[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this and opened at once and straight out off the box the phone look quality,I done a quick boot up and transferred all off my data from my old phone which was very easy to do ,The screens are brilliant they very vibrant and clear , when the phone is unfolded it revels a massive screen I love this idea , this phone is heavier than my old phone but only slightly , I have played Fortnite and a few other games which is great to play on I have watched a movie which is also fantastic .The camera is very sharp and easy to use the sound is amazing from the speakers and very clear , all in all 256gb off storage this is a great phone

Ideal for watching TV shows, movies and playing games. The weight is good considering the functionality that it provides, I am really enjoying this new technology and I have already recommended this to friends and family who were all very interested to see the latest trending phone in the market. 4* Product, my only pet peeve is the battery life if you are watching a lot of content but realistically I know it's never going to be plausible to get a "perfect" battery time/life. Good job on this model!

This being the fifth generation of fold, you can really see how much thought has gone into everything to get the design just right. I love the flex mode so that I can capture a scene from infront of the camera and I found out how to take selfies with the best rear camera but using it in foldout mode. I will add my Azure work profile next and put it to the test to see if I really can leave the laptop behind! Excellent product. Looking forward to learning so much more about it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received my Fold 5 last night and I'm still configuring it but so far has been a very pleasant experience. Screen's are very crisp and clear, the inside screen does have a prominent crease but if I'm honest you don't actually pay it any attention. It's quite a thick phone but it's a foldable so to be expected. Screen's are very bright and no issue seeing them in daylight. Can't comment on battery life as have had screen in almost continually during set up, will post an update upon normal day to day usage. I do worry about the exposed camera lenses and subsequently have ordered lense protection, I have also ordered the Samsung case with fold pen so will report that usability too as I use the phone more.

The Phone is very good and I enjoy using it, however when the screen failed after using it for a year and within the warranty period, the repair was refused as there was scratches on the outer casing which were just wear and tear scratches nowhere near the screen or failure, I was then left with a non functional phone that through no fault of my own had to repair, I wouldn't personally recommend buying one of these as the as the screen has a failure point which i think is a design flaw at the screen fold and is very expensive to repair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generally I have been sceptical about using any android phone but the Samsung Z fold 5 512gb phone has changed my perspective and wouldn’t hesitate recommending to others. Right from the packaging to usage this phone has been nothing but phenomenal. Phone was neatly packaged and honestly not as bulky as I thought it would be when folded. I’m also very impressed with the colour of my phone. The phone's double sim feature is also a plus to the phone as you can keep one phone instead of two if you need a business and personal number. Performance wise I think it cannot be compared especially when unfolded and multitasking with different apps. Overall, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes with a premium price tag, it offers a unique and refined experience that sets it apart in the ever-crowded smartphone market. If you're looking for a device that combines innovation, performance, and multitasking capabilities, the Z Fold 5 is hard to beat.

There is a long list of pros and my favorite is that  I can fold it when I want and open it when I need more space. I can make calls, text my mates, or browse the websites on the front screen, and if I need more details, all I need to do is unfold my mobile. The number of details in the picture and its quality are unbelievable.  Number two on my list is multitasking. I can open and use three apps at the same time. There are no signs of any lag or speed drop. Everything runs smoothly and fast. The best thing is that I can save all opened apps as a screen shortcut, and the next time I want to use them, all I need to do is tap one icon on the home screen.I really like how easy is to connect my Samsung Fold 5 to my Samsung smartwatch and Samsung laptop. I can browse eg. my phone gallery instantly on my PC screen. Sound quality and volume are other features that make this mobile super cool.

It's such a wonderful and useful phone, as someone who uses cooking recipes off of YouTube having the bigger screen is so useful, and the smaller screen is so much easier to hold and put in your pocket. This phone has so many different yet useful things in it. Not just that but it's so fun to use, I'm obsessed with it. It's allowed me to use my phone more often as every bit of technology in it is useful. The cameras are also wonderful and they're so realistic, I don't need to edit any of my photos anymore as the camera captures exactly what I want it too. Watching TV has never been easier due to the large size, when on youtube you can fold your phone half way and use it as a stand and watch your favourite channels. In this phone if you tap the screen you can get the time without getting the screen being as bright as the sun which has also helped me in the morning because when I wake up I just want the time. To actually turn your phone on you have to press the on button. If your thinking about buying this phone, just buy it, I could go on for ages about how amazing this phone is!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since the foldable phones have been released i have always been curious and in envy of having one, but i am ecstatic to say i now am a proud owner of the brand new galazy fold 5! And it has exceeded my expectations, the phone is not at all bulky as i originaly thought it would be and once open it is super slim and very smart looking. The phone and the newly designed hinge seem very sturdy. Very nicely and well presented in its box upon opening. So the magic begins once i turned on the device and easily got set up within minutes. I started exploring the endless possibilities that is packed within the fold, amazing quality screen and in tablet mode a lovely big screen to watch movies and tv on, and of corse play my games which makes it a honour to play now compared to my previous small smart phones screen. This device is basically a computer that is capable of pleasure fun and office work as you can easily multitask different apps at the same time on one large screen. The camera also does not dissapoint, it has everything one would want, great clear pictures and videos. Samsung has truly delivered on this device, i am in love and would say anybody on the fence as i was before, go ahead and buy this phone, it surely does not dissapoint!

