Check the Proximity sensor.

The Galaxy XR has a proximity sensor on the inside of the left headset. When you place the headset on your head, the sensor turns on the display.

  • Remove the headset and ensure the sensor is not covered by accessories like stickers or covers.
  • Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the sensor and the surrounding surface. Avoid liquids or chemicals like alcohol or ammonia-based products, as they may damage the lens.
2

Press the Top button.

  • Press the Top button once to open the launcher.
  • Press the Top button twice to open the Camera app.
  • Press the Top button three times to start eye tracking calibration.
  • Press and hold the Top button to turn on the headset if it's off or to open the digital assistant you've set.

Connect the USB Type-C cable to the battery pack, and attach the other end of the cable to the wall adapter. Then, plug the adapter into a power outlet. Make sure the battery status indicator lights up to confirm charging has started.

  • Use only the Samsung-approved charger and cable provided with the battery pack. Avoid using Micro USB cables.
  • Disconnect once fully charged (approximately 90 minutes with a 45W TA).
  • Do not charge if the connector is wet. Ensure it is completely dry before charging.

Insert the power cable firmly into the Galaxy XR port on the battery pack. Then, align the other end of the cable with the device’s power connector and push it downward until it clicks into place.

  • If the headset does not power on, disconnect and reconnect the cable.
  • If the battery status indicator blinks, disconnect the power cable and try again after a short while.
  • When connected, the headset powers on automatically. If turned off while connected, it can be restarted within 2 hours by pressing and holding the Top button. After 2 hours, press the battery level check button on the battery pack, and connect the charger.
  • If the device still does not turn on, press and hold the battery level check button on the pack for more than 7 seconds to reset the battery pack before trying again.
