I always wonder what leads designers to change things that work well into something which doesn't work in the next upgraded model. This Tumble dryer is really great but have few annoying things which make no sense. 1. Water cumulating drawer doesn't have a see through element same as it was in the previous models where you could see what is the level of water to know when you need to empty it. I was expecting that maybe there will be a modern sensor instead... well what a disappointment...there is nothing. You just need to check it by opening every two-three cycles... to know when to empty. Ridiculous!! Very inconvenient. 2. The tinted door cover is made of....PLASTIC!! and it's a cheap plastic which easily holds finger prints and marks and it's easy to scrach when cleaning. Awful decision Samsung!! Why it's not glass? 3. Similar cheap piano black plastic used at the top... again marks are so hard to remove, easy to scratch looks really bad. 4. The top is about 1.5-2cm shorter than the back of the machine which leaves the gap when machine is free standing as the top doesn't touch the wall!!! Why? Can someone in Samsung explain the reason for this? Again looks stupid!! And I can already imagine how many things will fall in that gap. Other than that it's great product, much quieter and drying things quicker than model 5 which I had previously. I have it for a week now and really enjoy ( while trying to ignore or get used to 4 points from above).

After 2 terrible dryers we finally decided to purchase a Samsung, after glowing reviews from family members and boy we were not let down! This dryer is soo sleek and modern looking, an absolute breeze to use, dries clothes really efficiently and they still smell amazing (which was an issue I was having with other brands) and is really energy efficient according to my smart meter, it even has a light inside the drum!! We decided to invest into a thumble dryer and omg, this dryer absolutely transformed our lives! It’s a+++ energy is giving back amazing results!! The clothes had been fully dry (we mostly use AI load) but also tried wool and quick dry. Every time clothes are good as new!!! Not only just dries the fabric but also clean off the remaining pet hairs which had still had been on after the wash. I was really worried that the drying time would take ages and the clothes would come out damp. This was not the case at all, im so glad I took the plunge to heat pump. The drying time has exactly the same drying time per load as my condenser, I also don't have to run it more than once to dry the clothes, they come out perfect each time. I use the AI function with 4 as the type of dry im looking for. Its perfect. Ive already passed the details to friends a d neighbours who are going to buy the same. I really regret not buying this sooner. It's so quiet we don't realise it's on.

We love 90% of this machine! The energy usage on the machine is fantastic a 75-90% load uses around 0.6-1 KWH which is huge compared to our old B rated dryer that used 3.4 KWH per cycle. We have one snag in that the AI cycle 7/10 leaves the items slightly damp and not fully dry. Popped back in for 20 minutes usually takes care of that. It really is a great Tumble Dryer well worth the investment especially as we traded in our old dryer that was falling apart for £150 off, the smart features on the SmartThings app is really good and following the energy usage is handy. Weigh up how many times you use the dryer and compare what energy costs will be between cheaper models, this will give us a good return on investment within a year possibly two.

Never thought I would be excited about a tumble dryer, but this one has proved to be a great purchase. Quiet and energy efficient and whilst it might not be the quickest, it's not slow and the results are very good. Most of our drying loads have taken about 1.5hrs to compete which is fine for our needs. Samsung Smart features are also useful to know how long remains on a cycle, when it is finished and the option to remotely set the drying mode. Purchased in black to replace an old integrated model and it looks great.

Great for smaller items but don’t even attempt to dry bedding. Given there’s a bedding function it’s absolutely pointless. Any bedding no matter how little or much you put in just rolls up into a ball so tight it doesn’t dry! Even tried dryer balls. The whole cost effectiveness goes out the window as you have to keep stopping the cycle to un tangle it all and keep doing this several times. You can hear the bedding thudding around in the dryer which can’t be doing it much good. By this point the dryer has been on far longer than ever intended and probably cost way more than any standard dryer. Very frustrating and disappointing. This dryer doesn’t reverse spin which is the issue, Samsung need to make that clear on the description as I would have looked at another option.

Recently had a new kitchen fitted and decided to install all new appliances. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Fridge. Induction hob. Hood. After a couple of weeks of use, my tumble dryer developed a knocking noise. I made a call to Samsung and an engineer came to have a look. Advised it was a 2man job to sort, as my laundry appliances are stacked. A few days later another 2ebgineers arrived to carry out the repair. For a couple of cycles, the dryer was silent as it should be. But soon enough, the noise came back amd has gradually got louder. Ive made yet another call to samsung and am awaiting another visit from an engineer. Atthis point, after spending this amount of money, I just want it replaced. As an appliance that's only a few weeks old should not have to be repaired twice.