Lets be Honest, the foldable market is booming for many manufacturers wanting a piece of the pie, what sets the fold series apart from the others in the bunch is the refinement in the software, Samsung makes several key under the hood as well as UI element changes to make the OS foldable friendly and optimised, from the new dock at the bottom when open to the multi tasking this is what makes foldables the future, the ability to provide this user the increased real estate when opened, but if the software is poor this will fail and this is where Samsung is unmatched, the hardware is not too different from the last iteration with the same cameras , but the key improvements come from the hinge which now allows it to fold shut rather than a water drop. the screen is brighter and the crease is slightly more subtle. with all the things to love, it feels a bit disjointed the outer screen feels like a separate device rather than a cohesive unit. it is a bit weighty in the hands and the outer screen is a bit narrow making it harder to type on compared to a normal slab. Overall i would definitely rate the device a 8.5/10 and would definitely recommend it to all looking for a larger foldable Join the fold, dont dear it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I switched from a competing non android based brand. I have previously been sceptical of the build quality of other brands devices but must say I was pleasantly surprised. From the initial packaging and unboxing experience which both felt premium to the overall design and build quality of the fold 5. Features wise I don’t think there’s anything that could compare to everything this phone has to offer. One of the features I have been particularly impressed with is the wifi6e which means this phone is actually capable of quicker WiFi speeds than a typical wired network, I have been able to max out my 1Gb fibre connection something that has not been possible on previous devices I have owned. The size of the screen when unfolded is obviously super impressive and makes for a great device for bedtime reading and productivity tasks, additionally when folded you can still use the device just as effectively for quickly replying to messages or using apps. Another area of the phone I have been really impressed with is the battery life, it’s lasted multiple days on standby and I can easily get 1.5 - 2 days usage out of the phone. Overall I have been very impressed with this phone, both from a build quality, and features perspective and I would certainly consider future fold devices when considering replacements or upgrades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone is stunning. It’s years since I’ve had anyone take interest in a phone – let’s be honest, they’ve all been very samey. But not now. The Fold5 definitely has the ‘wow factor’. But it’s a fascinating question as to whether you’ll want one or not. The positives are: - all the screens are stunning - the inside screen looks wonderful when folded flat - Samsung’s super silky-smooth refresh rate makes using this phone such a joy - the software is optimised brilliantly, with apps looking great with the phone closed or (especially) open (with a special shout-out for the way the multi-window functionality works – fantastic!) - the design feels so premium and solid - I found it to be a lot lighter than I was expecting A few small cautions: - the camera placement makes it very wobbly when open on a flat surface - the very thin notifications looks strange when the phone is closed - the aspect ration can be awkward at points – e.g. when using half the screen a movie looks incredible, but a 16:9 YouTube requires some awkward letter-boxing - I found the inside screen quite susceptible to smudges One last positive and caution… - the form-factor makes you open the phone a lot! Depending on your preference and perhaps how busy your life is – that could be a wonderful thing or a challenging thing. But they have designed this phone to be opened more often than not. One thing is certain – when you do, it’s a stunning and awesome experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like many people, I live on my phone. The problem is, sometimes it’s just not enough. Tablets are great, but who really wants to carry that around too? The solution?? The Samsung Fold 5! As a phone (when it’s folded), it does all I need a phone to do. I can take photos, use the internet, go on my social media, and all that good stuff but you open it up and start to realise what you’ve been missing! First, the way you can be using the cover screen to, for example, look at google maps then open up to continue on the main screen is just so different, and so cool! And when open, the key board splits into two allowing easy typing with two hands. The multi-window is fab, and I have found myself having YouTube, WhatsApp and say google home all open together allowing an ease of use just not possible with a “normal” phone. The large, main screen is clear, and so much better for watching videos, since having the fold 5 I’ve been watching more than ever, defaulting to watching over reading reviews etc. But the benefits go beyond a large screen. An issue I have is not being able to stand my phone up against a wall or something to get a shot of the family with me in it, it’s always pointing up in the air! Not with the fold 5, just sit it down and fold it to the angle you need. And with the ability to show the potential phone on both screens, you can really get the best family photos. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to getting the Samsung Z Fold 5 I was very sceptical about the concept but thought I would give the phone a chance and see if the craze of the foldable phone is a fad or the future on the mobile industry. Keeping my previous phone which was the Samsung S22 Ultra just in case I didn't get on with the Z Fold 5, I don't know why I worried - the Samsung Z Fold 5 is an amazing phone! The look and feel of the device is of such a high quality but with adding the folding screen makes the phone incredible to use. The brilliance of the Samsung Smart Switch software took the hassle out of the transfer from my old phone with the added bonus that when the phone is closed, the outer screen accommodating the same layout as my previous phone. Apprehensive that the outer screen would be impractical for using the device, I need not of worried as it is a surprisingly efficient way to use the device and allows you to use all the same applications without issues as they display pleasantly for use. Then when you open the device to show the main display, the 7.6-inch screen is such a nice experience to use that you don't want to close it as its a pure joy. The colours are vibrant and deep, any fear of seeing the crease in the fold dissipates and it's not noticeable with normal use. The only worry that I have with this phone is how much use my tablet will now get, instead of grabbing my tablet for a bigger screen, I no longer doing this due to the big 7.6Inch screen on this phone the tablet is starting to feel a little redundant. In summary, I'm so happy I took the plunge with this getting this upgrade, its such a nice device to use I find it hard to put down which is fine as lastly, the battery lasts for ages..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is an incremental but worthwhile improvement over the previous generation, reducing the handset thickness and improving the feel of the hinge, but keeping the excellent inside screen and narrow outer screen unchanged. The reduction in thickness makes it slimmer, and closes the gap of the Fold 4, making it visually more elegant, and excluding dust and fluff. The small outside screen is good for anything you'd use a normal phone for, and being a little narrower than average I think lets you maintain a better grip when it's closed. The unique feature is the enormous inside screen, and it doesn't disappoint. It's big and bright, and with a barely-noticeable fold line - ideal for watching movies, streams, browsing the web or reading books or magazines. There’s an under-screen camera for videoconferencing, hidden until used, and I can honestly say I haven't noticed it in my usage. The folding feature is utilised by Flex mode, which when the screen is half open functions like a laptop - the lower half flat on the table can show a keyboard or media controls, with the upper half folded upwards used as an email composition window or for media display. Multitasking is another big advantage of the big screen - you can split the screen so you have the equivalent of two regular phone screens, and have another as a floating window. It's a great way to keep information on-screen while composing a message or filling in a form. The Fold 5 comes with a new chipset and a big 12Gb of RAM, so more apps stay open in the background, and in my testing, there were no slowdowns or stuttering in apps or the home screen. It also has a big battery (or actually two) and this means lots of screen time - I got about seven hours of screen-on time, which means you could use it for pretty much all of a working day. In conclusion it’s a powerful, flexible, elegant device and a joy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As my first foldable phone I was most excited about the possibilities for productivity and multitasking over even the mini tablet screen experience and I was not disappointed! The high resolution and very bright screens, both inside and out, provide a rich, smooth and seamless experience when consuming media and transitioning between the outer and inner screens on the fly. Most apps adapt well and instantly between modes and the powerful latest gen Snapdragon processor runs everything I have thrown at it - be it games, videos, calls and browsing... often side by side at the same time! I was most concerned about the battery life being a foldable... and after initial 5 days of use, I can say I am most impressed by it! The Fold5 can last happily over 16hours from a full charge with medium to heavy use so no worries there for power users getting a full days use off a full charge. The inner screen and hinge mechanism appears to work well to both protect the clam format and not cause as harsh a crease on the inner screen compared to other foldable on the market at the moment. Running several apps side by side on the inner screen is amazing and fluid. The Fold5 comes into its own with the level of customisation it allows. Being able to save multiple app layouts to be able to simple tap to open them all at the same time later is amazing and a game changer for productivity too. The cameras were the only disappointing thing for me. Its less the sharpness of the images but the over saturation of the colours. If there were more contract and colour options for the camera this would be an easy fix. Its very nice being able to take selfies using a live viewfinder by flipping the phone around to use the screen and rear cameras. If you have a Fold4, perhaps wait for the next gen but if you haven't yet had a foldable device before and are on the fence get off that fence and give it a try if this is within budget! You wont regret it.

