Dual recording missing in the Camera app on Galaxy phones

If you can't find the Dual rec (Dual recordings) mode in the More menu of the camera on your Galaxy phone, it's because the feature has been integrated into the Video menu starting with One UI 8.5. Learn how to access Dual rec mode and enable it as a separate mode using the Camera Assistant app.

Dual recording missing in the Camera app on Galaxy phones

Switch to Dual rec mode

  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. Tap Video mode.

  4. Tap the Dual recordings (it looks like a square with a smaller square in the corner) icon to start recording.

Enable Dual rec mode as a separate mode

  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. Tap the Quick controls icon (the four circles).

  3.  Tap the Go to settings icon (it looks like a gear).

  4. Tap Camera Assistant, and then turn on Dual rec in the Additional modes section.

Now, when you open the Camera app, tap More at the bottom of the menu, and then tap DUAL REC to access it as a separate mode.
