Insert and Remove the SIM and Micro SD Card in Galaxy S9|S9+?

Your Galaxy S9 and S9+ uses a SIM card to provide you with access to make calls, send messages, and more. It also has expandable storage so you can have more space to save your moments.

Note:

The available screens and settings may vary by software version.

The ejector tool comes with your phone. If you have lost it, you can use a paper clip instead.

Galaxy S9 and S9+ requires a nano SIM card, if your SIM card is too big for the slot, please purchase a nano SIM card from your service provider.

Note: Be careful not to insert the ejector tool into the microphone hole also located at the top of your phone.

1 Carefully insert the ejection pin into the hole on the tray, ensuring it is perpendicular to the hole to avoid any damage to the phone.
2 Gently pull out the tray slot from the phone.
3 Place the SIM card and the microSD card on the tray accordingly.
4 Gently reinsert the tray into the phone.

Note: Be careful not to insert the ejector tool into the microphone hole also located at the top of your phone.

1 To remove the microSD card, you need to unmount it first. From Settings, Go to Device maintenance and then select Storage. Touch More Options > Storage settings > Click on SD Card > Touch Unmount. Now you can remove the SIM and microSD card.

2 Insert the ejector tool into the hole on the SIM/microSD card tray, and then push until the tray pops out. Remove the SIM and microSD card from the tray and then insert the SIM/microSD tray back into the slot.
