Front-load Washer EcoBubble™ 7.5kg

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washing machine is the best washer I've ever owned. It's much quiet than my old machine and uses less energy too. The quick add (AddWash) door is a blessing, so stray socks and underwear can easily be added to a wash cycle once it has started. Setting up the Smart Control feature over WiFi was straightforward, helped by already having the SmartThings app installed on my phone. There’s an audible alert when the wash cycle has finished and an alert to the SmartThings app. All in all, I’m delighted with this purchase.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. Once it arrived we put it to work immediately. You can work it straight from the User Interface on the machine, but it would be more fun to link up to the associated App on my phone. The App was super easy to use and very intutive. We clicked on the Recipe Feature, and found that all clothing types were highlighted, however upon hitting one categorisation, say underwear, immediately other Incompatible categories are greyed out, to inform you that they are not suitbable to be washed together. Then once you click on each category that is compatible, you are then asked what is Darks or Whites and then it calculates the best setting for the Cycle and pops up a button for you to send that setting to the washing machine, thus taking out a lot of the guesswork. Machine is sturdy enough however felt a little light on the drum compared to previous machines, but again this may be a good thing. The Best feautues of the machine was offering Cycles and Features I have never seen before on a washing machine, e.g. The Eco 40 to 60 degrees, Hygiene Steam and Silent wash. But the best one being the Self Drum Clean. All of which will be used over the course of the life of the machine, only had it a week so far. Another great feature is the Add wash Door, truly a handy addition by the Boffins. Allowing you to Pause the Current wash and simply open the top door immediately to add in forgotten items. Then simply unpause and carry on. Great for a Busy Mum and the environment as stops having to do another load.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. I have found this washing machine easy to use and set up. It's definately economic as my smart meter is never in the red when using this machine. It's very quiet and cleans a variety of clothes really well. If it could improve it would be to be able to contol and have more options on the app as once you start a wash the app is just in viewing mode, would be great if you could actually start and stop a wash from the app. I like the add clothes door and found myself using this more than I thought so it's a great feature. Overall a nice looking machine which does it's job well. Would recommend this.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. Installation was very simple. First impressions were good, the machine is aesthetically pleasing and feels solid and well built. Our first minor issue was the visibility of the control markings in the lighting conditions of our room. The gold on grey markings are difficult to see from a standing position. Fortunately there are Braille and tactile guides so we got used to finding them quickly. As a large family the machine has been used several times every day since it was received. There is a wide selection of cleaning programmes available but the machine "learns" which are used most often and can offer them as first options to save time. The cleaning programmes seem longer than previous machines but they use less energy so save both money and the environment. The cleaning results are perfectly satisfactory. The Smart Home features of the machine were easy to set up, and do provide useful information, but we have not yet explored them all. In summary; We are very satisfied with the machine so far.

I received this washing machine from Samsung to product test. The machine was easy to install and with its sleek and stylish design fits in well. The option to connect it via an app to your phone is a useful addition, while it was easy to connect to my Samsung phone it would not connect to my daughters i-phone. It lets you know when your wash has been completed even if you are not at home. There are plenty of wash options to chose from we tend to use the Hygiene Steam or the Eco mode, it would be nice if there was a pet mode. I could certainly see a difference in my white wash. The Add Wash function is great, as well as being able to pause the machine to put in a stray sock or whatever I also use it to put my liquid detergent dosing ball in, it saves the risk of it falling out onto floor when large door is used. The machine is very quiet so would be unobtrusive in a kitchen. My son likes the 9kg capacity as he can now do his washing in 2 loads rather than 3. He found it very simple to use. I have been unable to find a time delay function. There are a couple of minor irritants, I feel the instructions could be clearer and more comprehensive, a bigger type would also be good. The music at the end while useful can be rather grating, nice if there could be an option to change tune and duration via the app. These are minor irritants and I would have awarded 5 starts if it wasn't for them.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. I owned a Samsung washing machine prior to this one and I can say there have been some great improvements. On turning the machine on for the first time, the machine will take you through a ‘welcome to your machine’. Follow all the instructions and do a wash. Otherwise, the next time you turn it on it goes through the whole process again. The most noticeable improvement is how much quieter it is, especially on spin cycle. You can happily hold a conversation in the same room whilst it is at full spin. There is more space between the seal and door, so less likely for small items to become trapped (which was a problem I often encountered with my old machine). The door release at end of cycle is swift, so no waiting to unload the machine. The AddWash at first seems like a gimmick but is extremely useful. However, there are limits to this, e.g. time into cycle and temperature of water. If you have clothes which require only a rinse and/or spin or you need to add a special softener during the wash you can set the SmartThings App to provide an AddWash Alarm at first rinse, final rinse or spin. Great option to save you from waiting for a cycle to finish and then to have to run machine again on a rinse and/or spin cycle. There are an array of wash programmes and you also have the option of a programme to ‘pick and mix’ items and the machine will suggest the best cycle. This works well but there have been a couple of times where the programme, depending on what types of clothing you have selected, will not let you select certain items together. In this case you would have to select the default ‘mixed load’ on the machine rather than tailoring it yourself. I used it for a ‘pick and mix’ and where I would normally place the load on a 40 degree wash the machine selected 30. It washed perfectly well. There is a 15min short wash, which I would imagine will be extremely useful when we are short of time. Far quicker and more convenient than handwashing and waiting for a rinse and spin on my old machine! There does not appear to be any informative instructions on where to place the plastic insert when using liquid detergent. I have searched online but the exact tray is not shown on Samsung’s Q&A page. I have placed the insert where I believe it should go. However, when you pour in the detergent, it runs under the gauge, therefore unless you have measured it beforehand, you’ll never reach the max level mark. Surely the detergent should be held in the dispenser until the wash starts!?! The soap dispenser tray is designed to be self-cleaning. It is too early to comment, but hopefully this will be a beneficial feature as my old machine’s tray was often covered in mildew and it was extremely difficult to clean the housing around it. The machine connected to the WiFi, first time, and to my phone without issues. The smart phone connectivity using Samsung’s SmartThings is self-explanatory and after a couple of goes becomes easy to use. The ‘time left’ feature on the phone app is useful, as you are notified when the cycle has finished. If you have a compatible Samsung Drier, there is a great feature where the washing machine will send the washing cycle it has just used, to the drier, to set the correct drying cycle. The energy monitor, under settings, on the SmartThings App is a useful guide to energy consumed over the day, week and month. If you have a compatible television, a message that the machine has finished will pop up on your screen, which is great as the finished load does not sit in the machine until you finally remember you put a load on, hours ago!

Bought this washing machine along with a Samsung heatpump thumble dryer and they both do truly amazing work together and very easy to maintain.The products comes with 5 year labour and parts warranty which gives you peace of mind.Simply love the products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washing machine looks so sleek and modern with minimalist design. It is quiet and with an A for energy rating, gives us a peace of mind. Our first wash, we took advantage of the addWash feature as we had left a pair of socks in the laundry bin. Before this would have resulted in a lengthy wait, turning off the machine and waiting for the door to open, loading the socks and restarting the program. This would have lead to wastage both energy, water and detergent. Now just pause the program, open the addWash hatch and plop in the rest of laundry. The washing machine works with our smart phone and even sends us notification of status of wash.