I have wanted the Samsung Fold since the first model 5 years ago, watching all the reviews year on year. The competition is picking up but the Fold 5 still looks like the best, so this year I thought I would take the plunge! This is the 256gigabytes model with 12gigabytes of ram, and has the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is the fastest in the market! Like other Samsung devices, it uses Android 13, layered with Samsungs own user interface... With alot of improvements vs Vanilla Android. The phone looks beautiful closed, and fits perfectly in the hand and pocket. The outer screen is narrower then conventional phones, like the S23, but it's easy to hold and use. Ideal for notifications, sending messages or watching a video. Also perfect for controlling your favourite tunes on the move. The inner screen is a 7.6ins and looks amazing. It's perfect to browse the web and watching favourite videos at home or commuting to work. Setting up the handset was ease being a seasoned android user, but I've read it easy to move over from iOS. The device is expensive and an investment, so I purchased a Samsung case which also includes a SPen, which is slim and easy to install. so can be used with your fingers or with a special Pen. The device also has a great camera. Photos can be taken using the out or inner screen. The quality is amazing and still looks like one of the best on the market. You can use the fold as a stand when taking photos. Very useful when taking a.group picture. With regards to daily usage - I spend mornings commute 1hr on a train and this phone is perfect for reading and sending work emails. The Fold5 makes it very easy, especially when I am sent a spread sheet! No more zooming in and out!! It's also great when wanting to catch up on my fav shows while on the move. What's my over all impression? Well... This is an amazing device, and far better then what I expected. Like all the 2023 Samsung models, it's fast, easy to use and an amazing build which feels great to hold and use. Did I make the right choice buying this item... Definitely!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On taking out of the box I was impressed how light and sleek the phone felt. Not at all bulky. The Blue colour is beautiful, a nice shade making a change from the normal dark navy, black or white. It opens and closes nicely and securely. Switches on easily by pressing and holding the middle side button. It was so easy to set up by just following onscreen simple questions and instructions then clicking to the next screen. The screen brightness is impressive as is the depth of colour. Call volume is very good and I have had no instances of calls dropping. It has been working flawlessly for me and switches quickly between web pages and apps. Being able to use the phone from the front screen instead of opening it the whole way is so handy. The Large Fold screen has been pre-fitted with a screen protector so you just have to put one on the outside screen or get a case, which I have decided to and Im being ultra careful in the meantime whilst waiting my cases arrival. After all if you purchase a phone like this I think its worth looking after. It can be used with an S pen though one is not supplied. It did not come with a charger which is obviously necessary and does add a bit extra expense if you have to purchase one instead of using your old charger. I choose the Blue model with 512gb of storage which should be more than enough for my needs hopefully. I was considering the memory size for a while wondering if less would be fine but I do take lots of photos and the camera having a 50 mega pixel option I wanted to be sure because the bigger mega pixel photos take up more storage so hence choosing the 512 gb version. The night photography is unreal with amazing results. No separate camera will be required if you own one of these phones. It also has an ultra wide sensor and has a triple lens set up. The option to take smaller file size photos is incredibly handy for saving memory space and the photos are still really good quality. The main reasons I chose this phone was for the camera and the large screen experience. It has not disappointed. I would have preferred an s pen included but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. I am still playing around with the different features of which there are many, but I am totally thrilled with it so far. Definitely grabs attention and is a conversation piece!

The fold lineup is one of the biggest changes to phones for a very long time, possibly the biggest change since they got touch screens. The improved functionality in a still compact form amazes me. One thing that has constantly disappointed me over the last 5 or so years has been what ships with the phone, namely the boxes. Unboxing an expensive phone used to be an experience itself, the engineering and craftsmanship all added to the experience and excitement of the expensive purchase. These days, you just get a phone and a box, if you're lucky you get a charger wire but no charger, given the price of these things you'd think there'd at least be the option to request a free one. With the negativity out the way, onto the phone. After removing the packing you're presented with a gleaming feat of engineering magnificence. Closed over the phone fits perfectly in the hand, open up and it's perfect for two (I'm writing this on it now). The front screen is the perfect size for me, tall enough to get enough information on one screen and narrow enough that I can type perfectly well with one hand without having to stretch my thumb over and press a few other keys on the way. Yes, the writing is a bit smaller but I prefer it, the screen has a high enough pixel density that it still looks sharp. For your standard day to day tasks the front screen is perfect, whether it's reading emails or the news, perusing shopping apps or taking pictures of your dog. When you need to do a little more is where this device comes into it's own. Need to write a lengthy email or review? Just crack that badboy open! The screen is the perfect size for extensive typing, my thumbs can overlap slightly in the middle so no more stretching! The screen is the perfect size for watching videos, even when you have the screen split to multitask. There's so many use cases for different people it'd be impossible to list them all. I'm an IT nerd and this device makes it so easy to maintain & monitor servers/services on the go, you can remote desktop on the main screen without squinting! The cameras aren't the best but they're good enough and the speakers aren't as loud as my S23 Ultra but that's not why we want this device. One of people's main concerns with this is the crease, while it is noticeable with the screen off, it is an improvement from my fold3 and holding it straight on while using you forget it's there.

