should be disabled for TVs that don't support it. If it is possible, it should automatically modify the backlight. Even better, allow the user to disable HDR as some of the older displays supported by this EVO kit do not have the display brightness to make using it worthwhile. Also, devices connected do support 3D for older TVs that used to support this, however, a firmware update should be provided to switch to 3D automatically (currently you need to manually enable 3D with the old remote on the TV). Finally, although ARC is not supported on the SEK, the instruction manual (that is only provided on the European website for some reason) says to connect your receiver to the ARC port on original TV.
