Samsung Soundbar or Wi-Fi speaker registration issues in SmartThings or Samsung Sound

The Samsung Sound app currently supports 2026 products and the HW-LS60D Music Frame. Older soundbar models (2023-2025) are planned for future updates.

Check the Bluetooth connection.

Navigate to and open Settings, and then tap Connections Bluetooth. Ensure the Bluetooth switch is enabled on your mobile device.

A stable Bluetooth connection is essential for successful registration.

Power cycle the sound device.

Unplug the power cord from your Soundbar, Wi-Fi Speaker, or Music Frame, and wait for 30 seconds before plugging it back in. This resets the sound device and clears any temporary errors.

Remove the device from Bluetooth pairing list.

  • Android: Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth. If the sound device appears in the Paired devices list, tap the Settings icon next to it and select Unpair.

  • iOS: Go to Settings > Bluetooth > My Devices. If the sound device is listed, tap the Info button and tap Forget This Device.

Re-register the sound device.

Open the SmartThings app or Samsung Sound app. Then, attempt to add the sound device again. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration process.