The phone comes in a sizable box as the device is fully open (and protected), however as with all modern flagship devices it comes with just a USB C cable Setup is simple and straight forward, and can be done on both the outer and inner screens, you can copy over using Samsung Smartswitch from either android or iOS Once setup there are a couple of things to note, the inside screen is amazing, perfect size for content, and using multiple apps at the same time, remember when you used to have to swap between open apps, with this this is a thing of the past. Watching videos or images on this inner screen is an amazing experience, and with the speakers on both sides of the handset when open you get a truly immersive experience, and the fold down the centre is barely noticeable (even if you can feel it when you run your fingers over). The inner display is 120hz so gaming is also a joy, but its worth remembering this is a folding display and it is not as tough, there is a warning when set up about fingernails, etc so ensure you heed these warnings. Performance wise this device is no slouch, I’ve experienced no slowdown, no stuttering, nothing, everything you can throw at this device it runs without challenge, anything ran on the front display transfers to the inside once unfolded (and you can set the reverse to happen in the settings). There are a couple of things to note, one being that not all apps make use of the big inner screen, and some you have to restart to get them to use the available space. The other is more of a personal perspective is the outside display is just too narrow, meaning if you use this to type a message, you’re likely to mistype. Cameras on the Fold 5 are good but not the best, it’s a shame given the cost of the device Samsung haven’t included their best cameras, but for general day to day photography it does the job, and it does it well. There is a small camera under the main display, which is well hidden and useable. Its also worth noting that you can use the back cameras for selfies etc by opening the device and the outer screen will become your camera controls Overall if you’re in the market for both a phone and a tablet, this fits the best of both worlds

I'm all about multi-tasking and I even have 4 monitors for my PC so there are countless situations where I wished I could do more at once on my phone and this fold5 is the answer. I am a very heavy phone user and my last phone was not only full at 256gb but also started to get slow, I've transferred most of it over to this and this phone breezes through all the same tasks with ease. Being able to have multiple apps open at once and even the option to drag and drop makes the daily use case for me an improvement to my lifestyle. Another thing I love is being able to copy things one by one from 2 apps which are open beside each other, this is useful where something like bitwarden doesnt autofill due to a pages incompatibility. Although I've only used Bixby on my projector, this is my first opportunity to experience it daily and I feel like its extremely well integrated where I find myself using bixby to do even the smallest of tasks such as muting my phone. The integration is great and is on a level you wont find in most phones. Folding a screen in half took me half a day to get used to and the crease is really tiny that you wont notice it on the long term, in fact its not even visible when looking at the screen head-on. Thanks to the big screen I noticed I do a lot of PC tasks on my phone now, its easy to browser and most apps even look like the desktop version. Ive been getting used to swapping to a lot of samsung apps including the keyboard and the lens replacement for scanning text out of images as these are well integrated with bixby and just work better with this phone. The weight of the phone isnt an issue at all although I just swapped to a new case which is quite heavy in comparison to samsungs case. I think the only things that could improve are having a wider selection of phone cases (with hinge protection, a kickstand, something to latch my finger around and drop tested)...as well as allowing for customisation of bixby alarm news...this feature plays a random nice tune to wake up to while telling you about the weather and latest news...just that the news so far has been depressing to put in a nice way. I also miss being able to rename any app. Other than these everything else has been a perfect experience. Now that Ive experienced a folding phone there is no way I can go back to a regular phone, i'm more productive now and this has definitely improved my quality of life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality/Form factor/touch and feel: As an owner of a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, I was more than impressed with the Fold5. It is simply sleek, eye catching, easy on the eye, and oozes that bit of luxurious you expect from such an expensive flagship phone. The build quality from the body, the hinges to the buttons is superb. Screens: Both screens are fantastic and have their distinct use cases. The outside screen, while slim, is brilliant and probably my go to screen for 80% of the time. Grab the phone, quickly check news, messages, social media, weather and so on is easily done on this very crisp screen. When I am looking to have more screen available to see more on the screen, then the large foldable screen is ideal. The seemless switch from outside to inside is a huge plus. Multitasking, which even on my S23 Ultra is a problem, is straight forward and makes finally sense on the Fold5. I was always sceptical about the crease, which honestly so far had put me off from foldable devices. But having used and tested the Fold5 for a few days, I do not even notice it. And it does not impact the usability at all. Performance/battery life: What can I say. Fast as fast can be. Not that it matters that much for a standard user like me. But it is really noticeable even compared to my S23 Ultra. Multitasking is now problem, even with apps asking for a lot of juice. And then the battery life. Sceptical at first I found that it easily supports a full day of medium to heavy use. So that is good too. Cameras/Photos/Videos: Let us talk about the only area, this phone does not excel. Zoom photos. It simply has not the hardware that the Ultra has. And the algoritm to extrapolate anything beyond 10x is not really nailing it. Comparing 20x or even 30x photos make it clear, this has to be a fringe use case if you want to love this phone. On the other hand i was more than surprised, that everything els like low light, normal snaps, videos up to 10x zoom were more than comparable if not better than the results of the S23 Ultra. So if you don't need the zoom pictures, then the Fold5 is brilliant also in this department. If Zoom is your thing, you might have more fun with a DSLR camera. Stylus: I am a big fan of the stylus. And with a slim case with integrated stylus, the fact that there is no slot for it in the phone itself becomes meaningless. A great leap from the samsung z fold 4. Lighter, more pleasantly looking with the less gap at the hinge, much better battery life with a great performance from 8gen2, and a much better display both on the front and the inside. Overall a very satisfied buy and was quite surprised with the innovation and better cameras with better AI and computational photography. Maybe a bigger battery, better cameras and faster charging next year would be a great welcome.

