Game Bar just got better on your Samsung TV
Whether you've relied on the Game Bar in the past or you're looking for a way to upgrade your gaming experience, the improved Game Bar is the way to go. It introduces a new Minimap Zoom feature to help you see better, a virtual aim point setting, and other enhancements, available on 2023 Samsung TV models.
Open the Game Bar and see its new settings
Note: In addition to Game Mode being enabled, a game console needs to be connected to the TV in order for the Game Bar to appear.
If you're wondering where to explore next in your game, the Game Bar's Minimap Zoom can provide a closer look at the map. Additionally, the Game Bar offers other helpful settings to enhance your gaming experience.
To access the Game Bar, ensure Game Mode is turned on. Press and hold the Home button on the TV's remote, select All Settings, then Connection, and finally Game Mode Settings. Ensure Game Mode is set to On or Auto.
To open the Game Bar, press and hold the Play/Pause button on your TV’s remote. Features available on the 2023 Game Bar include:
Minimap Sharing: Simultaneously play your game and watch a walkthrough.
Virtual Aim Point: Assist your aiming in FPS games with virtual aiming on the screen. Input Lag: Adjust the Input Lag status for optimal gameplay. Selecting 'Fastest' will disable Game Motion Plus mode.
Game Picture Mode: Tailor the Game Picture Mode to the genre of the current game. For FPS games, for example, you can adjust the setting accordingly. To customize picture quality further, select Custom.
Ultrawide GameView (Screen Ratio): Adjust the screen ratio from the standard 16:9 to Ultrawide (21:9 or 32:9). This feature is available when the source is set to PC.
Minimap Zoom (New): Zoom in on the Minimap or any desired area of the screen, with adjustable zoom rate. This feature is accessible with aspect ratios of 16:9, 21:9, or 32:9.
Sound Output: Select your preferred sound output device (e.g., TV speaker, soundbar, Bluetooth headset).
Help Guide (New): Access detailed instructions on using each menu item.
Game Mode Settings: Directly access the Game Mode Settings menu.
Current Status Display: Adjust various display settings to achieve your desired gaming experience. This consolidates the display settings that were listed separately in previous models, including FPS (displaying frames per second in real time, which varies if VRR is active), HDR (indicating when an HDR game is running), and VRR (showing the variable refresh rate).