I've had my new heat pump dryer for a few days now and absolutely love it. The size is slightly smaller footprint than my old dryer but drum size is bigger which is great. The look of it is so minimalistic but very stylish in white with a silver drawer front and control panel. It has so many features to choose from which is excellent. The dryer itself is designed very well and all settings work absolutely well. The drying times are good too. I'm very pleased with my purchase and would defo recommend.

Purchased this tumble dryer to replace an old Bosch unit which had seen better days and had a number of issues This new Heat pump tumber dryer is so much more efficient along with being a lot quieter. Great that you can edit the programs available from the Smart things app to improve convienience. Takes a little longer to run a cycle however the clothes come out a lot fresher and less chance of shrinking due to the lowere temperatures Really good machine that i would recommend to all

I really wished I took note of the other reviews. Honestly one of the worst products I've ever purchased/used. It should be illegal for any business to sell products that just don't do what they're supposed to. The dryer is super difficult to use / select the correct drying intensity and time. Drying sheets is impossible, as there is no setting or scenario where the sheets don't get balled up into a really tight ball (one sheet, or many). You'll have to stop the dryer every ten minutes or so to take everything out, unwind, then put everything back in. Ten minutes, you'll need to do the same thing again. Even drying smaller items isn't great. Anything with a pull cord (eg: hoodie) will get caught in the lint filter (it has a series of triangles in the plastic) and again, will twist into a tight ball. This is a very poor product.

Was skeptical about the efficiency of these heat pump dryers, but given the recent energy prices, this dryer has been a great investment. My smart meter is currently reading between 5p to 10p per hour of usage, which is considerably less than my old Hotpoint condenser dryer (which used to put out a load of condensation). Clothes come out perfectly dry, the dryer isn’t noisy, and there’s good integration with the Samsung SmartThings app.

This dryer is hopeless at drying bedding. I bought it as an upgrade from a hotpoint dryer and because of the energy rating. It’s great with all of my drying needs apart from bedding. It instantly rolls it all in to a tight knot and nothing dries properly. The only way I can get my bedding dry now is to keep opening the machine and untangling it during the cycle. Dreadful for such an expensive machine.

Amazed by the low energy usage of this dryer compared to my old unit. Nice and quiet, easy to use. Really like the AI auto load sensing. Reading other heat pump dryer reviews of how it would take longer to dry being a heat pump model but it hasn't been a problem at all. Bit unsure about heat pump tumble dryers, but this one seems very good at the moment. Drying time using the AI function is much quicker than expected, actually not too far off a normal condenser dryer. Very quiet as well. All in all, so far so good

Good dryer, but needs a software update. I have the washing machine to match, which includes a timed wash option. Why is there none on the dryer? Fur such a high end dryer this is incredible. And it could easily be added via a software update

As the weather is still nice and I haven't had to use the dryer much I can't really give a full review but the appliance is very quiet. My previous dryer always left a slightly metallic smell on the clothes while they now smell fresh.

Pretty dryer but doesn’t dry clothes first time. You can do a AI dry and when it stops, you feel stuffs still damp so put back in and it senses the load! Another 75 minutes! How is that cost effective??? Very quiet

I have experienced nothing but issue after issue with this dryer, despite the high end price! Throughout winter, it was impossible to get clothes to fully dry without running it for hours and hours and hours on multiple cycles in desperation to get my family of four’s clothes dry (I usually have to do at least two loads a day in our home). After all that drying, the thing that was persistently noted was a constant damp / mildew / mouldy odour that, no matter what I tried, either from the Samsung manual (NO, it is not th heat exchange - I have cleaned that MULTIPLE times, along with the lint trap AND using their self tub dry mode), I have never been able to eradicate. Which means that unfortunately for my family, we have the option of waiting endlessly for Landry to dry on clothing wracks around the house or put up with clothes that come out of the dryer smelling like wet dogs and / or mildew and mould. Needless to say, I am extremely unsatisfied with this product and I honestly think they should discontinue making it. I will never buy another Samsung laundry appliance again. I have the washer that goes with this and that deserve a 1 star review all of its own! DON’T BUY THIS DRYER!!!