Great phone, so far no issues. Upgraded from oppo find n2 flip, which did have a slightly better camera strangely but not a problem. The crease isn't as hidden as the oppo also but most of the time it isn't too obvious. Very premium look and feel of the phone I must say

The mobile itself is amazing quality and it exceeded my expectations especially fold spine. It's snug and smooth. The display quality is amazing on the mobile and large screen. It is like a mini laptop in your pocket. The mobile is very easy to set up and I have had no lag on internet and between apps. The quality of the audio is great via ear or speaker. I do think the loudspeaker could be louder. I do wish a plug was given with the mobile. The camera and video quality are mind blowing. Overall I would recommend this mobile but it is pricey.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 5th Generation Samsung Galaxy Fold has accomplished the unthinkable and has managed to improve on the already Incredible Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 from last year. The newly designed flex hinge is a major improvement and no longer has a visible gap between the two sides of the phone and means I no longer have to worry about carrying my keys and phone int the same pocket. Another highly noticeable improvement this year is the brightness when using 7.6” Main Display, this a major improvement from last year and means I can now use my fold device to watch videos when out and about even in direct sunlight. My favourite feature continues to be Samsung’s Multi Window allowing me to have several apps open at once whether it be as simple as texting while watching a video, or copying and pasting information from one app to another, with this feature the possibilities are endless. Overall, I think this fold is a great improvement upon the previous generations of the fold and Samsung continue to somehow find a way to improve the Z Fold line-up year after year. If you are looking for a new phone now is definitely the time to buy a fold, and the Samsung Galaxy Fold5 is for sure the best foldable yet!!

It is a bit heavy but that’s to be expected. The quality of the screen and the photos is amazing, I’m really happy with it. I don’t think I’ll want to go back to a non folding phone again, having that big clear screen is amazing. The phone itself has also nice and clear sound. It pairs well with my Samsung watch and as a pair they’ve replaced all my other products. I’ve started to use the phone over my tv for watching YouTube as it’s so clear, and being able to split the screen is a dream.

I was also slightly concerned about unfolding the device and how fragile it is. During unboxing, I noticed that it’s heavier than a typical smartphone but this is understandable with a folding device. Unfolding was actually pretty smooth and exciting! Upon first use, I was really impressed with the screen size as it feels more like a tablet than a smartphone. I soon realised that there are two modes: tablet mode and two-screen mode. While each has their uses, I prefer the latter as it allows for multitasking. This has changed the way I use the device as it feels more like a computer (or two). It lets you perform a complex task that would normally be challenging on a regular smartphone. The outer screen is also useful but obviously much smaller in size. This smartphone has the latest processor (2nd generation) and you can really feel it. Multitasking and switching between apps and screens is seamless thanks to 12GB RAM. Battery life is pretty impressive, too. Despite the screen size, I’ve used it for the whole working day without charging. If you use more conservatively, it should last you a whole day. I’d recommend it to the user who often switch between apps as this is the main benefit of the double screen. As it seems very fragile, one word of caution: handle with care.

The device has a sleek design and the hinge mechanism feels sturdy, which makes it a satisfying device to use. Additionally, the 7.6-inch AMOLED display is simply stunning - the colours are vibrant and everything looks incredibly sharp. The camera is equipped with a range of lenses and advanced features, the Z Fold 5's camera captures images with impressive clarity and remarkable detail which will caters to anyone who is a casual photographer to the enthusiasts. What I appreciate the most about the Z Fold 5 is how it enhances my productivity. With its versatile screens and multitasking capabilities, I can seamlessly switch between different work tasks and accomplish more. It's amazing to think about how much more I can achieve with the Z Fold 5 compared to my old Samsung smartphone. Samsung hasn't failed with the foldable AMOLED display, which is undoubtedly the highlight of the Z Fold 5, setting a higher standard for the market. I was sceptical of the fold mechanism at first, especially considering this is my first foldable phone, however, it is extremely durable and robust. The glaringly obvious advantage of a foldable phone, is an extremely large screen, which is compact, due to its foldable nature, making it very convenient to multi-task, whilst keeping it comfortable enough to carry. The exterior has a beautiful sleek and polished design, which exudates the elegance, commonly associated with Samsung phones. It is no surprise that the newest iteration of the foldable line comes with bleeding hardware, such as a cutting-edge processor and ample amount of RAM, enough to power multitasking, such as gaming and working. This is especially important whilst the phone is in "Tablet Mode", which allows the operation to be fast and fluid. As with all devices, there are drawbacks to consider, the first and foremost is the price tag of the phone. It isn't the most affordable option, however, it can be justified considering the innovations this phone has to offer. Another issue is the screen crease at the boundary of the fold is sometimes noticeable, at a certain angle, but for the most part is imperceptible. This is a phone I would definitely recommend to friends and family, as it is unmistakably another unique masterpiece and showcases the potential of foldable devices.

I need a phone with a strong battery for travelling, allows me to access all my work applications, whilst still being small enough and light enough for day to day personal use. The Samsung Z Fold 5 is exactly what I had hoped. It is very configurable, fast to use and small enough to slot into my pocket. I also purchased the S Pen case which is perfectly formed. I additionally added a secondory case where i have attached a magsafe magnet which allows me to charge on my car adapter and home charger as well as use my magsafe wallet. So what are my favourite things? Screens, both screens are bright, that inside screen is just perfect for browsing, google Maps, news etc. The battery life and on screentime is great, i am getting around 6-7 hrs of screentime. Samsung extras such as Samsung Pay, Samsung notes etc. work really well and are well integrated. Cameras seem great so far with a very good phone app. The configurability over vanilla Android is great. I can tune and tweek everything, giving me a much more custom phone focused on what I want. Dex works seemlessly as does the casting to my TV. What are the negatives? Hard to really list much so far, perhaps because of the flexibility it makes it more complex to use, but that could be that I am used to doing things one way and now I am having to do it the Samsung way. I do feel a little nervous about opening and shutting the screen. Perhaps its all the bad stories I read in advance of the Fold 4 or maybe its because of the value but I do feel that i am super careful when i close the phone making sure i hold just the corners. Overal, after 4 days of use, i have to say it's awesome. I can't imagine now using a non-foldable, I can use the front with no issues, yet i still have the flexibility of the large screen when i need it. Perfect for work, rest and play.

It is easy and straightforward to setup. This can be done on either the outer or inner screens. The inner screen is fantastic to use when watching movies or playing games it really provides you with a joyful fulfilling experience. You are also able to open multiple apps at the same time and swap between the open apps. One thing I noticed about the galaxy z fold 5 when handling was how slim it is and not very bulky at all. Also when folding the device together it folds completely flat with no gaps between the hinge or screens allowing zero dust or dirt to gather. When unfolding the phone it was easy to do, it doesnt stick or feel stiff but very smooth when opening. Performance wise it is very fast with a powerful processor. Each app loaded very quickly without any issues even when using multiple apps together. The camera is very impressive that delivers good quality, sharp and bright photos and videos. Also when the phone is used outdoors the screen is very bright. Battery life I have found to he exceptional lasting me 2 days after heavy usage. I have found the flex mode to be a very clever feature, I have used this for video calls with my partner who is abroad and I have been able to prop open the phone on the table like a stand and make the video call whilst it is open in the top half of the screen and used the bottom half of the screen to check my emails and other apps. Flex mode is perfect for multitasking. You are also able to customise the cover screen by adding widgets, changing the wallpaper display and with the lock screen you are able to change the style of the font and click and more. Overall I would say it is expensive to buy but a worthwhile investment with all the different features it is a versatile and practical device in all situations and I would definitely recommend anyone to buy.

it is my first foldable phone. I have had few android phones in the past, samsung phones as well, but I always went back to apple and ios after a short while of owning them. Even when I had the legendary s23 ultra, I sold it for an iphone few months later. Now after owning a z fold 5, I can't see myself going to a normal phone again. I love having a tablet in my pocket all the time. It is not perfect, I would have wanted a slightly bigger front screen, some few glitches, but overall, I love it and No one could convince me to go back to any normal phone or iphone. Looking forwards to the zfold 6 and I hope they increase the front screen size as it will be perfect.

Samsung has done some excellent work here to support tablet-style operations. Samsung is locked into a tremendous and still evolving foldable design. Samsung should have included the plug, S-Pen, and earphones. It charges quickly and the battery lasts longer even if you listen to music. The cover display is bigger and better and the main screen is great, despite the still obvious crease. Playing games has been fun with the foldable option. But when not folded the screen is small so needed lots of settings changes to view it better.

I bought ZFold 5 during the new launch, looking at zero gap looks cool, now suddenly the screen at the middle fold have a hairline crack which can be seen on the innerside, it is just very sad, I hope they improve it and i have to send in for repair for a few days which is troublesome as my main working phone. Other than that its a great phone, Im just afraid when the coverage is over will cost a lot to replace the screen

Fantastic phone and it’s a beast all though the price is a lot but it is worth it and it is what it is so come it’s 2023 so I think it’s much better than the fold 4 in so many ways but only downside that I think they should change is the main camera as it should be 200 megapixel just like the Samsung s23 ultra as well as changing the inside big screen camera to one of the other cameras on the Samsung s23 ultra as well as changing the layout of the 3 camera lens on the back and should have a total different body for example like the Google Pixel fold meaning the front display screen and body

Device is great. The hardware performs exceptionally and I am more than happy with the system, however... Samsung account is not required, please stop asking me. I don't use social media and I don't use apps, why are all these things pre installed? 1800 GBP for a phone is tantamount to robbery (though no one forced me to buy it). I have seen RTX 4090 graphic cards cost less and have far more functionality. Device tracking was a real pain to turn off and the auto updating of accounts is also very intrusive. I really don't want to share my life with Korean intelligence agencies...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Fold5 is an amazing piece of kit! It feels super premium straight out of the box and fits nicely in one hand. The larger AMOLED cover screen is super sharp and is a brilliant size to be able to use one handed. The hinge feels just right, allowing for the device to be used at a number of angles. The main internal Dyanamic AMOLED screen is a joy to use, be it for work, gaming or media consumption. There is naturally a crease but I barely notice it and it doesn't impact usage at all. Battery life has been solid so far, especially when using the cover display for most of the day. It's a shame that a charging brick is not included in the box though, especially at this price point. The software is well designed, allowing for seamless transitions when switching from the cover screen to the internal display. Most apps works nicely on the large screen, although there are still some that could do with some development to work correctly. The option to split screen apps with two finger swipes is so easy to do and is an area where devices like this have an advantage. The option of switching to DEX mode is a Samsung benefit, though it's not something I've really needed to use. Beautiful device and it will be hard to go back to a non folding device in the future!

The front-screen allows you to use the phone in the way you normally would, and with a 120Hz refresh rate and crystal clear AMOLED screen it’s certainly impressive by itself. But the ability to fold the phone open and enjoy the full 7.6” inner screen amazing. For mobile gaming, having a device that fits inside your pocket when folded shut, but with a screen big enough to really see the details and enjoy the experience when unfolded is perfection. Its more than powerful enough to run all of the popular titles smoothly and in great detail. The split-screen function allow me to use multi apps at the same time, without having to compromise on size or ability to use them fully. Its very easy to open & move apps between each section of the screen. The photo-preview function that allows the outside screen to show the camera preview to those on the opposite side of the phone is great! The camera quality is second to none, and with 5 cameras across the front screen, inner screen and rear side of the phone, there is no shortage of options for selfies, video calls, video recording or taking snaps whilst travelling. This phone is fast, designed beautiful, and very futuristic. This is a must have for anyone who enjoys the latest and greatest in technology. From form to processing power, this has certainly made a great impression to me. I would definitely recommend.

You should make an upgrade for taking screenshots easier, for example swiping down with finger or nocking on the screen twice. I use my phone for work a lot and most of the time I'm driving and your methods for screenshot are difficult for such a big phone. Plese consider this and do an update. Also the face recognition is not quite responsive and good as it was on my last phone. Maybe you should work on this as well. Other than that until now I'm happy with my new and bigger screen. The beautiful device sits in the box all gorgeous. When you hold it, it’s amazing, sturdy yet elegant. What a beast.! I just want to look at it - the design is just great, what a piece of technology. The hinge is moving smoothly, it opens to whatever angle you want/need and there is no gap. How they managed to do that I don’t understand. The front display is amazing, a proper phone on its own. Beautiful colours, it’s sharp and responsive. But don’t forget there is a masive display inside (duh, obciously) which is even better. The size of it, man.. the brightness, responsivness, speed and feel.. just wow. It’s perfect for watching videos, but more importantly (at least for me) multitasking.. that’s just another level. I can easily do my admin work on it, no need to turn on my tablet, let alone my computer. My whole office fits in my pocket. Do I even need to talk about the camera.? I don’t think so. Long story short, it’s perfect. Yes, some might argue the middle crease is still visible, but when you dive deep into fully using it, you don’t notice it at all. It doesn’t bother me at all. I know it might seem like there isn’t any fault to this excellent device, but it’s a fact. Fine, I’ll name one. The ratio of the inside display could feel a bit awkward when watching movies and stuff. Lot’s of empty black space, but again, doesn’t bother me. Some people won’t need a phone this size, but if you’re like me, you’ll love it. Period.

I realise this review is for the Z Fold5 but you should know this. My Sister and I both purchased Z Fold 3's two years ago. Despite Samsungs boast, quote, " Samsung promises the device will survive a minimum of 200,000 folds" none of our phones lay flat anymore. If we have used it for 10 times a day over 2 years we will have opened and closed it 7,300 times. It is a hinge problem and although it is small I visually see it as an open book now. Shame, we both love the phone and maybe Samsung have overcome this problem on the Z Fold5? Good luck!

Feels amazing in the hands, and I am using this with one hand using the outer screen all day. All said, this is probably my favourite phone I've ever owned. I was pretty surprised by the narrowness of the device, but after about a day I was much more used to it. I bought this to serve as a replacement for both my Galaxy S23 and 8" tablet. In other words -I wanted it to be two devices in one, and primarily would only use it for light activities like watching movies, reading books, and general phone stuff. 70% of the time I'm using the external display like a traditional phone, and it's perfect for things like scrolling social media, reading emails, and sending out texts. The slim screen makes typing more cramped though, so I am relying more on gestures than normal typing. The other 30% of the time is using the amazing centre screen. It is clear, and the center fold isn't nearly as annoying as I thought it would be. I haven't used the split-screen app feature much, but when I have it's pretty cool. I usually use it to reference a spreadsheet while handling emails or something. The 120Hz AMOLED screen is an eye-opener. The fluidity of scrolling and the brilliance of colors truly set a new standard. Overall this is a great productivity device. If you are a device consolidator, love unique gadgets, or have a need for an 8" tablet often and don't want to carry it all the time, this phone's worth considering. I've had the phone for a week now and in the beginning I really didn't understand it's full capabilities until I purged myself totally of using my Galaxy S23. Using this device open and the task bar and multi-tasking has been amazing and I'm not sure I could ever use a non folding device from this point forward! I would highly recommend trying the Fold5.

Although the upgrades from the Fold 4 are somewhat minimal, they make a noticeable improvement to the phone. As expected, the screens on both sides are vibrant and bright. The folding screen really shines and stands out, however the smaller screen is no slouch. One can certainly use this screen and still get a lot of usage out of the phone. The main draw and appeal of the phone is the larger, folding screen. Although the folding line is visible at some angles, the screen itself is fantastic. The enormous size allows the user to multitask freely, with the added capabilities of the processor. The design of the phone seems premium and sleek. This iteration allows the phone to close fully flat (the Fold 4 had a slight gap). As is the case with modern phones, the phone feels sturdy, yet delicate. A case and being careful in general with the phone is vital, given the added apprehension about the folding screen. Nevertheless, it is certainly an attention grabber. One thing to note here is that the design of the phone still has not allowed for the S Pen to be stored inside the phone (nor does it come with one, which is disappointing given the price). Instead, a specific case is required, which is another added cost to an already expensive device. With that said, the phone does boast very high specs and making use of these specs to maximise the potential of the phone will be very much appreciated. This is coupled with Samsung's One UI overlay over Android, and it works very well. Having been accustomed to Android in general is helpful, but the options and abilities that Android affords are expansive and enticing for both seasoned and new users. The cameras on the phone are what is expected for a high end phone. They are very good. Perhaps not the best in class, but most users will be happy with what it has to offer. One thing to note is that Samsung's S23 Ultra's camera is a little better than the Fold 5's. However, they are still good enough. Though early days, the battery life seems fine. So far, the battery has lasted a day on moderate usage (a mix of web browsing, messaging, and some gaming). Overall, this is a versatile phone and can be useful for productivity and multitasking. However, the price element of it is something to really consider; can you get the best from another phone or would this sort of phone be most beneficial to you?

I always wanted to upgrade to a big screen phone from S21Ultra. Finally I did, my life is awesome ever since. Not only for Netflix, it's also super useful for everything else like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, WeChat. What made me chose Samsung over others is because it can be used with S Pen & 1TB storage. 1TB is essential for me, for my Hero12 4K120fps motorcycling videos. IPX8 is a must for me, I need it rain-proof as I'm a daily motorcyclist. Fold5's weakness over other brands folding phones is smaller screen of 7.6".

I had the Fold 5 for the last few weeks, but the battery consumption is not good. The finger marks stay on the main and cover LCDs. It is too difficult to keep the cover lcd clean all the time. The marks on the edges and the back camera do get easily, even the mobile phone is in the original Samsung fold case and still, I have scratches on the back camera. The camera is of average quality, the keyboard is good and when the fold is open, the typing and use is better, however I would prefer a single unit phone.

The keyboard is too small and I keep pressing . full stop . all the time when writing .... The notifications are all over the place and one has to hunt through miles of sub menus to find anything. The lock screen notifications do not show how they are meant to on the lock screen only small at the top and disappear in one second. The small screen is too far to the edges and one keeps catching it and making mistakes as the screen is to the edge. the open large screen is a bit of a mess and the split keyboard is useless. The full keys are way too low to the bottom and one keeps catching close page when pressing space bar., The lock screen is not having a flashing light as do the S7 S8 S9 to show that one has a message etc. pull down menu one has to flip sideways as well to get to settings Why???

Was a brilliant phone for 2 weeks and then something happened with the hinge and now the internal screen broke. Spoke to ee who directed me to samsung who then booked me an appointment at an EE store to look at it. Hopefully they fix it. I will say I am now stuck with this phone for the next 24 months.... a phone that didn't even last 1 month before breaking due to no fault of my own. Don't be a guinea pig like me and just go with a different phone to save yourself the disappointment.

Do not buy, its a con, they don't help you fix it...leave u with a product useless before a years end up....these screens are not ready for mass market, and the consumer pays for this greatly...no drop no scratches screen just cacked after only 9 months, after paying a fortune...your tv, laptop, tablet etc dont break after a few months, but if so,, no questions asked your covered with a warranty, so why isn't the fold 5.....surely it's your consumer protection rights....

The z fold 5 is a bigger upgrade from the z fold 4 than I was expecting. The difference in size although small does make a big difference and the phone now opens completely smoothly and silently. The software experience also feels smoother so overall it feels like a bigger upgrade than it might appear on paper. The outer screen is extremely high quality but does need to be at least a few millimeters wider, I really hope Samsung concentrate on this with the Z Fold 6.

Had I phones since they first came to UK wouldn't change as I wasn't sure if I could get on with Android and on 3 year contract it's a risk. Signed up for 02 switch up and thought why not if I don't like it I can change in 3 months, I have to say I'm impressed it's quick and size of screen is brilliant for games only downside is I saved some on game centre and can't get them on android. Overall I'm really happy with it.

6 months in now and I'm more than disappointed and regretting my decision, I always wanted a phone and waited till the fold 5 arrived hoping early issues would be ironed out.. the phone is a doggy mess all cases at present are useless and cause more damage than good,the hinge system gets full of dirt and leaves a gap in the screens when folded scratching the interior double screen. No case yet accepts a charger without removal, my screen and phone is scratched beyond belief for the age and all as a result of dropping the phone.. folded its to small open its to big and pointless unless sat all day on the device as a work device.. screens flicker from time.e to Time, quite often doesn't register touch so inoperable.. yeah pretty useless ph9ne at a stupidly jacked up price... never again and can safely say its the last Samsung I will ever have as they are not what they used to be

Both screens have high quality display and the large screen is extremely helpful when multitasking. It is very durable but the exposed metal on the edge can damage very easily so is better with a cover over it. It isn't as thick as I expected which is a positive and makes it more portable. Overall I find this phones performance and design very attractive and one of the best phones I have had!

I switched from iPhone to Samsung z fold 5. It's amazing, but because I'm not on contract , only monthly gift gaff plan WhatsApp is important to avoid paying data usage. And WhatsApp history doesn't automatically transfer. I love the fold out big screen and have been told Samsung replace screens that become faded on fold line. I bought mine second hand from family member. So far, so good

I have been using the fold 5 for around a month now and I couldn't see myself going back to a standard phone. I didn't realise I needed this until I got it. The 120hz screen on both front and inside display is amazing. I'm a gamer and playing games on this is a treat as you have more canvas with a great display and amazing spec. The only slight downside which I know is getting better every year is the slight fold in the middle of the screen but you can't notice this when looking directly at the screen. The fold allows so many more features that normal phones would not be capable of such as taking a selfie with the main camera. I had the s23 ultra before and apart from the zoom the untrained eye would not notice much difference. You can still record in 4K 60fps which is amazing in natural light. I could go on but you should definitely pick the fold 5 up if you are looking to transition away from the standard phone.

I bought my Samsung 4 weeks ago it was supposed to have been refurbished as it was 2nd hand ..I could not afford a new one but I could not use the data on it when I was out and about so I took it back to the place I bought it and I t still has not been repaired ..I love the phone but I have not had the enjoyment of using it yet

Honestly a refreshing experience, been with iphone for a number of years, before this I had a song Experia and a Motorola g6 and my experience of them was pretty bad, but that was a few years ago and I wanted a change from my Iphone, so I've gone back to android and I must say I love the experience on the z fold 5

Don't reccomend this phone at all. The screen is coming off when opening makes a very noticeable crack sound soon going to have a full break of the screen after 6 months! On contract with ee and say its a common manufacturer fault. Wish I could give the phone back and get the flip. Much more reliable

Having previously owned the Z Flip 4, I was curious as to how I'd get along with the Fold 5's bigger screen. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. Watching videos is a nice experience. I don't have to use another device for this purpose now, so the Fold 5 is really a universal device.

Really happy with my Samsung Z Fold 5. The feature to make it to a tablet mode is totally exceptional. It has very professional touch and camera is good too. Battery can be a bit better, but it is better than S22 ultra. Overall happy with the purchase

I tried this device mainly because it folds and it has a big screen, when I started using it i was surprised of the performance and the battery, the thing I like the most about it is the battery and it’s a big change from the S22 ultra to the z fold5.

Large screen is good for reading, even though the crease is visible. Dual sim potentially useful. Phone does not transmit # key. Apps cannot be configured differently for inner screen e.g. calendar day view for front and month for inner screen.

I mainly like the performance and stability of the device. I am slightly disappointed with the battery life but overall it is a great phone with many innovative features and really many good tools to use. Thanks Samsung.

The new screen is brilliant only issue i've had is the battery gets very hot specially if i am on a cam call which is annoying but other than that i can't fault it.. what i usually do is switch it off for 10 min

Best phone I've ever used. i also love that you can use multi window so that I can run 3 to 4 apps at a time. And the s pen pro features are amazing as well as the galaxy ring features such as the double pinch

Moving from an s22 ultra i was surprised how much better my z fold 5 is. The camera software takes far better pictures. Linking to printer etc is quick and easier. The web experience is better in ever way.
